@@ohsoravishing I bought ornaments at Dollar General, after Christmas for 90% off! They had some kind of decoration that I was able to peel off. I think i bought about 40! They were only 9 cents each! People talk about Black Friday shopping, I like day after Christmas shopping!

@@50toinfinityatleast that’s what I had finally decided on! I’ve got to repaint the red and green ornaments on the sign, then I’ll shop for white ribbon to make bows for the wreath and garland. I really like the blue and gold, together, with just a little white. It’s very different from anything I’ve done in the past. And, most of this is recycled, or after Christmas clearance sale stuff. So, that excites me!!

@@thehopefulbudgeter thank you! I painted another sign, yesterday, using the blue and gold. Today I’m painting some ornaments to match, so I can attach them to a wreath, and a garland to wrap the front post. But, now it makes me feel like I want to go back to the big sign and paint all the ornaments gold!!

wow. Now, I'm crying, again. But, these are happy tears, and tears of compassion. It's almost as if the world wants us to think we are alone in our feelings, and that something is wrong with us. But, I think it's people don't want to talk about uncomfortable things. I believe it's important to talk about those things, because you never know who needs to hear your words. Thank you for your prayers, and for your openness and honesty. I hope anyone who watches this knows that this a place where we can be vulnerable and talk about 'real' things. I don't know exactly how old you are, but hormones wreck us. Physically, and emotionally. When I finally went to a doctor who did lots of bloodwork and looked at all of my levels, she found that my hormones were all out of what, my vitamin D was extremely low, and my thyroid wasn't working like it should. It's been a process, a journey, of trying different dosages and repeating lab work. But, it has made a tremendous difference. I am going to fight my way through this time of year. When I set up my December planner, I pulled affirmations about the month, and the one that resonates today is, "I can get through this holiday season, because I've done it so many times before." Hugs and prayers to you. Thank you for sharing your heart.

I'm so sorry you'be been having a bad day. Sometimes, it is just really hard to put feelings into words. Like I said, this was supposed to be about goal setting and went off on an ADD fueled tangent. It did stop raining for a little while, though, so I got to go outside and get a little fresh air and break. Feeling much better after a good cry. Again, I'm so sorry you've had a hard day. You are loved ❤

@@50toinfinityatleast I really thought I was the only one. I look around and it sometimes feels like everyone has it all together, except me. I KNOW that’s not true. But it’s a struggle. I think that’s why I probably overshare on her. I never want another person to feel alone. If I figure out how to set some goals, I’ll sure let you know!

I am very cold. I don’t think either one of us way very much it doesn’t look like you do. And I think we’re the same age. If I’m not mistaken we talked about that in comments one time so I can really relate to you. all the things you’re saying, make perfect sense to me and I’m really glad we connected on here. Like I made that one video about you’re not alone you’re really not. I need to put an email address on my channel so if anybody ever wants to email me, they’ll know how to do it. I’m gonna finish the video now and I’ll probably have another comment and that probably won’t be a bad thing because they help with your engagement :-) I’m proud of you for sharing everything that you’re sharing though. @@JustBeth-FabulousOver50 I didn’t know how to post something g ahead of time. This was supposed to be practice, to see if I could do it right! Apparently, I did. It was so much fun. I almost cried, being able to chat and interact with people. Just a blessing. That’s the only way I can describe it.

@@SimplyKatieWalks thank you. It was interesting to see how all the different types of paint would come together.

I did the basecoat of white acrylic craft paint, then penciled in the outlines. I used watercolor pencils to color in, then a wet paintbrush to sort of spread the color. It was pretty and 'light', but after I posted a pic on my FB, asking for opinions, I decided to use the metallic gold to give it some shimmer and sort of shading. I'm very happy with it. I have SO many of these shapes that I got at Dollar General, 2 years ago, after Christmas...for 90% off. So, I think I paid 9 or 10 cents, each! I've been dampening the paper decal design, and peeling it off, then painting my own designs. EVERYBODY on my Christmas list is getting an ornament!!

@@50toinfinityatleast I live in south Louisiana, and our low today was 43. I haven’t been outside and have on jeans with a long sleeve T-shirt, and a hoodie, and I’m freezing. I told my boyfriend that my internal thermostat must be broken.

@@ingajohannsdottir1180 oh, my gosh. Thank you for sharing that. I would have never thought of mixing in all those different colors. You must be a very experienced artist. You would think, that with my years of sewing and crafting, I would know more about color theory, but I don’t.

I was so fortunate to have excellent art teachers at school, parents that supported the interest by ensuring we always had some art supplies and basically just curious enaugh to keep experimenting to see 'what happens if I do this?' 😁

@ingajohannsdottir1180 that's wonderful. My brother was always considered "the artistic one", and had several years of art classes. My biggest hobby was sewing. It's interesting that in all my years of that, I was not more exposed to color theory.

I'm sure you have gained a lot of understanding of what colours work well together, how contrasting clours bring each other out, how much different a quilt made with warm earthtones looks from the same pattern sewn in cool pastels - all of that is colour theory too! But it's easy to blend paint and not as easy to stir coloured fabric together😄 (We had a blast painting, btw, so thanks again for this tutorial❤️)

@@ingajohannsdottir1180 It's actually funny when I think about it. I never really learned about color theory, but I've noticed things, that I guess I just thought everyone knew...like black can have blue or brown undertones, grey can be warm, or cool...those kinds of things, I learned from working with fabric. I know the more I do this, the more I will learn, and the more confident I'll become. I'm glad you enjoyed the video, and hope you'll come back for more!

Actually, I think I am just exceptionally blessed. I struggle with my mental health and am not really able to work outside the home. So, my boyfriend supports me and my frugal life. I take care of him and our home, and he takes care of me. What that means is that I have a LOT of hours, at home. I used to think my dream job would be decorating other homes for Christmas, then I started thinking about how often I doubt myself, and how important the approval of others is so important to me. Then, I realized I would be stressed to BITS. So, I decorate our home a little, I do lots of Christmas crafts, trying to use supplies I already have, and just try to share the Christmas spirit.

@@50toinfinityatleast I feel the same way. I try to limit myself to one order a week, and keep it under $30, and it has to be for a gift, or something truly useful. But, lol. That doesn’t always happen.

I actually did do some extra Bible study and journalling and feel SO much better. Thank you.

Thank you so much! I think our imperfections should be embraced and loved. I am definitely not a perfectionist. And, I haven't learned to edit videos, so everything is unfiltered and real. I'm not the place if someone is looking for perfection. Thank you for watching :)
