Weatherproof Byute Flashing Tape - There you go. I've fixed it for you. Give the lead a good brush off (wipe with IPA if you're being fancy). Put the tape in the freezer for 15mins (makes it easy to peel off). Lasts for years.

How does the water get in there in the first place. Water never use to enter. From what I see. The water enters when pointing has not been done correctly. My home was built in the 60s. Brought my home 2004 and never ever had issues with my roof until it was cleaned with bleach and they also pointed down the valleys three years ago. It is full of mold now 😡. I am kind of irritated with myself because I allowed them to repoint my valleys when they did not need doing, thus it may have created entrance for water. Praying that has not happened. I

Ahhhh, i just confirmed the clip issue myself. Ive no sarking , actually thought that was the main issue . Bottom line i know the roof has to come off. One guy,s comment here was how about taking the clips off. Whats your opinion on this ? Is it an ok quick fix until a new roof or is it likely to see my tiles flying away. Just after an opinion, what ever i do its my issue. Thanks in advance

Mate you are 100% correct in everything you have said , i have been doing roofs for 25yr now and the cleaning side i think is by far the most important i still use a wand for the entire roof thats just my preference and the noses are the most important parts of the tile to clean great video anyway kudos 👍

Probably should use ladder standoff or at least lean the ladder on the gutter guard, so not to bend the gutter. Just an idea 🤷‍♂️

From 0:35 onwards you're showing how the scribing should be done but there isn't a screw on every second rib as per the code. Pot. Kettle. Black.

I had a leak in my kitchen extension a year or two ago when the guttering from a previous owner twisted under the weight of a downpour and emptied onto my roof, it then found the hole in the ceiling for the light bulb and was leaking there!. I fixed the guttering, a bracket hadn't been screwed onto the facia board! Fast forward to now. We're having a thunder storm with pretty heavy rain (for the UK), I was making a cup of coffee in the kitchen and suddenly, drip drip on my shoulder. The water is coming in again through the hole in the ceiling for the light bulb! I have just remembered after watching this, that I have a couple of cracked tiles on the roof. Thanks to a heavy footed window cleaner some years ago. This is most probably where the water is getting in. I have just found a video on replacing single tiles, so I shall try that method before getting a roofer out for a quote.

I do not like the fact you have to puncture holes in the roof to install them. It makes me wonder when there are violent storms they can blow under the panels and loosen the fittings causing the leaks. Do not put any solar panels on your roof.
