Switzerland Beautiful Places: Unlocking the Secrets of Switzerland
Great family visit. Everyone has their own wants on a visit and while it is def worth wile to spend time in the countryside, Dublin should not be ignored - great museums, great theaters, great pubs. But a few suggestions for other people. It is NOT always necessary to get a car. Car hire is one of the big rip offs in Ireland. Buses go where trains go and very cheap. And I would NEVER recommend you getting off your flight and driving off on the "wrong side" while still jet lagged. Spend a few days in Dublin, you do NOT need a car and then yeah off to the country. On this trip he could have saved a bunch of money and gained an extra day by flying to Shannon (Limerick) instead of Dublin. Personally now wowed with the product placement but we all do what we gotta do.
Great info thanks for sharing. As far as Coke if you go to my community, you will see a post that explains why Coke is mentioned and why I drank so much. But hey, if Coke wanted to sponser me that be great ha ha. Really though thank you for watching I really do appreciate local advice :)
Great video, now I have some ideas on what and where to visit when I go to Ireland next year. Got to mention the coke! I think you may have a slight addiction to it lol 😅
@@makeoversbytrish glad this was helpful. That’s what I want! I think I may have a Coke obsession lol. Thank you so much for watching !
This is awesome!
Thank you for watching !!
What beautiful views!
@@jenniferfisher1421 thank you!! Appreciate you watching!
Looks like an amazing trip!
@@jenniferfisher1421 thank you so much for watching !
Peat/turf comes from bogs not lakes and the Omagh bombing is infamous not famous. This would be like saying the famous September 11th attack in New York, it glorifies badness. but having said that glad you enjoyed Ireland, keep up the great videos
You make a good point should be infamous. Thank you for your feedback!
Hi heading Ireland in September, your video was very helpful one thing the blue cap your son is wearing looks like a Union Army cap for the Civil War is that the hat he got earlier in the video you mention? I'm looking to get something like that do you have any info on the cap. Thanks Dennis
Hello, first thank you so much for watching! To answer your question Aran Sweater Market in Killarney has them. My favorite city in Ireland. Lots of live music and cool stores. I believe it’s a fisherman’s hat but I agree it looks like a civil war hat. My son loves his it is very nice and well made.
Ok so you do remember. Fine. Love you as well.
I’m sorry not sure what you mean? Did I meet you in Ireland?
If you put dark hedges on a list of places to must see in Ireland immediately you've lost all credibility and I hope people unfollow and trust any opinions or ideas you have.
@@icemand27 a lot of time away from family and other things go into these videos. It’s so time consuming. I do my best to respond to everyone still yet. Sir that is a matter of opinion. I and my mother and son loved it. Thank you for watching. I disagree with you and I hope you have a great Sunday
Iceman,A bit harsh, don’t you think?
Great video. My father was from abbeyknockmoy. I love going back to visit .❤
It was a cool place. Major highlight meeting family from there. Ireland is just amazing I can’t wait to go back. Thank you so much for watching.
Excellent! I LOVED your video... It's awesome when someone shares the good and bad (like when your drome got lost.) Just hope that "blood poeding" hasnt got real blood in it. (Its a biblical sin to consume blood in any way.)
@@tinkiebenadie3770 Thank you so much for watching… I’m going to have to brush up on the scriptures about that! Thank you for bringing that to light. I was thinking that was Old Testament but I’m not sure so thank you :) God is good!
The O'Donoghue of The Glens retreated to Killaha castle in Glenflesk and after losing that still remained prominent and the chief still able to command 500 men into the mid 1800s...the current chief of the glens lives in the midlands now.
Thank you for this information and for watching!
Love this
Thank you so much!!!
A beautiful country full of beautiful people. I take you are sponsored by Coco Cola ;)
I’m not actually. I just really love Coke it goes back to being a kid. My dad used to pay me with a cold glass bottle of Coke in the days for working in his garden each day picking green beans and corn. Now he is gone but each Coke brings back those good memories:)
Pronounced Ball in toy not Balinty
Thank you for the pronunciation. Not being from Ireland I tried to do my best to pronounce the places, correct.
Dublin Castle was started by King John in !190. Not 13th century
The first substantial section of Dublin Castle was built in the early 13th century on the orders of King John, the first Lord of Ireland. The castle was built on the site of a Viking settlement and was used as a military fortress, prison, treasury, and court of law. It served as the headquarters of English and British administration in Ireland for 700 years, from 1204 until Ireland gained independence
You will see my research on Dublin castle in the previous comment
Regarding the sweatpants comment - absolute rubbish. The inly time someone is refused entry would be a nightclub ir high-end restaurants
@@michelleireland1 not true. We were refused at most places. I was there and my son. I didn’t make that up. We were told that druggies wear that kind of attire. We went to 4 places to get food before someone allowed us. There would be no reason for me to claim this statement if it were not true. This was only in Dublin.
I was wondering how true that statement was and especially since my wife and I are scheduled to visit there and do a road trip from Dublin to the central west coast and travel through Northern Ireland back to Dublin Thank you for that If you have any tips and/or suggestions please let me know
@@mondrell77 unfortunately it is true. I was told that many of the people that have drug issues wear sweatpants and so the owners of many restaurants and establishments just in Dublin frown upon serving people in them. We were turned down by three places before we found a place to serve us. Careful the little country roads. You will love it there. The people make it special!
@travelwright I appreciate the response and hopefully our time there will be just memorable as yours Safe and happy future travels my brother
@@travelwright3124 And by the way…..is corned beef and cabbage a staple there and I can’t really find anything online to point us I. That direction
Great video going going in a few months
Thank you for watching !! You will love it! My new favorite country !
GREAT INFORMATION THANK YOU WAS WONDERING WHERE YOU RENTED YOUR CAR FROM THANKS
@@teresaprose4631 I rented on capital one travel but I also use Expedia. Both are good to rent cars. Just rent your car then do the insurance part at the car pickup at airport. If you don’t have a capital one Expedia is great for renting cars.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR VIDEO I WAS WONDERING WHERE YOU RENTED YOR CAR FROM
I rented it through capital one travel. However, you could also do it through Expedia. I use both when I book. I recommend getting insurance at the rental car place when you get there. Just get the rental then when you get there you can add insurance. I recommend good insurance with the narrow roads that are sketchy. Oh, and thank you for watching!
How many days were you there?
I was there 8 days. There’s a more thorough video I have called How to Travel Ireland Tour. I go step by step each day. Thank you for watching!
Thank you for touring us in Ireland. I would go there sometime soon. Greetings from the Philippines! Take care!😃
