On August 17th, 2024 the daily BNSF H-DENLAU would have one of only 21 remaining 4900 series C44-9Ws on point. Not only did it have a Dash-9 lead, it also had an Ex-BN SD40-2 duo in tow! On the night of Thursday August 22nd, 2024 the BNSF B-PTLLAC derailed in Boulder, CO at milepost 26.8 along BNSF's Front Range Subdivision. The locomotives on the train were BNSF 758 and BNSF 4272 with 758 being the lead motor. In mid September, I was able to see something quite special. A BN Green SD40-2 leading a mainline trains. Due to some PTC issues with the lead motor, BNSF 1933 would be added to the lead of the XH-LAUDEN9-13A in Casper, WY. Definitely not something you see everyday! In late September/Early October I had the chance to get back out to Durango. This visit I would ride the train along with seeing it trackside. Got to go to some spots i’ve been eating to for some time and am very pleased with how the shots came out! Enjoy! In early July I made another trip out to SoCal with the intent of catching some of the high speed trains there. I was able to catch around 20 trains and got lots of horn too! In this video you will see super fast trains with lots of horn traveling through Carlsbad Village. There is even a few freights! Enjoy!

In this video we see 3 northbound trains at Palmer Lake along the Pikes Peak Sub. The first train had a really cool load being a nuclear waste car as well as a caboose on the back!

Here are some trains that I have caught in various places along the Pikes Peak Subdivision or "Joint Line". In this video you will see heavy coal trains battling the Palmer Divide, mixed freight, and some other miscellaneous trains! This video also features a former ATSF Dash-9 number 676 leading a 90s consist with an H1 and BNSF warbonnet in tow. Enjoy!

Empty coals are back!! Well sort of. The Front Range Subdivision used to see empty coals on a regular basis until roughly 2020 when they stopped due to wait time complaints on the mega coals.
