In this video, I show you step by step the proper way to load and secure a vehicle using a flatbed tow truck when towing cars. You don't put the vehicle in park once it strapped?
@@unclescarhead5587 nope, I transport in neutral. If you have all 4 points secured, you shouldn’t have to worry about anything moving around.
Getting verified on Google maps is a pain in the ass.
@@TowMan127 not getting any argument from me. Haha, Google is a monopoly and has absolutely NO interest in helping legitamate businesses, only their bottom line.
@@cashtows yeah I don’t get why they make it so hard for an actual business owner to verify their business. 😂 I’m watching videos to learn this stuff cause the last company I worked for fired me cause I wouldn’t sign a non compete agreement and I decided to start my own company instead of working for someone else. I’ve worked 24 years as a tow truck operator for other companies so now I’m taking a chance on myself.
Never been in the industry barely learning , is it bad to load it front end I think about everytime loading ass end first so all the weight are on my drive tires ? Haul with chains we have a car hauler this is next I'm poor but soon
I like to think of it as a balance beam. As long as you have the weight level, you’ll be fine. Things to be aware of when pulling backwards is damage to mirrors, tonneau cover, front bumper, etc. Vehicles are not designed to be driven 60+ mph backward, more liability for you as a driver. With that being said, I do it all the time…EXCEPT CONVERTIBLES!!! Don’t ever haul a convertible backwards, the rear window can easily blow out.
Thanks a million for making this video! Your videos have been helpful.
Thank you so much for creating this video. Helps so much!
Great video. I’m in the market to buy my first flat bed
This was a great educational video! A BIG help for me❤
Didn't see you put the car in park when you had your first strap on and on some cars you should lower a window some cars will lock if the key is on and then you have another problem plus if you don't carry a lock out kit then what I think your video is a good training vid but when you are showing the hook points you should show what goes where the mini j the r hook the t hook because you have the right vehicle to work with using the cluster bridal just saying
Hey! Thanks for watching, I really appreciate it! I didn’t put the vehicle in park because I transport in neutral. My question to you would be: Why do you tow in park? You need to have 4 points secured, if done correctly, the vehicle will not go anywhere. This is taught in most tow truck training programs such as Wreckmaster. I also leave the key in the ignition for 3 main reasons. 1. Most vehicles will not allow you to pull the key from the ignition if it’s not in park. 2. If the key is in the ignition and turned back so accessory is off, the vehicle will not lock. 3. It prevents me from leaving the key in my pocket, where in the past I’ve forgot it, and then I have to drive back to the drop off location to drop the key back off. I ONLY use the mini J, big J, or soft straps. The rest of the cluster gets ground off and thrown in my scrap metal pile. I realize this may be controversial but it works for me and does not, in any way, decrease safety during transport. Everything gets gently snugged down with the winch once I’m finished securing. My loads don’t shift or roll around using my method. Hope this cleared some things up for you! STAY SAFE OUT THERE!!
@cashtows wreck masters don't show you everything I was watching a video from wreckmaster about loading a car on a flatbed it was a Cadillac with a long back end you know the bumper gonna scrape what should you do not worry about it or use wood plus putting it in park Will keep the car from rolling away if in a accident or when your straps rip because when you think the straps are tight they will stretch and loosen when you stop and go in traffic and don't say it hasn't been done no matter how long you been towing your still learning
dude do a course or upload new videos
Hey thanks for watching! I really appreciate it. Do you operate a tow truck?

For the love of Pete! 🤣 I told you 4 times! 😅
Sir IP address blocking is not the best way. Click fraud rarely use the same IP address twice. There are other more robust methods than IP blocking. Besides google only lets you block 500 IP at a time. More on this topic if need be . Wondering if you are just pushing this low quality info just to get revenue with your affiliate marketing with clickcease. Also clickcease is garbage and over inflates the amount of money that you save. I hope I am wrong about you brotha.
