When doing the conbré variation, én face, what determines whether you bend to or from the supporting leg? I gave seen it done both ways.

Hmmm, it doesn't matter which syllabus you teach necessarily, important is HOW. Students will always copy their teacher, good and bad. Notice the port de bras, even the assistant is copying the teacher's arms exactly, dropped elbows, and moving from the wrists etc..pause @5:11 for a 2nd position of the arms cringe-fest!

Uh, some of the counts and basics of Temps lié in the Vaganova school...yes...but this is -not- Vaganova by any means. The arms are mostly wrong, the body position and aplomb is more RAD than it is Vaganova - that's a real head scratcher!....and "glissé" ?!!? When did that term leave England to Moscow on the Siberian Express?! There is no "Glissé" in the Vaganova school! Oy. A for Effort, (I'm glad she loves the method...however...) C for Accuracy.

There are a few mistakes. Temps lié does not always have the same arm positions, and they don't use the term "cambré". There is no temps lié to polupaltsa (half point), it is temps lié over the points, and yes it's done in 2nd class. Temps lié sauté doesn't have those port de bras. The temps lié at 90° (you named it "développé") must do plié while the other leg points to the supporting leg's knee, then later stretch the leg at 90°. All in all is amazing that you know so much, and great that you share it like these, but it would be great if you correct these things.

Vaganova method doesn't say cambré. Neither count 1 to 8 as you did, and the second port de bras is not like that. Wonder have you even read Vaganova's book ?
