Pelagic Fish can be teased with a rig suspended from a Helium balloon. The idea is to skip the bait along the surface trying to get a Spanish Mackie of Tuna to strike. First time playing with the gear today and I think with more practice I might get my bait in the tuna schools I sometimes see through my binoculars

Would left hand retrieve be recommended for a right handed like a spinning reel? Thinking of trying Alvey but only LH reel is available where I live.

Unlike others I was a little relieved to see you get a bit tangled. At least as a novice I can see it also happens to experts. Thanks for the video. It really shows clearly how to pick up the line when yo turn the reel sideways for the cast.

What drop system are you using? or have you made one up yourself?
Check out the down rigger clip by the Company SCOTTY.. Wire based and wraps around drone...main line fits into clip. Hope that helps bro
You have to punch cast to get long distance. I do a skipping run into a punch cast. NH. 🦈🎣

You getting line slap and twists because your rod needs a 60mm base guide , the guides on your rod are too small your rod is designed for a smaller Alvey reel like an estuary reel 450, not for a Surf reel 700, cheers mate

Hello the fishing downrigger line swung up into the rotor blades..I now fly more slowly and have added legs to my drone which lower the position of the downrigger line/clip..should be o.k

Hi Buddy 500 grams is no problem..That is two large hooks and a large sinker or float..I never had any dramas!

Scotty's downrigger clips have one end you can loop around the drone..I will show this in a future video no worries

What kind of hook set up are you using?
Just a Basic 3-4/0 size gang of hooks. Stops the Tailor from snipping the line