Hey Jason, thanks for your input. I appreciate you taking the time to watch my videos and comment. Unfortunately, this video is nearly a year old and I should work on an update. As you know, things are always changing in the world of Google and technology in general. Things are moving even faster now that we have AI. I understand why IP blocking might not be the best way to prevent click fraud. I have a specific configuration I use for ClickCease which seems to work for what I'm doing. I'm currently undergoing testing with and without the use of ClickCease in multiple accounts. I'm reaching the end of my tests and think it would be safe to say that Click Cease doesn't offer as much protection as they claim. I'm not sure what you mean when you say "Click fraud rarely use the same IP address twice". Sure. There are IP rollers, VPN's, programs/bots, etc., but an IP address does not change that quick unless they have a program to do so, please tell me if I'm wrong. Their IP may change in a few hours or even by the next day allowing them to continue fraud which is problem with most any other click fraud software. The 500 IP limit just adds to the list of reasons not to use click fraud software. I realize this is all irrelevant considering Google has it's proprietary fraud detection and will not refund any fraud reports from external software, which again, is ANOTHER problem when using click fraud software. Interested to hear the "more robust methods" you mentioned. Now, I've gotta push back on some of the comments you made. I'm not sure why you would think I'm getting rich off of ClickCease Affiliate links from a 1,700 sub channel but it couldn't be further from the truth. As a matter of fact, I've made exactly $0 from ClickCease Affiliate program, haha. I was deemed a "legend" from a viewer who watched this specific video which would imply the opposite of your "low quality info" comment, haha. My goal is to be transparent and informative to help the tow ops who were in my shoes years ago. I absolutely, 100% DO NOT intend to steer anyone in the wrong direction. Ever. I believe that the info in this video IS quality and informative and has helped many viewers, despite what you may think. There are a TON of RUclipsrs who are not transparent and even go as far as filtering their comment section from viewers who call them out on their BS. I, on the other hand, do not hide anything. If I'm doing something wrong, I would like to know so I can correct, learn from mistakes, and grow. Feel free to comment, email, or DM me if you'd like to discuss further. I'm open to new ways of doing things and enjoy learning. I make mistakes and am often wrong about things. I would like to further this discussion with you, do you have a company or are you the op? haha Thanks again for checking out Cash Tows and look forward to your reply!
So you need a cdl to operate these trucks or can a class c be good enough ?
A standard class D drivers license is all you need! That will cover you up to 26,000 pounds. So basically you can drive any single axle truck up to 26,000 pounds gross weight. Anything over that, you will be required to obtain a CDL.
@@cashtows hey Do you mean class c ? you put class D. I got an interview this week that’s why I’m asking. Thanks for your feedback. I’ll subscribe to your channel
Minnesota is class D. I’m not sure about other states but a class D in MN is your normal drivers license, nothing extra. Might want to look into your state specifically.
The worst the customers addatud the more the charges its all was be that way😊
Always. Haha
I'm considering starting or buying a towing business. Is there more to it than meets the eye or is it pretty straight forward? I've been in hvac for the last 5 years and it was WAY more complicated than I expected...
For me, towing is easy. I don’t think it’s difficult but you really need to pay attention to what you’re doing and have a system in place for everything. I’ve worked with some companies who are just stuck in their ways and refuse to try another way. They typically quit before their renewal and continue to be unsuccessful. I think it just comes down to who you are as a person. There are a TON of headaches in this business, but if you know what you’re doing, you can make a lot of money. Choosing the wrong truck, providing only certain services, ignoring phone calls, not having systems in place, and being impatient are the top reasons I see most companies fail.

How do you only make 100/day?
That’s an average for him in his area. Like he stated in the video, he doesn’t work every day. He will make $300-$500 in a day and then not take any calls for 3 days. He works when he wants.
@@cashtows ah ok. That makes more sense. How much % do y'all upcharge for night time service? Like if I charge $60 day time, can I get away with $85-95 at night?
I’ll tack on another $50-$100, sometimes more. Depends on many variables like how late into the night it is, the weather, how comfy I am in bed, etc…..haha
Very explained! I really enjoyed it.

If you have a fuel leak what type of tow truck should be used, the garage is about 4 miles away. I live on a narrow dead end road so I’m concern how they are going to loaded the vehicle since the Blazer is facing forward and there is no way to get in front of it? Can they put it on the flat bed facing backwards, or doesn’t it matter? Never had anything towed before so I’m concern.
If it’s leaking fluids, flatbed is the way to go as it’s easier to contain. They should be able to load backwards, making sure nothing will be damaged by pulling backwards. Sounds like it will be a slow transport, not getting on any highways. Should be an easy hook but every situation is different.
do you know when itll be in stock again? willing to buy as soon as i can
BACK IN STOCK! I’ve discontinued the Glassman as I’ve had many people say they just use the air bag or they don’t like using it. So I dropped it…..along with the price!
I have started running the ads this week. Got lots of calls, they take the quote and never calls back. I was quoting just 55 a hook up and 4.5 per loaded mile. Market is Georgia. Also what's your average closing rate?
