The app will work pretty well with most modern iPhones, but we recommend iPhone 11 and up. Any iPhone Pro model will work best though.

Yes, you can create your own custom UE scenes with cars driving, people, and any other animations!

how do you access the mocap feature?

It’s a little button that has avatar face on it. Right now it’s labeled Beta. They can only be used with the Unreal Engine made backgrounds.

We're adding support for uploading your own character from Unreal Engine very soon! We also plan to add support for Metahuman soon. We don't have Character Creator on the road map right now.

YES!! It's the easiest and most affordable way on planet earth to do virtual production.

Right now it only capture facial movements. It does large animations though like walking, crouching and sitting. We'll be adding full body capture soon. We'll also be adding High Quality Export which will increase the frame rate and resolution after you've filmed with a live preview.

Yes, you can export all of the layers separately and do your own compositing in AE. The camera tracking USD file can also be opened in UE5. Our High Quality Export servers were down for about a week unfortunately, so please try it again. AI relighting should be working again for all new clips. Old clips you captured may have corrupted files during that period.

Yes!! Please do make a music video and share it with us. If you need any help, please let us know and we'll do everything we can, for instance getting custom environments if you need them.

Right now it is one focal length only, the main lens (typically 24mm on most iPhones) However, we plan to add a zoom feature that will also adjust the background.

Yes, we need to make a new video explaining exporting in more detail! Doing a high quality export typically takes 60-90 mins depending on current server load. Keep the app open while uploading the clip, but after than you can close it and wait for the notification that your cloud export is done. AI relighting takes the longest, so if you don't need it for the clip, don't check the box.

Thanks! we don't support cinema camera input right now. At the beginning we did, but it was complicated to setup so we decided to focus on iOS only. We may add it back in the future!

It's as good as you make it really. You can use a gimbal, tripod or slider for very smooth shots. How good the key looks all depends on how you light your green screen and settings. We've been able to get great results!

Hey! So sorry about that! We have an issue that I am working on a fix for this week where you can only sign in on the web app if you created your account with an email and password. If you signed in with Apple or Google to create your account, can you click the "Forgot password?" link at app.skyglass.com and enter the email you used to sign in with Apple or Google? It should send you an email to set a password that you can then use to log in to the web app. Please reach out if you have any trouble! support@skyglass.com

Thanks for the feedback. This video was created before separate layers were available in-app. So you're right, the demo can be even better now! With the right editing techniques you can make something really cool with all of the available layers now. We'd love to see anything you make with it!

yes, you can use AI background removal and walk around to film anywhere. However, you will get much better background removal results while using a green screen.

Sure! This is definitely something we need to make more clear. The marker is an anchor for your scene in the real world. When you load an asset in Skyglass while using the world-facing camera, the app will prompt you to place the marker on a surface. This anchors the center of your virtual scene to a specific location in the real world.

The app require a low latency connection to our servers to get the best performance while streaming. We have servers in the US and Europe right now, so it's open in all of North America and Europe. We plan to add servers in Asia and other parts of the world soon, that way everyone can experience how amazing the app is, without latency, Please be patient while we expand around the world.

You armor just from your profile pic looks dope! If you're wearing blue armor, with a green screen, it should work as long as you tap to select the green screen behind you. If you use AI background removal, it may struggle to identify you armor cause it doesn't look "human like" lemme know!
