Hey bro my ps3 super slim turns red light .then I turn it on to green light then it automatically turn off.
For people who don't have a multimeter, you can use a small bulb or a small watch that works on a 1.5v battery, plug the 1.5v battery to the small bulb, if it the bulb works, try to plug the fuse to the circuit, if the bulb works again, it means that the fuse is working

I went too far and tried to clean the gear mechanism for the eject button, cant figure that out for the life of me. Nor do any of these videos cover it sadly, but great work! You were much better than i was and still am, so kudos to you.

I have read that you never touch the insides of the PSU, they still hold off current and may shock you.
That's why he say to wait 15min until the capacitors uncharge :)

Wish I found this when i was doing my refurbishing. I dont know what i did wrong but mine wont power on now after completely cleaning everything. I did use a lot of spray duster as there was YEARS of dirt/grime in the unit, absolutely everywhere, so maybe I overdid it?
It could just be loose or unplugged cables
@themechanic9841 worth considering. A couple ribbon cables snapped/broke they were so crispy/fragile too.

This is a bypass and not fixing the initial issue. Also this is rather dangerous to do.

Your oil looks filthy for just being changed
Good for cpu and gpu and bad for other electrical components because you change airflow from the case.
Not necessarily, the other vents are still open all we did was increased the airflow from right over the fan.

Simple as this: PS3 fan is blowing air downside, he just allowed PS3 fan to blow EVEN MORE air to the PS3. He changed nothing of flow, you're so full of it. There are other modders running tests on this kind of mods and the PS3 runs til 7° cooler. Cut the lies. "SoNy EnGiNeErs"... well let me tell you something Sony engineers don't give a dime about your little device, just look how faulty PS3, and ps5 fat turned out. These people just sharing with others ways to cool the console down. Keep your "SoNy EnGiNeErs" stuff for yourselves.

So my PS3 has no red light when plugged in, so the fuse must have blown up in standby. But how do I find why? Because I see no problem in the power supply (nothing burned, all capacitors look good)
U can check if the fuse is blown with the multimeter, fuse would have blown because of a power fluctuations.

Console works fine , ull just have to see the dust deposited on the fan and judge if cleaning is required.

Super slim is more best because not have ish plate on the video chip and you can aply thermal paste direct on the cpu chip.