I’ve never ran an audit of my closing rate but a conservative number I would say would be 60-70%. And that number only includes the calls where I gave them a quote. It does not include callers who are looking for their impounded car or have the wrong number. I don’t believe your rates are high enough for Google Ads to be profitable for you but then again I don’t no the characteristics of the area you are targeting. If I were you, I would find out what your competition is charging. I would take the low number and the high number and be somewhere in the middle to high range of those two numbers. You also have to conside your operating expenses as well. I can’t give you solid advice without more details about your business. Reach out to me at cashtows.com
Thanks! I will reach out. One more thing I needed to know... do I need to set my bid to 6/7 dollars so I can make sure my ad shows up at the very top? Does that make any difference? Currently I am bidding 3 dollars. @@cashtows

WHAT. $100.00 just to deliver gas to a person who is stranded on the freeway
Yes, $100 is probably on the low end for that kind of call. For anyone that might think that is expensive, please consider the following…. Constant variables for this common, specific situation: Let’s say the job takes 1 hour to complete, from the time one of my guys (let’s name him Tom) leaves his location to the time he gets back. My roadside assistance guys typically carry a 3 gallon gas can. We will say that the call came in on a random Tuesday, summer afternoon. Tom advertises on Google to generate call volume within a 15 mile radius of his home. His truck gets 15mpg. Without advertising, Tom will not receive very many jobs. The stranded motorist is on the freeway and they Googled “fuel delivery near me”. They then clicked on the first ad that appealed to them. In this case, it was Tom. Tom answered and gave a quote of $100. The motorist accepted, Tom took payment via CC, then left. Tom got to the motorists location, put 3 gallons in their tank, went to the gas station to fill the can back up, then returned home. How much money did Tom make? Toms Costs: Fuel in gas tank: $11 Ad spend: $10 Fuel to reach motorist, gas station, and then home: $10 CC Fee: $4 It appears Tom made around $65. $65/hr for an emergency service!? That’s too much, right? But what about insurance, maintenance/repairs, bookkeeping/accounting, taxes, and what if Tom decided to hire another driver? Tom still needs to live too….we all know the cost of living has gone through the roof these last 3+ years. That $65/hr isn’t so sweet now is it? And let’s not forget that this is an emergency service. The motorist in this situation is stranded on the freeway where many other motorists are texting and driving and not paying attention. A tow truck driver is hit and killed every six days. Is that $100 really worth the risk because a motorist didn’t plan accordingly? How much money is Tom REALLY making on that $100 job?
I do heavy road service, on site equipment service, ect. If I get a call for an out of fuel on a car, truck, bulldozer, ect it's a 2 hour minimum and $2 per mile round trip, plus fuel with a 30% markup on the fuel. Running out of gas could cost someone who's relatively close to my base $350-400.
Great video, thanks
I'm from pakistan an i'm learning from your videos. Thank you dave
Great video thanks
Best video I’ve seen so far. Thanks for sharing some knowledge with us. I’ll be filling out a form also because I need help. There’s definitely something that I’m doing wrong.
What's your conversion rate with this setup?
New campaigns run about 15%. Once I get the campaign optimized, usually 30-90 days, I typically see conversion rates between 30-60%.
when are u restocking the kit?
I'm not sure if I will. Only 9 kits were sold over the last year. In order to give you guys the discount, I have to buy in bulk which requires storage and upfront costs. It's tough to hang on to that inventory that long. Plus, I don't get my money back until I make a sale. I don't make anything off of these kits. I created this kit thinking an all-in-one kit is what the people want. I was wrong. haha. Send me a message at cashtows.com and we might be able to work something out.
And....thats just small light duty tow for personal autos huh? Any idea on large heavy commercial tows and recovery?
You can make a copy of the spreadsheet and customize it however you'd like.
Thanks for the video. Really gave me a lot of information
Glad it was helpful!
If you had 100k to start a tow company, how would you do it?
If I had 100k and was determined to start a new towing company, I would probably buy 2 used trucks. Both with a 6.7 Cummins. One wrecker, one flatbed. Then, the rest of the money I would spend on obtaining a secured lot and training 1-2 drivers. I would focus on obtaining police contracts, junk car buying, and PPI. I personally would not do any repossession. My trucks would stay parked before I even think about turning a key for any type of motor club/insurance contract. I would run Google Ads 24hours. This is in a nutshell of course....
Hi appreciate it. Can you please guide me how I can charge for a secondary tow. How much extra charges I need to charge a company for taking out a vehicle from a storage and then towing it.? Help and guidance will be appreciated.
