You're welcome Jodie!
Thanks Mark I’m gonna give it a try. Btw, you’re pretty cute!😘
You're very welcome Sharon! Haha aww I'm blushing; thank you! 😁 Let me know if that works for you 😉
Great video Thanks
Thank you!
Thanks for this video Mark! I opened my connecter and noticed that all cables were firm and there was nothing loose.I guess Im stuck with the error10 still depsite cleaning the rods and tightening the 3 cables...just wondering if you had any suggestions on what to try next? Many thanks Mark!
Very sorry that didn't work! A recent comment also suggested removing the swivel (like, literally, cutting it out and bypassing it), but I cannot endorse that without more information.
If this doesn't work , cut the swivel out of the line splice the 3 wires back together . Shrink tube the connection then encapsulate in epoxy . 9x out of ten it's the swivel
Thanks! I wasn't holding the pilot button long enough.... Once I did, it lit right up! I think I'll subscribe now.
Fantastic; glad you got it working!
those packets contain silica beads. if they've been sitting out in atmosphere for any length of time they are likely saturated with all the moisture they can hold anyway. in no better shape than the moist ones from the cleaner. any of those you can bake at 150f for a few hours (i use a turkey roaster). you can do that a few dozen times before the beads become unrecoverable. take them immediately out of the oven and let them cool just enough to not melt plastic and assemble the machine before they can become saturated again.
Thanks for the tip!
Did you turn off the AC unit before you did this?
You really don't need to; you're not dealing with any of the electronics or anything else requiring that. However, with that being said, if your drain pan is nearly full, it's best to shut the system off until you can ensure the primary drain line clog has been cleared and the pan is draining.
Thank you so much! Woke up this morning no hot water.. showers and dishes need done today .. you surely helped greatly saved me $150 from the plumber call estimate
Glad I could help!
You are doing the lord's work here, my man! Saved us from buying a new device thinking this one was dead. It was indeed the loose wire for us! Saved us a fortune!
I absolutely love feedback like this! Glad things worked out for you Shannon... Now go use that saved money for something fun and frivolous 😁
Hello, Thanks so much for taking the time to do this video! I appreciate it! We had a power outage here, and we have hot water, but I can’t see the pilot light when the hot water heater ignites. Does the pilot light still have to be reset? I can’t understand how we still have hot water, but can’t see the flame when the heater ignites. It’s a Bradford White water heater with Honeywell Controls Model MI40356FBN. Thanks for any help you can give me.
If you still have hot water, even hours after that power outage, then you're good to go. A power outage doesn't necessarily mean a pilot light will go out. It's possible that you may just not be looking exactly in the right place for that pilot light... So you should really try to figure that out... But it sounds like you're okay.
Thanks so much for answering. I really appreciate it. I’m also discovering that the hot water is very hot and it was never this hot before the power outage. Don’t know if this is cause for alarm or not.
Had the exact same issue. Video made it very easy to fix. It’s a metric Allen key btw.
All good and glad to hear!
Thank you for the video! Loose wire in that housing was causing our error 10 all along. Thanks again!
So glad it helped you Griffin.... and thanks for dropping a line!
You just saved me $400 on a new chord and installation. I fixed the disconnected wire and cleaned the pins; now it works perfectly! Thank you, Thank you!
Aww glad it worked out well for you Alyson!
I cleaned the pins & no fix - took the connector apart & all looked good. Hit all the points with wd40 & put it back together & it worked. Thanks for the vid. Helped me out bigtime. :)
Awesome and glad it worked!
Quick note: on my P945 I was able to untwist the pins section from the longer black body by putting a wide flathead screwdriver down between the pins, into the molded plastic body, and turn. I made sure not to hit the pins. I found this way pretty easy compared to using pliers to hold the side of the pin case.
BTW: my ER-10 was caused by ***hair*** around the propeller shaft: ruclips.net/video/lKxuOtqe00Y/видео.html Big thanks to you @MarkTheHost !!
Thanks for the advice Greg; duly noted!
