The communication and social media team at MBJ must be more active online and throughout social media. They're doing great things but in general the public have no idea. From airport improvements/masterplans/ development/ community involvement/ educational opportunities....As an org they need to constantly update so the people of Jamaica can stand behind MBJ and are aware of the work their doing. Anytime I visit Jamaica, the people are always saying how the government sell off the airport and that airport is not for them. It's time to take control and change that narrative. You have the tools and people...USE THEM‼️ The people of Jamaica must be abreast with all the work MBJ is doing.
A world class advertisement for a good terminal. The god ugly , glitzy tourist shop at the decision point to go left or right or 1-7 and 8-up, with their plastic smiles and having no qualms about selling you two cartons of cigarettes which exceed th e duty-freee allowance of your home country awaits. And do not forget the 14 dollars for an $8 hamburger from Wendy's which signifies how well to do the airport authority is from their fees.
Arriving passengers are not without their memories, where the first restroom after deplaning is an accident adventure for old people. A far cry from the old days of a mobile trailer on the runway, the user fees will continue to add concrete necessary to handle the passengers who consider Jamaica a 2nd home. My only complaint, besides paragraph one, is that lost-and-found won't hold an item for more than 90 days, even if you call them. Everything else is acceptable. The $1 a big for the 100 foot portage keeps many porters employed
Don't know where the $ is coming from for rerouting autos arriving at MBJ (aka "departures gates"), but it is a solution to what was not a problem. Driven since opening, 2/24, it is dumb and unnecessary. On paper, it seems like a good fix. Fixing the overcrowding of taxis and cars for "arriving passengers" into Jamaica (pick up) may be helped but early observation is it was not. The buses have always been behind the fence
I will not accept Sangster's as the leading Airport in the Caribbean until the upgrade arrivals!!! it's dilapidated and atrocious.

Quick editing suggestion. Once you're done editing, MUTE the video. If you can't get a sense of what the video is about with the visuals only and the narration muted, you've done a horrible job. A+ for narration on this video....visual wise....it makes no sense. This is the best way you could have showcased MBJ and future plans?

A very upbeat video. The Mexican & Canadian firms running the airport for the last 18 years have been happy to spend the fees shown on your ticket making improvements. The glitz of the departure area duty-free is a bit sickening, and arriving passengers would best take a pee while on the aeroplane before hiking to the immigration area where new experiences in waiting in queues await.
Current 4/2023 complaints of hours of waiting will probably be adddressed, but staffing is hard pressed at peak inbound times. The cost of a hamburger for outgoing passengers does not actually require a 2nd mortage on your house.