That is something you would have to work out for yourself. Secondary tows usually require the tow op to pay cash out of their pocket to get the vehicle released. I'm not a bank. I typically charge 10% or $100. Whichever is greater.
What is the wedsite or your RUclips channel

I noticed the SUV in this video had some tow hooks installed but were not used. Is is better to use the tow points on the frame instead?
I wouldn’t recommend using those hooks. Always grab the frame if you can. Trucks and SUVs shouldn’t have an issue finding hook points on the frame.
how can i hire you? los angles area

Happy to help! Welcome
Thank you for making these videos, I just started towing business and really appreciate all you advice and stuff you have learned
Thanks for watching. It’s the only reason I make them. I truly appreciate your support!
on the cash tows ppc there are more ad words then you have on the explanation video. Should all of them be included or just section A?
Hey, thanks for watching. I apologize for the confusion. I've updated the PPC Cheat Sheet since this video was made. I intended for each heading in the blue row to be thought of as an ad group. Then the keywords below should be added to its ad group, I set match types for you already. I use keyword match type tools to set match types quickly. You can google it. There's a list of free ones. You can break your ad groups down even more granularly than this. I'm finding that the amount of keywords you use per ad group depends on the area you serve. It seems to me that the smaller the area, the less you have to worry about how many keywords you have per group. Hope this helps, thanks for watching!
Hey man I love your videos, wouldn't all this information be available on chatgbt 4? I was just wondering If you are considered this..
I have. OpenAI, to my knowledge, does not have the capabilities to access websites beyond the root URL nor can it access any database. I would think that for any AI to be able to give you the information The Towjo provides, it would need to have some sort of API connected to a dealer or manufacturer's database to maintain accuracy. Even if AI could crawl the Towjo for data, the Towjo would need to grow into an authority or somehow verify that its information is correct for it to be a credible source. I may be using the wrong prompts in GPT. I'm no expert on GPT and have not looked into everything it offers. It's expanding so quickly, it's difficult for me to keep up, haha. If you know of prompts that output the desired info, please reach out. I'd like to look into it further. I always thought the Towjo was a cool idea. I don't have time to add to the database unfortunately but would like to get it completed one day. Thanks for watching!
Would you recommend starting out on maximize clicks? Or maximize conversions? If it’s clicks, do you eventually switch over to conversions? Been trying to learn google ads lately and that’s a question I can’t answer
Ah yes, the bid strategy. This can be somewhat difficult to decide because of a few different things. Also, Google changes things all the time, feels like weekly sometimes, so some of the info in this video might be a bit outdated. I am working on a Google Ads course for towing and roadside and things will be updated in that video. First, to answer your question, I always start out with Max Clicks and run it for a MINIMUM of 30 days if I decide to switch to Max Conv. This is a bit controversial. Some say switch once you get about 15 conversions, some say 30 days. This will depend on your volume. With a new campaign, especially a new account, you don't have any data so Google doesn't know what you consider a conversion. Is it a page view, button click, form submission, or a phone call? If you run Max Conversions right away, you're most likely going to burn through a lot more money or not see very many impressions at all initially compared to Max Clicks, at least that's from my experience. The decision to switch to Max Conversions, IMO, is based on a few different variables. Volume, budget, and click fraud. If you're getting poor results and have a budget that allows a lot of volume, you might want to try Max Conversions and test it out. If you're seeing a lot of click fraud, Max Conversions could possibly help. The thing with Google Ads is there's no hard line, no exact rules that one must follow in order to see the best results. There are so many variables that will determine the performance of your campaigns that it's impossible to know if you're going to be successful or not. Location, ad schedule, ad/landing page copy, budget, bids, negative keywords, and the list goes on. There is a lot of testing involved. With that being said, the way I run my ads might not be the same as the next guy. But, the difference between me and the other guy is that I'm actually behind the wheel of the tow truck. I'm the one answering the phones. I've experienced most of the pain points my clients are having. I've been there, done that, got the T-shirt. What I teach is not only from what I've been taught but also from what I've experienced over the last nearly 10 years doing this. I hope this helps and if you need more, lmk and I'll do my best to.
Didn’t think you would reply man haha. Thanks! Yeah!!! Same here. Lemme know about the course cause I’m also driving a tow. I’d definitely be interested in learning g ads for this specifically. In the meanwhile I’ll give it a shot with what you showed and let you know how it goes
How’s it going??
