@thetriggerman954 what's good my man. It's an ls400 with a gold cap some type of hybrid that can be used for both clear and base.

Huge difference is wash the car when it comes in. Cleaner jobs, less supplements with missed damage. Also washing the dirt out from the inside of the bumpers.

Shop BS is something the youngins need to know about. Digging that you pump Griselda while you shoot as well.🔥 That Supernova/Walcom combo is spraying proper, turned out great!👍🏾
Someone told me to help with metallic blends that can be hard to put just a little bit in your first boat of clear. I haven’t tried it yet. What are your thoughts on that? Also your dad was an automotive painter?

I want to see more then just clear. I like to watch people do the blends. I don’t always have perfect blends but I paint boats currently. I want to switch to cars soon.
Pharraway uses the walcoma spray guns sometimes

Yes please I want to know all the drama! I’m fresh into the trade. I work at a boat shop with some guys that will skin you if you look at them wrong. So I imagine the car world can’t be as bad.
Another great tip! I used to do that back in 2007 when I was spraying Sherwin Williams most of their pearls had heavy pigment in the actual pearl coat, base coat would look horrible then the mid coat would correct it So I used to mix them together I can't explain how it worked but it used to work LOL. Keep pumping these videos out brother 🦾

do you spray water or solvent? will this work with waterborne base?
I was shooting ppg waterbase before and used this same method and it worked. The reps will say it don't work but it does

Going to use the 4000 clear today on a 2024 bmw, front fender and bumper blend... Or possibly the 3000, haven't decided yet! TC in Annapolis MD
I like the 4000 much better and you could use the 95 hardner. The 3000 is also great but much thinner and brittle to me. Especially on front end parts that take more daily abuse from road
@@paintworkbyjr exactly! Used 3000 almost exclusively over 10 years ago, well over a thousand jobs, and did see a lot of stone chipping on the front ends, you settled my internal debate LOL I'll go with the 4000 on this one
@@paintworkbyjr BTW have you ever noticed newer BMW paint being extra soft?? I was shocked yesterday when I noticed I could easily nail print the factory clear!!
New sub! TC in Maryland with over 30 years restoration and collision experience
Just did the 4000 with medium hardener and a little bit of slow reducer on a 2024 BMW 760i front fender, 1/2 bumper cover, came out well. 1st use of my new ANI "Compact"... Really like the gun so far, perfect for smaller jobs, there is a review of it on the gunman.
Is it anyway I can get the paint code for this color? I’m looking to shoot my nova soon and this is exactly the color I’ve been trying to find. But looking at color cars versus actual paint on a car seems a little different.
Sorry but don't remember code and can't pull it out since not at that shop. It is a nice color kinda silver green look

Yes and it's a very good durable clearcoat. Best results using 95 and 98 hardners

Jr. What sherman williams clear coat did you use on that black hood? Also what was the code of the base coat. I am looking to paint a black volvo c30 and was curious. That paint job is amazing 👏
The clearcoat was cc250 with all slow harnder and reducers. I'm not sure what black that was but Ford has a beautiful deep black you would like.

@@paintworkbyjr man I already know about the snakes. That's why I keep my ass at my shop It's old school but no sucker shit going on. I have a low tolerance for that shit. So I already know man 46 years old and I've been painting since I was 19 day in day out been in those type of shops so I already know the sucker shit that goes on. Clear Coat looks good. All in the prep work and a good paint gun. SATA is my brand.

You’re going to be the first with this one. People are kind of sleeping on this gun. I gotta ask man, digital gauge aside if money was no object would you get the new ws400 or the old?
Both guns are good just not a big difference from the original versions. The clear gun was fixed from the problem of being hard to setup. The ws400 2.0 sprays good wide open and full fan. Maybe turn fluid a quarter in at most. I think the walcom and sagola to me are better in efficiency and easy to use.