Hey Mark, thank you so much for video! I had the same fault but would not have dismantled the connector without your help. Much appreciated 👍😉
Hey you're very welcome Robbie!
Nicely done Mark and thank you for taking the time!
What a kind compliment; thank you and you're very welcome!
Thank you for making this video. I had exactly the same issue. I was able to resolve it.
Great! Glad it helped 😊
Did that fix the error 2 issue?
Hello; this video wasn't made to fix an Error 2.... which my robot never had. Sorry
Perfect! Thanks!
Glad to help!
Thank you!!! That was the easiest video instructions! It totally addressed our issue and was unbelievably easy to fix!!
Fantastic and I'm happy it worked out for you!
Cleaning the connectors worked for me.. thanks for the tip.
Fantastic; I'm glad it worked for you!
Excellent video! I had 2 loose wires and without your video I would have been buying a new cable. Saved me a bundle! Thanks!!
Fantastic! I love comments like this 😁
Video was spot on. I cleaned the pins and my Polaris is working. Thank you so much. You saved me a trip to the dealer and the cost for a simple fix.
That's terrific news Frank! Thanks for watching 😁
So helpful! The wires were out on my unit as well and this got it back up and running again.
Fantastic! Thanks for watching and glad it worked out for you Michael!
Thanks a lot gentleman, you saved my life !!!
Glad it helped!
Thank you so much. I have a question if you don’t mind: my wire has 2 pulled out. Does it matter which way they go back in?
Hello Johnny and thanks for watching! Yes sir it matters, see below for the mapping: 1 - red 2 - unused 3 - brown 4 - black
One more time ty ty ty ! Up and running. I hope you know the extent to which you have helped so many people. Greatly appreciated 🙏🙏🙏
@@Johnnyjonesabc123 aww very kind of you and thanks for watching!
How do I replace the cable? Do you have a video of that ? Thank you
Hello Jamie, and thanks for watching!I don't have a video that specifically addresses cable replacement (I never had to do that myself personally), but I do have a video on the complete disassembly of the unit here --> ruclips.net/video/RjkJLSRbJx4/видео.html
Hi Mark. I just got one of these and have a quick question. Do the wheels turn when the unit is not in the pool? I’m trying to test it to make sure everything works but when I press start, the propeller motor runs for a few seconds then stops for 10 seconds, then runs for a few seconds again. Is this normal behavior when the unit is not in water? Thanks
Hello. Yes that is correct behavior; please don't get in the habit of trying to run it out of the water... it's not supposed to 🙂
Thanks for the response. And thank you for the video. It helped a lot.
@@alizuma233 glad to help! And thanks for watching 😊
Excellent explanation. You helped me fix my cleaner. Thank you so much.
Glad it helped!
If not already posted, the Allen key size is 1.5mm (what worked for me, anyway).
Yes sir it got posted before but never hurts to repeat; thanks for posting!
Thank you Mark ! I was about to have a new Water Heater installed until I came across your video. Thank you for being so detailed. This is great.!! Subscribed 👍🏼
Hey I'm so glad to hear that; it's always nice to hear stories like this! 👍
I’m looking for gear and bushing replacement kit for a Polaris VRX 4WD. The parts from Polaris are insane!
I agree! All I can suggest is looking on eBay or OfferUp for folks selling their units.
After trying everything to fix Error Code 10. I discovered a frayed and disconnected black wire. Saved me a couple hundred bucks and a call to the service center. THANK YOU!!!
So glad it worked out for you, and thanks for watching! Make me a Tortilla and we'll call it even lol 😆
This video solved one problem. The red wire on my 9450 was OUT. It looks as though the screw was never actually tightened on it. I'm still getting an Error Code #10 but I think they rubber sheath of the wire is starting to crack closer to the actual unit. I might try and shorten the wire. Will update here if I am successful.
Thanks Stephen and yes please keep us updated!
