The Two Ronnies Christmas Night With The Stars 1972
1:25 The timing of this sketch is unbelievable.
I just love to see the old two Ronnies classics makes me laugh so much
Absolutely brilliant !!-we are so lucky to have these ,--before all humour is "banned"-
Barker genius , Corbet pompous overacting turd
ohhh what happend to tv ???? rearly ???
its a british rail winterbreak weekend !! too much funny it is
CHASS and DAVE! !I known them sinds I was verry joung, I'm 60 now and I'm from Belgium Ronny Barker, Ronny Corbett, great actor's, verry great.
Dad's Army? No way
What can you recommend to watch of the same vibe from the past, 80s, 90s?
TWO RONNIES Ie BARKER & CORBETT, FANTASTIC 😊 COMEDY
ACCORDING TO ’’OTHER’’ LEGENDS...JESHUA WAS ’’BORN’’ IN MARCH..NOT IN DECEMBER WHICH WAS A MERE ’’ROMAN REMEMBRANCE FEAST ’’JANUS_FEAST’..
and this puts me right back on the big brown sofa in 1974-1982 with my dad, who would've howled throughout. The humour was the best ever mix of highbrow and lowbrow. I miss them both and those simpler days.
Not their best Christmas show but still infinitely better than any of the Morecambe and Wise shows.
What a classic. I remember watching them as a young teen. As a young adult I remember borrowing the cassette from the local country library (yes that long ago) and listening to it. The real magic of the two ronnies is that the word pictures came alive - no visual effects needed, you could visualise everything and if you'd only saw the show once you could insert the vocal format. That's how good they actually were.
Ronnie B slipping into Fletch mode in the 1st sketch 😂
BLOODY 😢funny the 2 Ron's r absolutely 💯 C u 2 on another video Thank u 2 Ron's u r absolutely fantastic ❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😢
i hated lulu
I thought I'd seen all of 2R's Xmas specials from the 1980s, but don't recall this one. Some interesting names popping up in the credits including Charlton Heston (presumably a tribute), Ed Bishop (Cmdr Stryker from Gerry Anderson's UFO), Frank Finlay (the Witchsmeller Pursuivant from Blackadder) and of course scriptwriting regular "Gerald Wiley" (an old school chum of RB's).
Isn't it funny how somethings are poorly written and abhorrent to watch, yet some things are well written and are occasionally rather embarrassing to watch.
When Ronnie B mentioned Syd living in Croydon. Ronnie C did live about 3 miles from Croydon. About 5mins walk from my front door at that time. Regularly saw his Roller pass by , given the impression there was no one at the wheel.
The courtroom sketch was hilarious. 😂😂
Absolutely incomparable. Comedy legends. ❤
These guys were the best!!!
Leagues ahead of the woke rubbish the BBC churns out these days.
It's amazing to think that, when this Christmas special was made, the UK was in the middle of an energy crisis. Even so, the BBC (& the larger ITV companies) were still producing top-quality specials just like this. And the BBC wonders why it's being criticised by the public today. Compare this to the cheap, poor quality crap that they masqueraded as family entertainment this Christmas. Having to repeat the Christmas Day episode of Doctor Who 3 times on Boxing Day, various times on BBC ONE, TWO & THREE. Abysmal compared to 50 years ago
Ronnie B’s last TV show before his retirement, went out at the top
How comedy was and how it should still be......funny!
8:31 I love how the audience laughs twice. Once at the idea that piranhas would be a "surprise in the bath" and a second time when they realize what Lill MEANT by a "surprise in the bath".
40:03 - and I'm watching 50 years on from broadcast 21:35 Boxing day 1973 - within 4.5 hours. I imagine in another 50 years people will still be watching these . .
What a lot of shit and awful singer
A partnership made in heaven nothinng has ever surpassed ❤
Alas, passed its sell- by date. No longer funny.
superb.
genius.
Back when the licence fee was worth paying... Glorious TV ❤❤❤
I am saying this many years later, brilliant humour, now dead. In 2023 Xmas, I am celebrating the Two Ronnies as being among the last of English humour. I will miss you, fellas...
Dads Army would have been the best act on the show, Mike Yarwood, The Liver Birds and the Goodies would have been good too. There’s always a Scrooge somewhere ready to block the merriment! STOP PRESS: the show is intact elsewhere on RUclips at 1 hour 19 mins!
The Yukon and the Klondike are in Canada not Alaska.
Two of my favourite ronnies
‘What problem?’ 😂😂😂
left England in 1968 and watching this suddenly have a craving for a light and bitter in The Anchor.......my old local
The best comedy duo ever.
Just google the two Ronnie’s you will see how versatile they are
The Two Ronnies never had an apostrophe. Had you Googled them, you'd know this.
Wow I was 11 I loved growing up in the 70s the best times we ways got the radio times and looked at what programmes we would be watching over Christmas and new year
Wow sally james of tizwas fame.
Sally James at 22years old looked so cute.
Brilliant so funny, great writing and fabulous delivery. Pity today’s so called comics aren’t funny, pathetic, basically laughing at themselves shouting! The only good one in my opinion being Miranda Hart, I do like her.
Think Barker was so clever to "retire" (ok he came back for the odd little thing here and there" as regarding the two Ronnie's the quality was just starting to dip in their last 2/3 years...was still funny but no quite to the high standards when they were at their peak... The other heavyweight duo Morecambe and Wise seriously declined after leaving the BBC in January 1978 and should have called it a day after Morecambe had his second heart attack..
This was recorded in the times that the BBC licence was worth paying!
Good Old' England !!!!!
I was 22 years old when I watched this it’s still got it 👍 thanks for putting up 👏👏👏
I used to like the two Ronnie’s, but watching it now, I see how childish, silly, anti non British, and Christian supremists it really was back then. And sadly the world has deteriorated drastically since then.
