I found my twin omg lol 😂 I do the same right down to the TV haha but I did have to get one for my son as we sometimes like to game together ! I do all these things 😂😂😂😂🙌 nk interest in latest phone /TV or fast fashion as 1) I am small and find hard fit into things 2) fashion changes so much honestly I’d be broke .i find it wasteful and easier stick to basic clean simple Items everyday and for work too !

in 8 yrs i was able to work for and save 260k. 138,500 of that went to pay off my 1/1 story townhome, the other portion is invested in the stock market, and now my basic living expenses are $500, and any additional income is used to invest and spend on things i enjoy. I also have the freedom to choose to work, not work, or work reduced hours. I'm surrounded by overconsumption but never found much joy in purchasing those things, in the long run. It was temporary fleeting joy that went away and left me in debt. I have zero debt and couldn't be happier.

This is a beautiful take. Capitalism and consumerism has led us to equate happiness with material things. This video addresses the underlying problem behind consumerism.

Ads... I dislike them so damn much... Wherever you go, there they are. I do not watch TV because most of the programs are crap and because it takes you 1 h to watch a 20-minute show because of the ads. YT has incredibly long ones before and during the video. IG has 2 or 3 after every 3 pictures you see from people you follow. I have ad-blockers that help with YT's ads. Only use IG on Safari to make the experience so annoying that I barely go online. Now instead of posters they have screens everywhere that are so incredibly big and bright that they hurt my eyes. Even the paid Spotify subscription has ads in the podcasts I listen to. The only way to escape them is in nature, reading books, journalling, being with friends.
