    Hi, I have a question regarding the removal of items from a player's inventory. I am creating a map in which I want to create a mechanism where, when it starts raining, it removes 50% of all equipment. So let's say I have 8 apples and 4 sticks, I want it to remove these 4 apples and 2 sticks. Do you know how to do this?

      Hello. :) Sounds a bit tricky. You could count the number of apples using clear 0 and save that to a scoreboard, then divide that scoreboard by 2 and give that many number of apples back, but that would move all the items around, and you would need to do it for every item type in the game, which seems crazy. :) A better way would probably be to loop over every inventory slot using a macro, save the item id to storage and the item count to a score. Then divide the score by 2 and using another macro put the item back with the new count. I don't know how Minecraft deals with a score of 1 being divided by 2, is the result 0 or 1, although I suppose you could add a line like if score = 0 then set it to 1 if you wanted?

    Idea for a future data pack now that Christmas is coming. Create a loot table so that when mining any type of ore, or fishing, for example, you have a x% chance of getting a normal gift, a rare gift, or an epic gift (which are player heads with gift textures), with different names, lore and texture to differentiate them, and that when clicking on any of the gifts, it gives you something random (previously defined in another loot table with several gifts, and depending on which gift you open, the loot is better or worse).

      Yes, for that you would need a Resource Pack as well to store the texture.     I'm trying to get the mace to activate the windburst enchantment when you right click (edible item) For now I did it but only that I summon a wind charge at your feet and so it lifts you up, But I prefer to use the enchantment

      ​@@InfernalDevice Oh hello, I didn't use enchantment because I don't know how to use it, what I used was a video of yours in which you teach how to use advancements using edible items, so Use that to make it so that when you right click it summons a wind charge and makes you fly a little and then hit with the mace y le añadi un pequeño cooldown de 2s,But I think with an enchantment it would be cleaner.

    Hey, do you know how to make a pickaxe break a specific block, like a really specific one? For example, there are several iron ores in an area, but only one of them should be breakable. I'm on version 1.20.1 if that helps. I'm also open to using mods if needed.

      Hello. :) Using only commands I think the easiest way would probably to make an interaction entity that is a tiny bit bigger than the block you want to protect and put it over the block, that way the interaction entity would intercept the player click and stop them from actually hitting the block.       Wow, you responded quickly! I actually came up with an idea for how to do what I wanted, and I'll test it out later. My main goal in my map was to use Custom NPCs and have a script on one of them, making it take more damage from a pickaxe and less from other tools. But since I don't know much about scripting, I decided to use commands instead, which I'm more familiar with. Still, thank you! (If you know how to work with it and have any ideas on how to do this, I'd appreciate it.) The idea I had to solve this is that my map already has a lot of iron ore, but I wanted to make a mining quest without players breaking the scenery. So I thought about using iron ore below layer 0, from 1.17, you know? Because my map only has surface iron ore and not the deep slate version, so I think this way it might work.

      @@dalo1227 A custom enchantment on the weapon might be able to help. It could run a function as the entity you attack and if that entity has a certain tag then apply some extra damage to it. The next datapack tutorial is about a sword that runs a function, which is good timing if this approach works. :) I am just about to start work so won't be able to reply for the rest of the day, but let me know how you get on, and if you have any questions. :) For more complicated things, the Discord is easier to share pictures, code and links.

    Thank you very much for your video. I had a bug while trying to apply this tutorial. The 4th block is "playsound ...", and the 5th block is "add enter_area_a", they're both conditional. if the playsound doesn't not work for x reasons, the next block supposed to add the area tag does not launch because it is depending on the last block success, and it infinity loops until it succeed to play the sound! Also, I do not know why, the sound is getting out of my command block, not my player. Great tutorial anyway, learned a lot without opening a documentation!

      You're welcome, thank you. :) Ah, those are good points. You could try and swap those two lines so the tag command comes first. For the playsound it looks like I missed the "at @s" in the command, try the following: CCA: execute as @a[tag=target] run tag @s add enter_area_a CCA: execute at @a[tag=target] run playsound minecraft:music_disc.creator master @s ~ ~ ~ 1 1 0 I am running out the door to work, so I haven't tested this yet. :D

    Thanks for continuing to make tutorials these are so helpful! Would you consider doing a tutorial on making items appear on the ground in adventure maps that you can pick up? Like I assume using armor stands? (Like a piece of paper on the ground you can pick up or an axe stuck in a wall you can take) Edit: wait I looked and it looks like you've already done this, thanks!

    Yo! This is very similar to what my SMP did to start this current season. But we did custom challenges and just expanded the border manually every 2 weeks. This would’ve been better! I’m pitching this as an idea for next season! Thanks, as always, for the amazing tutorial!

      Yes, this won't work in 1.18.1 :( Scale and Gravity were not in that version, they were added in 1.20.5

      Sorry, this won't work in 1.18.1 The item_display and interaction entities were not added until 1.19.4

    First of, thank you. Ima give that playlist a damn watch like holy. Second of, I was wondering. Do you know, as someone who is more knowledgable about commandblocks and such, if there is an easier way to spawn in certain structures and also replace them with the previous terrain present? I am trying to pull something off on a server with friends, the problem is I dont want them to know and I want them to feel like something weird is actually happening. Kinda like an ARG so to speak. I did something similar already on my own which worked well but I needed to pretty much copy every bit of terrain and then align it all as well which took a super long time to set up. Days in fact cause I got it wrong so many times :o

      Hello, thank you. :) I don't know of a way to reset an area back to it's naturally generated state, but you could probably use structure blocks to save the area before you build anything, then build your structure and save it again with a different name. Then you can load in the saved area without the structure, or the saved area with the structure. If you are only using command blocks then this tutorial may help: ruclips.net/video/cGH_7IupTc4/видео.html If you are using a datapack then you could try this tutorial instead: ruclips.net/video/apV7JNwdz4Y/видео.html Is that the sort of thing you need? Hopefully those will help you a bit. :)

      @@InfernalDevice That is but not in the way you likely thought. Thank you very much. I never thought of prebuilding in a copy of the same world. Well no I did. But not to the extent of just prebuilding it whole in that space and then copying that space. I was making structures with air blocks on their own. Pasted them in via structure blocks and THEN reset the area with structure blocks as well after copying the original space. But never once did I think of just... building in it and then copying that to reset later. ITS SO SIMPLE TOO! I HATE IT xD Thank you ^^

      I had a look at this. I am pretty sure the only thing that won't work in 1.21 is giving the Eggs to place and remove the sword. Everything else should work. Here are the new commands for the eggs. Let me know if it works for you. :) Give Egg - place: give @p slime_spawn_egg[item_name='"Sword: Place"',entity_data={id:"minecraft:marker",Tags:["sword_place"]}] Give Egg - remove: give @p strider_spawn_egg[item_name='"Sword: Remove"',entity_data={id:"minecraft:marker",Tags:["sword_remove", "sword"]}]

    do you think there is a good way to make a bow shoot more than one shot at a time like a crossbow with multishot?

      I have found this before. I haven't had a go at recreating it yet though. www.reddit.com/r/MinecraftCommands/comments/kaolll/triple_shot_bow/ I also haven't looked into the new enchantments, it may be possible to use those to make it in a better way. Edit: I just found this: www.reddit.com/r/Minecraft/comments/1b2erwj/in_24w09a_all_bow_crossbow_enchantments_now/ It seems in one of the snapshots they made it so bows can use the multishot enchantment anyway. :)
