This channel is about building a modded Boss 302 NA using aftermarket and Ford Racing parts. Overall seeing how a modded Boss 302 can compare to Gen ll and Gen lll Coyote Mustangs. There will be real world applications and some product reviews. This channel will take you to events, southwest Michigan’s car culture, possibly some networking and overall just plain fun stuff. Let’s see where this build will take us?
We’ll have some random repairs other vehicles. There is a family owned 68 Dodge Super Bee will pop up on occasion #projectbee54.

The problem is that Mustang dyne calibration can output eschewed results. Something as simple as effective dyno weigh change (not vehicle weight) can change result hugely on a Mustang dyno. I've seen the same car spit out 360 rwhp then 500 rwhp with no changes just by changing that figure. This is how Mustang dyno operators arrive at the "Dynojet correction" and they usually overshoot it big time. I'd strongly suggest finding a Dynojet if you want repeatable day-to-day results.

Calimer told me the exact same thing until I sent him the trans back due to a profound knocking. He finally said that’s not normal. They found a bad 3rd and 4th gear wear pattern which started with a bad machining. He would not warranty the trans. I sold it back to him for parts and already had a Tremec installed . Needed nothing including shifter, best mod I ever done.
you should get the shelby gt500 short throw shifter its 500 dollars do it bro it will change ur life magnetic lockers will help u so much if u worry about miss shifts
Thanks for all the information, however the noise and deep vibrations were all along from the bad gear pattern. This was a result of bad machining. The trans was bad from day one and even though I shared we Calimer they kept saying it’s normal. I have changed to a Tremec and it’s been great!
by the way what u hear is normal dont worry about it at all but its up to u if u never wanna change the trans fluid or change it every 30k miles but then u gotta do it every 30k miles its up to u if u belive in that theory i never chagged it bc it has a transfercase and typically u never have to change it unlesss u gotta get in there
i know it sucked to drive the break in miles i was so scared that i had the shop break it in for me so for 2 weeks my car was gone
i have a stage 1 rebuild and yea i know its not as good as this but it was rated for 750hp and im making 550 whp so i was very happy for my 13 gt upgrade and i know this man is too

No , no noise. Check your fluid, it’s critical you do the recommended break-in before getting into it. Have your warranty submitted. Follow up with the dealer as well. You shouldn’t have any noise with your transmission.
This is old video. But if you want Ngauge to stay on while car is running, In setup chose to turn on Use the alternator setting which keeps Ngauge on

I just installed the McLeod RST with only 300ish break in miles. Mine doesn't sound like that at all. Probably your pilot bearing. If you recently changed out your clutch did you reuse the stock pilot bearing?? Ford Racing has the high load pilot bearing that I installed in mine.
I had the pilot bearing and replaced it with the bushing that came with the clutch. I was suspecting the same as well. The up side can be changed without removing the clutch.
Did you use a McLeod slave cylinder or the OE ford one?

It’s quite up front checked with the stethoscope. Noise was coming from the bell housing.

What you are hearing is a very common sound. There’s 4 cams , 32 valves, 32 roller lifters, 32 lashers, 4 chains. These cars make a little noise when idling. The video actually picks up different tones so in person the car sounds much different in person.

I have the 2.97 with 3.73, 28 in drag radial in my 2011. Fun street car. Sometimes I regret going with 3.73. Car makes about 850whp, VMP, hooking second is impossible. Third gear hooks pretty good though.
Just put on GT500 mufflers, good flow but good to quiet down catless headers.
I used to have GT500 before I changed to the MBRPs. Did a good video on both mufflers. They are great sounding mufflers.
So on my Laguna are the stock mufflers Walkers? What about Corsa axle backs on my Laguna as a replacement? Your input would be greatly appreciated. I have no engine modifications at all but looking to do little things like adding that oil catch can around the PCV valve.
You are pretty safe to go with any muffler tbh. I don’t know if walker was the manufacturer for Fords Mustangs. As for what muffler should you choose it just depends on what sound you are going after. American Muscle has a ton of sound clips you can hear. My personal favorites are Roush, Ford GT500, MBRP. Check out Dynomax too.

Shouldn't the traction control and advancetrak be turned off when testing speeds?
I don’t honestly remember how the car was set up in this video. To this day I will keep traction control on and have never disabled the advanced trak. The car tracks straight and has never been an issue when testing. I still can spin the tires with TC on but not nearly as bad with TC off.

Exhaust cools and contracts as it gets to the rear of the system and with the side pipes purging exhaust at the front you might be able to have your cake and eat it too....meaning minimal power loss.....we will see, right?

LOL, I don’t think Motorcraft is going to hurt you, I’ve been using it since I owned the car. Just make the switch on next oil change. I hear the engine runs quieter too.
@@CoyoteProductionsBoss302 Yeah I don't have anything against Amsoil, I went to a few local stores nobody had anything in 5W-50 and my buddy runs it in his car so I just ordered some from Amazon. Car sounds good still, that is one thing I remember when I put headers on my last one. My exhaust sounded exactly like what I wanted but then I put headers and it did get kind of overbearing at times I ended up changing the mufflers and adding resonators just to tone it back down a bit
I use 5w 50 from the manufacturer Fuchs lubritech. A German oil and I add ceratec.
