Cosco Easy Elite 3 in 1
Просмотров 2,8 тыс.5 месяцев назад
The Cosco Easy Elite is a 3 in 1 that rear faces, forward faces and becomes a high back booster. This seat is short lived in all modes due to a small headrest, lot top harness slots and a lower booster max. It also doesn’t get a great newborn fit. But it is lighter weight and inexpensive.

I split the Britax one4life install videos into three parts so you can find exactly what you need. Britax makes install straight forward with their Clicktight panel. They do recommend installing with a seatbelt over lower anchors. And lower anchors have a very low 30 lbs m...

Thanks sister take your flowers 💐 best explainer video than the company video .
Can I install with just a seatbelt.
This was super informative, thank you. I just bought this seat(well my husband picked it up at the store for me), and I wasn’t so sure about it.. what is the most affordable all in one that you would recommend? I have the Graco extend to fit for my 4 year old, and I really like it and believe it will get her all the way through needing a seat. I was just hoping to spend a little less this time.
I’m glad it was helpful! I would look at a graco triride or graco triogrow snuglock. They are often on sale for under $150 even down to $100 this time of year. They will rear face to the same height as the extend2fit (49 inches) or to 40 lbs. you could also look at passing down the extend to fit and buying a combination seat like a graco tranzisions or graco nautilus for the older one.
Do you strap the latches and strap the seat belt or one of the other. I notices you unlatched the strap then strapped the seat belt? Please advice.
You use the lower anchors OR the seat belt. Never both. Graco does not allow for use of both at the same time
Question is, how do you detach the car seat itself from the base itself
There is a handle/lever behind the babies head that you have to push and then pull straight up by the carry handle.
Very helpful, thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
Should have done different videos for forward and rear-facing. Too long.
This was one of the first I did. I do separate them with later seats I’ve filmed. Live and learn 😊
Thank you😊
You’re welcome!
I've done both installations and the base still wiggles way more than an inch and I can't figure out why
Where are you checking for movement? Only check at the belt path. Are you using the lock off for the seatbelt? Also you want the lap belt to be tight. Then slide the shoulder belt through the lock off on the side opposite the buckle.
@Tinypassengersafety first time parent. I was checking movement by grabbing at the bottom. That's incorrect? Thanks for the reply
Thank you
You're welcome
Well done! You did an excellent job of explaining everything necessary to install this correctly.
Thank you! I’m glad it was helpful.
Thank you this is awesome. I'm worreid though that the seat moves around.
You only check for movement at the belt path. If it moves more than one inch side to side or front to back at the belt path it’s not tight enough. If not then it’s safe!
Thank you ma’am 🙏🏾
You’re welcome
My daughter will be 2 in January, even though it’s the close to the end of November, can I face her the front she now fights with me when I put her in car seat , I guess she tired of looking backwards
It is not safe to forward face under 2. She has one year old bones. We want to rear face as long as possible. Can you give her a busy book or a lovey she can play with for the ride?
@ I have done all that, even gave tablet and phone . She will be 23 months the end of December
Thanks
You’re welcome!
The tether can only be used for forward facing and booster, correct? You can use any recline # for forward/rear facing with the exception of B?
Yes the tether is for forward facing. I’ll have to check the manual to see if it allows for use with the tether in booster mode. You don’t use it rear facing. And you can use any recline except B in forward facing mode as long as the recline indicator shows it in the correct range
Found this seat for $4 at a thrift store!
I hope the tags were still attached! Make sure it’s in date. It’s hard to tell if car seats fr thrift stores are safe since you don’t know the history or wash routine of the previous owner
Lame that they didn’t include the anchors.
It is a disappointment but it’s what makes it lighter and cheaper.
Very good video
Thank you!
Still struggling on how to take the button thing off
Hi- I’m not home to go mess with the canopy on my seat but there should be a way to detach it where it meets the shell of the seat. I’ll look when I’m home.
How to remove the canopy?
Did you figure it out
There are tabs near where the canopy meets the car seat that you push while you pull the canopy off.
Thank you
You're welcome!
Thanks, I got mine second hand.
I'm glad it helped!
Thank you for this video. The instruction manual i received mentioned that i need to install another lap belt 😮 This proves them wrong. And i can use 2 seats for both my kids. Thanks again ❤
This seat cannot be used with lap belt only. It needs shoulder and lab belt. I’m curious as to what the manual said. I’m glad the video helped you.
Soo if you had to do a seatbelt install and cannot do latch you have to find a different seat and if so, what can you use bc there isn’t a way where you can use a seatbelt to install the seat and have the kid use a seatbelt? My daughter is 7 and in 2nd grade and is finally 40 lbs and is embarrassed by being in a 3 point car seat
At 7 and 40 lbs she can use the seat as a booster. This seat does become a highback booster. You can use the lower anchors and tether but you need to store the harness and remove the crotch buckle. Then she uses the seatbelt. If you don’t use the lower anchors and tether then she has to buckle the seat in every time she gets out so it doesn’t become a projectile when she’s not in it.
