    I've had this or perhaps an earlier version for about 12 years, it works great in dry, powder snow, but the chute clogs quickly in wet stuff and I have to clear the chute about every 20 seconds, but it does clear it.

      I bought this machine in 2022 and so far in 2023 we just had our big first 7 inch snow of the season and it fired right up and did exactly what it shows in the video worked really well again this is for 7 inches and under could probably do eight, but does not do so well if the snow is very wet. Here in Colorado we get really cold dry snow until near the spring so it’s works well. If you get one, make sure you get a good cord.

      On our 3rd winter this year with this little bad boy! The more you wait for the snow to pile up the harder you will on work outside. If you are getting wet snow then anything under a foot, this will run through easy!, This is very light as if you are using a slight larger vaccum. So its easy to menuever and get around your driveway, but will be hard to push through compacted snow that are above a foot. Anything compacted over a foot can't be thrown with this is you only use half the width of this clearance, trying to use a full clearance will only make ypu spend twice the time so mind as well work smart right?, With 4 car driveway, i can get it done under 30 minutes including prep and stow. Alaskan here.l! 🤙

    I have this and have been using them to make RUclips content. My experience with them is not the best... They can sound nice, but unfortunately, they are EXTREMELY unreliable. In a sabe video, without changing voice tone, head position, mic position, the volume and quality of the captured sound varies a lot... damping or increasing without any apparent reason. Overall, I don't think it was a good purchase and I wish I would have saved more money and then bought some of the high-end brands.

      Hey you’re gonna love that machine in the hobby welcome to the community and you know I’ve never tried using other Bluetooth headphones myself, I’ve heard you can but that they need to be low latency Bluetooth headphones so that there is no delay between reporting to target to your ears when the coil swings over it. I would advise you to definitely keep looking for further information on that or even reach out to Nokta or maybe find a video on RUclips regarding that I just never tried it but wish you the best of luck an awesome finds in your future

    Live videos of the X-Terra Pro show coins reading as iron in all frequencies, air tests from other videos show its limitations of depth are approximately 11 to 12 inches even with the 12 inch coil, but for people at the beach it's still a strong contender. Using old school Whites machines I found coins from the mid-1700s at no deeper than 9 to 10 inches, so target range depth is not the most important issue for me as a Nokta Simplex and Qwest Q10 Pro user, it's that casino slot machine sound of the Minelab and serious processing delay!. Notice the sounds are heard only after the coil has passed over the target. What I love about the Nokta Simplex is the old school threshold that enables you to find the deepest targets. Nokta plans to update the frequency of the Simplex from 12 to 15 MHz which will totally destroy its depth making the Minelab the leader of the pack, so sad. Any thoughts?

    • @ifindit2319
      @ifindit2319 Год назад

      I havent had a chance to give the X-Terra a go yet but have heard some good things. That is the first Ive heard about the coins reading as iron. New machines are always coming out and so "Best" videos will always have a limited life. I think Minelab was very smart in coming out with this machine at this price point and tons of people love Minelab. I am sure it is cutting into sales of the Simplex. Time will tell how it performs... the features are very impressive. I swing the Legend and have this Simplex as my backup... either the Simplex or the X-Terra would be a great way to go if you are beginning in this hobby. I dont think going from 12 to 15 mHz will affect depth in some soils, maybe in the sand, but for beginners buying this machine, it will be unnoticeable to them.

      Higher frequencies is better for small gold nuggets , small ear ring studs etc. Lower frequencies is better for silver. So going higher you will gain sensitivity for gold but sacrifice maybe for silver although 15 khz still works for silver. 12 khz was a sweet spot for gold and silver. Simultaneous multifrequency like NOX and vanquish uses both high and low together.

    Yeah looks like minelab is gunning for the Simplex with the Xterra pro $260ish. I guess they seen people still want a single frequency detector and want a affordable detector. Only thing I see the xterra will have is the recovery speed adjustment, 3 frequency to choose from (5khz,10khz and 15khz). I'm hoping Nokta give the multiple frequency in the new Simplex ultra. Guess we'll see. I own a Simplex and a Gold Kruzer. Don't planning on jumping ship anytime. Next one will be the legend.