@@MarktheHost I actually had to go a lot further and cut the wire and buy new crimps for the end plugged into the vacuum unit itself. I followed the long instructions from this video: ruclips.net/video/8umY6KJMRvE/видео.html That got me all the details I needed for fixing the other end of the unit. Both ends of mine were FUBAR. Thanks Mark for helping out with this video. Amazing :)
Praying I can get rid of the error code but I wanted to ask you if one of my pins corroded and broke off can I connect one of the wires to the other 3 since one pin seems to be for show? Any help would be appreciated thank you!
While that might sound like a plausible solution, keep in mind that the control unit is expecting those 3 particular pins to have the wires connected to them, so no I don't feel that will work. At this point, you'll probably have to replace the entire screw-in connector, and finding those parts might be difficult.
@@MarktheHost thank you for replying I really appreciate it, I found the part at Leslie’s pool supply for 31.00 so I’ll have to let u know if it works:)
@@dawnfelix4593 No kidding? Count yourself lucky that you were able to find that part. Polaris made it very difficult to find many parts for this robot; looks like that was one that they made readily available! Yes please keep us posted! This should be relatively easy to swap out.
Thanx for taking your time to share your experience 😉
My pleasure 😊
This is awesome! Thanks. I'm going to try this out this weekend I keep getting ERROR 10 anywhere from 5 minutes to 1 hour into the cleanings process.
Thanks and please keep us posted!
@@MarktheHost Update: Well now I'm getting error 10 constantly. I checked the connections going into the main power supply and that is good. But honestly I don't think I have it in me to dive into the more significant part of the repair. I'm leaning towards replacing it with something else that doesn't have so many potential fault points.
@@Martin-Techno-Gadget-Guy oh man I'm sorry to hear that. If you do replace it, you should be able to recoup a couple hundred by selling it for parts at least.
@@MarktheHost That is a good idea. I will have to try and sell it locally because it is way too big to pack up and ship. I'm in Southern California so if you know anyone that wants it let me know. I think I want to switch to an all-battery version. Do you have any particular brand or model number to recommend?
@@Martin-Techno-Gadget-Guy Try selling locally on OfferUp; you'll probably fare better than eBay. I don't have anything else to suggest... that robot was still my preferred option over others 😉
Thank you!
My pleasure! I hope it helped 👍
Thanks Mark, I had a lose wire and was able to fix myself because of your video. If your ever in Mississauga Ontario stop by for a beer pool side.
Glad to help! Haha no way, I was in Mississauga in 2022 for a concert 😅
Great you just saved $$$ on buying a new unit !
You bet!
Mark! You’re my hero!!! I was beyond frustrated that my bot kept giving me that damn error. Followed your advice and when I open mine, it wasn’t a loose wire but instead water and some blue crusty stuff. Cleaned it all up with a paper towel and magic! We were back up and running in less time than it took me to find a screw driver.
So glad you got it going! Check out my TikTok profile if you like 😊 www.tiktok.com/@markthehost?_t=8m0E6d6ZNr5&_r=1
I have a Polaris P965IQ. It seems I need a new circuit board for the motor assembly. Anyone have leads on getting one? Thank you.
My advice would be to scour OfferUp and eBay for folks selling theirs. Find someone that lists it as not working, there's a good chance the specific part you need is fully functional.

My.head unit powers.off something on board is broke. Any leads on what to test on boards
I must admit I've never cracked open the control unit, but I'm guessing that won't be easy to figure out. My advice? Find someone selling one on eBay that's advertised as non-working; chances are very good that their control unit is still good, since the robot itself usually breaks first.
Great video! Thanks. Would you tell me what wire goes to where, i bought a used one and when I took it apart two of the wires were disconnected. Thanks again
Thanks! Here you go: 1: red 2: <not used> 3: brown 4: black
Hi got a barracuda pool robot has got four flashes and now what start had a power cut next day would not work any ideas how to fix?
Hello, very sorry but I'm not familiar with those.
Good description but everything looked clean and tight. Im wondering about the swivel now.
I'm sorry that didn't fix it for you. If you do crack open the swivel, please let me know if that was the issue.
Thank you sooooo muchhhh
You're very welcome!
