DDDA was patched several times, the game version for ps4 and xbox one was the best, in that vesion of the game the suicide pawns were corrected, as long as several corrections, don´t know why but, the pc version of the game is based on an older version, and the pawns still jump over the chests. for example, the ps4/one version have pad shortcuts to items, function missed in the pc version, that only can be done by keyboard in a different way, more like a mod. People may compare DD2 with the vanilla version of the first game, without hard difficulty and were the fast travel was expensive for the first hours (Dark Arisen was nerfed), the problem is that few people know the vanilla version, or don´t remember what it was ike

Bro I legit have to fucking make them wait if I’m going somewhere that has an edge because they loose all sense of logic 😂😂😂. I was fighting a drake once and my pawn decided to jump in which I tried to save her through magic archer in which my other pawn pushed me down to my death and the worst part is that I didn’t get time to save so I had to fight the drake all over.

When I first got to Battahl I decided to decend the cliff instead of walking the road and I have a leaderboard for how many times I had to revive a pawn: 1. The random I hired with one revive 2. My main pawn with two 3. My friend's pawn who plummeted to her demise three times on that one cliff

If u sprint off the edge the game can make your character automatically far jump to their death too in DD2. In DD1 ud either stop or drop down. Player character got some of that pawn magic in the sequel.

🤣 I had something similar happen when I making my way down a cliff. I safely got down and the next thing I know all 3 pawns jump off the cliff like lemmings. I didn't know whether to laugh or get mad.

My pawns always disappear and the game wont tell me how. Suddenly I just hear someone going "maybe we should add a Warrior to our ranks" and I go "But I have a Warrior.... right?" Or this one time when I finally arrived at my destination after a long travel two of my pawns were picked by harpies and thrown into the brine... I had to run all the way back to town again.

In the everfall in dd1 all three of my pawns jumped over a chest into a hole that literally leads to nowhere

you can jump to the hay and not get hurt, most likely that the pawns were trying to jump into it but failed spectacularly

That's crazy I've seen so many videos or memes or read people complain or joke about how the pawns will jump to their deaths or do something incredibly stupid where you would laugh about or maybe be frustrated and in over 60 hours it happened twice to me that i saw something like that and even then it was an accident where they didn't reach the other side. I won't complain since I'm really fine with them doing good but how is this even possible for them to just go straight off the edge.

In DD1 running up to a chest near a cliff would cause pawns to jump over the chest, usually to their death. So the solution is to walk up to the chest, don't run up to it.

I dont mine when pawns kill themselves, but i what i do have a problem with is how one night i had to deal with them trying to learn how to swim for 3 hours straight, having to go back to the 15 frame capital every 20 minutes just ruined my night. But good game i beat in a week and loving ng+.
