In reality, Dime uses a tuning that falls between D and C# - 425hz. This guitar however is just tuned to C# 440hz.

First of all, I’m stoked to hear you’ll be getting your first guitar. As for spending, it’s all relative. I’d start by saying what’s your budget? I wouldn’t recommend ever buying a guitar you cannot buy in full in cash. This guitar is an incredible value with all of the features I would call essential though. It’s a great “middle of the road” option for you. As for getting started, start by finding music that truly inspires you. Look for free lessons on RUclips. Learn that bedrock foundation. Then perhaps consider private lessons! Stop by any time if you have more questions. Prior to the birth of my son, I taught guitar for roughly 12 years!

@Austin_Shredder Thanks so much for the reply👍 I just spent the last 3 hours watching reviews on Schecter and Jackson guitars. Seems like most players start modifying them from the start. That makes no sense to me. I guess the more expensive guitar is the better choice in the long run. Do you agree?

The longer you play guitar, the more picky you will become. But I play my $600 stealth black Dean ML a ton and I’ve done NOTHING to it. Schecter, PRS, Jackson, Epiphone, and Ibanez all offer fantastic starter and intermediate guitars you can choose from. When starting out, you won’t be very picky. I do recommend starting with a fixed bridge rather than a tremolo system though. If you have specific models in mind, I can give you my opinion.
