I love this sort of winter shelter and the scenery is beautiful. I thought that if you had 2 of those big canvases you could have insulated the interior walls and floors. I would have placed a pile of pine branches on the roof and then covered with snow. Not being critical as I love what you have done. Just saying.

I don’t understand why you spent so much time removing the snow just to replace it with branches. If it was so cold there, just use the snow to insulate and spend time on doing other necessary things like firewood, food and a good bed foundation.

You spent a ridiculous amount of time and energy, sweating 💦 is suicidal in freezing weather, and what purpose was throwing snow on the fire going to achieve, did you 💬 think the snow was going to catch fire , less messy if just left to burn completely away , and that ineffectual saw, there's more compact and purpose folding saws available.🙏

Breathtaking views. nice shelter. looks cold. I want to put the fire closer to me when I go out camping so I stay warm at night.

Wow...how beautiful! Again, I have to say so ... not wasteful, not pity, not regrettable, ... to leave such a hard-earned shelter behind after just one night...It is worth 2 weeks' stay to justify your skill and effort to build it. Beyond my comprehension... Thank you very much for giving us real sense of winter solo bushcraft.
