The passion of Christ is an anointed movie. The crucifixion was even worst than it showed in the movie. I watched this movie and same night, the father came to me and I woke up with full understanding and conviction of what Jesus did on the cross. After that I got water and spirit baptism. I have seen demons manifested in people when they are about to get water baptism by full immersion. Yet this goof would say born of water is not water baptism and is not a requirement for salvation!! I do agree that Aramaic words are profound and most of it is lost in the English translation. However Aramaic or not, Jesus Christ is the one true living God and you ain’t gonna take that away from me. Secondly it’s not about religion or Christian, but to be saved and have eternal life, you need to believe in the work of the cross, that Jesus died for our sins, his shed blood was to buy us back, the ransom payment to bring us to the kingdom of light and he defeated the devil. Well, I finally found my old CO from my Marine Corps days. I was in 1st Bn 6th Marines at Camp Lejeune, NC and then, LT. J.J. Carmody was my Company Commander. He signed my DD 214 so I still have his signature in my records. I never did know him personally since I was a 19 year old enlisted Marine, Corporal to be exact, and Corporals and 1st Lieutenants didn't fraternize. Sir, I'm glad to see that you are active in service for Christ. Since my Marine Corps days, I too have entered into a life for Christ. I am a minister who pastored for eight years but now I am a lay-minister, filling in for my pastor on occasion. I remember Lt. Carmody as a tall, dark-haired, good looking Marine and I was always impressed with his Silver Star medal on his chest. He is/was a real combat hero and I admire him, then and now. Semper Fi Capt. One thing I do not agree with Mr. Rocco is the beating of Jesus. Jesus was INDEED beaten to pulp. Ask the folks who studied the authentic shroud of Turin and they are able to give him the exact numbers of beatings/lashes they counted on the body/shroud of Jesus. No Mel Gibson did not overdo it in the scourging. That was an exact portrayal of what our Lord suffered. That is a physical evident fact that was left behind testimony of all the suffering our Lord had to endure. Now the fact that Mel Gibson used children in the judas scene well I guess Gibson used a dramatic license to portray something he chose to add to the film. But again the scourging scene was authentic and very dramatic but I say that today in 2018 we know that the shroud of Turin is the sheet that wrapped Jesus' body before the resurrection.

I have been a member since the late 80s when it was just a small church and then grew into what it is today. I get that this is a time of ignorance where people are going to have sarcastic questions where they miss the message. Why are people on here attacking this amazing WOman instead of listening and understanding what she has to say? She speaks of having peace thru balance. Everything in the bible speaks of having perfect balance of mind body and soul. Dr. Barbara King has helped countless children men and women and because her statue intimidates weak individuals they the weak have negative questions and opinions. Which is why those same weak individuals will stay in a state confusion. Dr. Barbara King you are much loved and will be defended..

It is clear that Professor Errico has a great understanding of Aramaic, but to say that his beliefs are based upon the Aramaic text is completely misleading and untrue. It is even clearer to anyone that can listen critically to what Dr. Errico is saying that he has some strange beliefs that are not based on any version of the Gospels, IE Greek or Aramaic. He has his own beliefs that are based upon a thwarted view of history and a more Unitarian worldview. Many other Aramaic scholars would disagree with what Dr. Errico said about almost everything. He even calls the gospels "exaggerated", which demonstrates that he does not really have respect for them as authoritative. Also, he has a huge anger problem! His hands started shaking when he spoke about Mel Gibson's Passion movie! Why?
