Quick question! Why were his ears wrapped?

Did you have to show any paperwork to prove he is a service animal or are they not allowed to ask?

I got INCREDIBLY lucky with my search for a SDIT granted I also was searching around for awhile. The dog I had prior to my SDIT she was almost 18 yr old chiahuaha whom was fully retired I was telling her about what I was looking for and I wasn’t planning to get a dog for awhile since she was a full time care pup and I didn’t want her to feel like I was replacing her. (I think about her a lot still) about two or three months after she passed I just started to look around and see what there was I was looking into getting a Vizla but originally I planned to get a shelter dog that’s what I had told my old lady I wanted to do. Several months of searching went to adoption events called up some breeders and just a lot of searching but no way to really “temperament test” like I wanted to things fell into place and I called up one of the fosters to see if I couldn’t see about one of the litters she had literally ten minutes away from where I live. I head over to meet the four pups. Three girls one boy. I meet them all at once note who came first and last I mess with each one individually. Going through it all for an idea of their personalities. I kept trying to avoid the one that looked like my old lady as I felt like I was going to be biased towards her. I had my mom with me to help observe how I interacted with all of the pups and the one I kept trying to avoid kept being the one that was attentive and apparently had been the first time she ever barked at anybody (she is INCREDIBLY quiet) I amped up my testing with food vs fan a bag full of high value treats next to a fan as I tested them so the smell was open she was the ONLY one to maintain eye contact with me and ignore the treats. The foster was the one who had said she would likely have been the best match for me out of her siblings. (She was also the most popular) ended up putting a deposit down on her that day and brought her home a week later. She can chill on the couch or be up and active which is my kind of lifestyle. She is super smart but damn can she be a crackhead at times if her energy gets too high 🤣 anyways I have a Velcro dog (I specifically wanted a Velcro dog) my family loves her and she is in constant state of training and being “spoiled”

6:53 I try to keep the not too serious part in mind while training so I “let people pet her” not everyone! I am great at saying no to adults I’m still working on kids as yeah… so far I’ve had a majority do the ask and advance before an answer and one just straight up run over but her mom was on top of it! Telling her to stop and ask. But she wasn’t at the age to really grasp it. Anyway back on topic! I don’t let anybody pet her when we first go into stores otherwise she won’t focus but, after we leave if they ask and are still there I’ll let them pet her and I tell them this so she has a “break” and I give her the ok to say hi which is “greet” she loves people and is more than happy to say hi not always to everyone but 98% of the time she is. We don’t do this for all stores either but learning this to me is part of her training and whenever I give her time to just play (I play with her ofc which is a lot of jumping 🤣 we both can look like idiots together) I’m trying to train her in work mode vs off work mode button she’s also figuring out a lot of the stuff we do is pretty “boring” and she’s learning to just lay down and take naps I will say she has NO sense of personal space in the bathroom but it’s better than when we first started when she was TERRIFIED to go inside but I had to go so in we went! (I trained this by having my bathroom door open since it connects to my bedroom so she got use to all the weird noises and smells and I am in there) Now it’s face in the crotch. Like girl I choose the handicap stall for a reason can I have like 6” of space between your nose and my crotch?

6:13 I had one of those two steps forward one step back day all within the same day forward and backwards 🤣 she’s 5 months old now Went in and out of stores for groceries I decided to go for a quick lunch in a pet friendly restaurant I had scoped out while pet sitting before I even got my SDIT. All went well she was at the level of focus I wanted her at walked nicely sat/ laid down beside me as I order moved when I asked her to then we got to the part where we were to be seated. She did NOT want to go where I wanted to finally managed to as I took the inside and she took the outside (I wanted it swapped but honestly I preferred sitting on the inside) so she lays down and I realize I need my water still so she sees me get up usually she has a great down stay we practice at home we practice outside in diffrent places but I guess it was a lot so I relent and let her follow me up to water station annnnd she suddenly stops walking. I turn back and see her crouched and I think OMG she has the runs! (She didn’t) turns out the noise from the soda machine scared her but I still need water I manage to pull her along to get the water we head back to the table and she is fine lays down and ignores all the people. Of all the cars rushing by loud noises and honks (which scare tf out of me!) she gets scared by the soda machine 😭 I’ll accept the vaccum and the loud fluffing of a trash bag those are loud but how do I even train her for a SODA MACHINE?! Looks like exposure therapy is in her future 😭😆😓my rating of the day is as follows Listening skills 4/5 Distractable: 4/5 (this is a good rating) Settle: 5/5 Soda machine 0/5 Overall score 13/20 For five months it’s acceptable

Aren’t you the person who hung dogs by their necks on prongs, strangled dogs on grooming tables, shocked dogs until they screamed, shoved a resource guarding dog in a fabric crate so other dogs could trample over him, abused tons of dogs and their owners, and are literally banned from AKC events with documented video evidence of you doing these things.

Great video!! I bought a Penski 12' box truck in Elmsford N.Y. 27 miles from N.Y.C. I have to go get it. I am taking Amtrak to N.Y.C. out of Jacksonville Florida with my German Shepherd service Dog Archer. I was informed to call Amtrak before so they can reserve a handicap seat. I saw that you went to a REDCAP spot to board. My service Dog is very well trained so I am not worried about his behavior. I am worried about bathroom stops for him. It is a 15 hour, 1000 mile trip. He is trained to hold it, but still I have that worry. I am taking a scooper just incase. Do you have suggestions? I am bringing water, bowl. I hated seeing you sitting on the floor. I am 66 and could do that if I had to. Thank you for recording your trip, it helped me to know it can be done, even as hot as it was for you. David and Archer. 😢