Thank you SO much, you explained everything completely and much better than Graco videos
Glad it was helpful!
I still dont get how u level it
The level on the side of the infant carrier has to be level when clicked into the base if baby is under 22 lbs. once baby is over 22 lbs the line on the side of the car seat needs to be level with the ground. There is no level on the base which is a huge pain. You have to click the car seat in after installing to see if it’s level.
Is this better than safety first brand?
Graco is usually longer lasting and more true to limits than safety first seats. They are also easier/more straightforward to install. But they all pass the same tests so all seats are safe if used correctly
Do u have a video showing how to put away the top tethers and lower anchors ? Mine are just hanging i dk how to out them away
I can make one. The top tether clips on the side of the seat near the top and the lower anchors clip on the sides.
I can’t believe more people didn’t need to watch your videos! Your video is so helpful
I’m so glad it helped you!
Thank you
You’re welcome!
Can I have my 11 month old on 6 recline even if it’s on the baby blue?
Yes! Baby blue is for 0 months until the end of rear facing. Dark blue can it be used until 3 months.
wow thank you so much for this video! it helped a lot your visuals. i just got this for my daughters second bday and after reading the manual's was still struggling with the install. very helpful and very informative!!!
Glad I could help!
Thank you for doing this video, so helpful, informative and really well done. I have spent hours trying to find the seatbelt info in detail for my husband to install.
I’m glad it helped!
Will graco ship the belt positioning clip for free?
It’ll probably be $5 or $10.
Thanks it’s really helpful ❤
Glad it helped! You’re welcome.
$187 on sale at target this week. 9/2024.
Great deal
So my issue is even when I prop it up with a towel, it still doesn’t get tight until the bottom is touching the seat near the anchors!
Where are you checking for movement? You only test at the belt path with the strength of a handshake. That being said it can be hard to tighten. This seat is difficult. I would find a local CPST to help you get it tight enough. If you haven’t tried seatbelt try that instead of the anchors as well
Thank you, short sweet and simple explanation.
You’re welcome! Glad it was helpful!
Thank you , your explanation and break down was 100% better than the company’s installation demo
You're welcome! I’m glad it helped!
The camera doesn't move. I can't see what you're trying to show us below your chest. 👎
I’m sorry. I’m doing it alone so I’m doing the best I can.
My truck doesn’t have the metal anchors in the seat. I didnt discover that until we were installing our baby’s infant car seat. It works just fine with the seatbelt, though. Does this one still give the option to use the seatbelt for install instead of the latches?! I’ve been looking at upgrading her seat soon and that is the only downside with some seats I’ve come across.
Yes. All car seats install with the seatbelt. Lower anchors became standard/required around 2003. But all carseats install with the seatbelt and lower anchors have a weight limit so all car seats aside from infant seats will at some point need to be installed using the seatbelt. The bigger concern is whether or not the truck has a top tether. Those were standard/required in 2001. You will not need it for rear facing in this seat but you will for forward facing once baby hits a max (height, weight or one inch above the head - Cosco requires you to max a rear facing limit before turning your child)
Thank You so much!!!
You're welcome!
Nicely done
Thanks!
Do you need to use the base, or can you just instill it without the base and it still be able to use it?
No the base is not required. You can always do a baseless install. Baseless is the only way it can be installed on an airplane as well. I do it at the end of my install video for this seat. But the information is also in the manual and on the side of the carrier itself.
Thanks for this! Is it better to use the Lower anchors or the seat belt?
When the child is under the lower anchor limit (45 lbs forward facing, no limit rear facing) either is equally safe if you can get a good install. If one is easier for you to get a good install use that. Once kiddo reaches the lower anchor limit you must discontinue use of the lower anchors.
Here is the translated text: --- **Brix One4Life Safety Seat** After many recommendations, we purchased two seats. Today, during the first use, we unfortunately noticed that the straps are too short (for 3-month-old babies). The only way I understand to extend the straps is by raising the backrest (the headrest/support), to a level that is not suitable at all for infants, making the headrest too high-however, this does extend the length of the straps. Do you know how to extend the straps without raising the backrest (the head support)? A picture of the seat is attached. ***Of course, we’ve already loosened the straps as much as possible using the button below the padding.
At the front of the seat there is a strap hanging down (where babies feet for when in the car) At the top of the strap where it meets the car seat is a lever. You push that lever down and pull out the straps with your other hand at the same time. To tighten you pull that strap. Make sure the head rest is low enough for the straps to fall below the child’s shoulders for rear facing.
I'm discouraged
I’m sorry. Is there anything specific I can help with? This isn’t my favorite seat but it’s workable if you already own it. If you don’t I would look at a century carry on lx or evenflo nurture max
Thankyouuu!!!!!
