I highly recommend checking out Mike Aben, he gives really good tips and tells you the importance of staging and what delta v is. I just started playing this game about a month ago and I’m currently making space stations around the Mun and Minmus. There’s a bit of a learning curve but as a space nerd it’s a hump worth getting over. Plus you’re learning valuable new information about rocket science!!

have rocket get thinner as it gets taller, dont be carrying massive fuel that your not gona be using straight away, a tip i use is just go straight up until the solids are depleted, easy to detach them this way, also the poodle is terrible is atmos but amazing in space

You will get there soon, be steady with inputs. Less input the better. You need to be around 2300m/s for orbit and these rockets have enough. Don't thust too much on the atmosphere or you'll blow up again. Save some dv for when your ap is over 70,000m and then burn prograde 5km before the ap and this will put your pa above the atmosphere. Keep trying rocketman.

Try setting your rear landing gear at a lower height so that the plane already sorta points up when it is on the ground. You can also set it further forward, closer to the middle of the plane.
