it is. He is explaning the physics of the ball. the ball bounced, then the other guy hit it which means he adds top spin causing the ball bounce to federer. if it was underspin, the ball would have bounce AWAY from federer
Unfortunately the ump can't see what spin the ball came at Roger with and has to make the call in the moment. I think in the modern game he would be able to challenge the call and have the ump take a look at the replay.
I feel like I am losing my mind. Ive spent 30 minutes on this and watched it maybe 14 times in .25 speed. I have no idea how people are seeing the ball hit THE GROUND? after his racquet?????? It hit his racquet after hitting the ground twice, and then it went UPWARDS. I dont know about the spin. It may have been more flat than topspin. Someone please back me up!!!!!.
if you watch the replay frame by frame and locate the ball, there is a moment where the ball's trajectory suddenly dips by around 30 degrees downward, which is impossible for any legal shot EXCEPT if the racket hit the ball downward. case closed.
I'd like to have been in the room when the umpire got see the slow motion, in that moment he knew he was dealing with a far greater knowledge of the game, and he knew far less than knew...
One announcer doesn't get it. Other announcer is right when he says "well, not a double bounce, but the ball's hit down into the ground first". Then the correct announcer just gives up and says "yes", when the other guy still doesn't get it and repeats a fantasy-land explanation. 🤦♂
gods here are devils in hell
Still popping up in reccomendations.
The ref should know how a ball is supposed to spin if hit correctly
this was recommended to me in 2024 and i'm seeing it for the first time lmao
What sport is this?
Nothing scientific about it.
Tennisn't
Refs in all sports r useless for calls like this. We have the technology to replace them
It's very clear that the ball bounced twice and Berdych should just have admitted it.
👏👏😊😊😊
Wait, why is he losing
I hate competitive sports judges. They are the most insecure people in the world
12 years let's go
thats not scientific

If i was federer i would call that judge a fucking idiot
I am blind i do not see it
Jack Draper take note!
Berdick was always a cheating douche
i miss federer......
Don’t piss Rodger off
First time I saw it I thought definitely bounced twice. Then on slow motion noticed that the second bounce form the racket not the floor, I think.

What kind of pitch is that? Blue clay🤣
Who else is here in 2024 after Jack Draper cheated?
Me!

oh if you're talking about this point then i don't know
Anybody else want Smurf Clay to make a comeback?

*GOAT*
I actually saw it bouncing twice but thought I saw wrong because they just kept playin 😂🎉
When you’re the best and the smartest
Coco gauff = “you’re racist, you did the same thing to serena, there was clearly topspin, why does this always happen to me”
So it bounces twice but Federer still doesn't get the point?
How did that match end?
it is still ongoing
Federer won the match for the title.
sad that he still didn't get the point, after he explained exactly why it had to have bounced twice and you can even see it on the replay.
Ball dont lie
Ngl I swear I see this video like every other year it’s insane. Idk why but it always shows up.
If you play the video on 0.25 x then you can see clearly the ball has touch or second time
If this was Serena Williams match, racism, umpire bashing on social media and extensive news coverage will happen.

The ball don't need no explanation. It simply jumped off the court.
Hmmm. And he didn't start screaming and yelling that the call was unfair. Like so many snowflakes do today
Umpire - 0 Dr. Federer - 1
Nice to see this is randomly popping up in everyone else's recommendations like 12 years late
Aquiii em 2024
That's why he's THE GOAT, THE GOAT!
"Well, not a double bounce, but the ball's hit down into the ground" 🗣🔥
Meaning the ball bounced twice on Berdych's side before going over the net. Don't know why the announcer needed to 'correct' him.
no i mean like the way he said it is cold cs it rhymes 😭
it double bounced
Bro sneaks a point from Federer, knows it, then smacks an ace? 🥶
