First time gardener here. I grew my tomatoes mainly in grow bags and just a few real bad looking ones in the garden bed. When they first went in they looked fine. Then they became GIANTS and completely out of control. Even then ones that looked real bad to begin with finally took off and got out of control. Lesson: I built a string trellis to be jealous.

Hello! Oxal dumping with joint and muscle pain at 3 am for the past few weeks. Does anyone have any tips on what to do about it? 9 weeks into carnevore now and otherwise working perfectly

That’s fantastic you are doing carnivore diet! Don’t worry about the scales. I’m not sure what you’re eating but for me stopping dairy was a game changer. I lost 6 kilos in a month and I wasn’t overweight annd have been carnivore since 2019. Eating so much protein may cause you to put on muscle even without trying. Muscle weighs more than fat. You’re feeling better. That’s the main thing. 😁

You mentioned that you're not quite so out of breath after the first 30 days. You ascribe it to carnivore but that's pretty obviously wrong. You literally lost 15 pounds - THAT is why your breathing is improved. Carnivore has nothing to do with it. Any diet that puts you in a calorie deficit will cause you to lose weight, and it's losing weight that improves lung function. You would have literally noticed the same thing after losing 15 pounds regardless of how you went about it. What you don't seem to understand is that there's nothing magical about carnivore. It's literally just an extreme elimination diet. You're losing weight because you're eating at a deficit - that's true whether or not you're bothering to count calories, because you literally cannot and will not lose weight otherwise. And if you're noticing an improvement in inflammation and other ailments you've had - well, again, carnivore is an elimination diet. You're clearly not eating things that were causing you issues. That doesn't mean that carnivore is the secret. It just means the absence of something else is. And that should not be taken to mean that carnivore is THE diet for you. Because what you're disregarding are the problems you're going to develop from not eating fruits and vegetables. Humans are omnivores. We can SURVIVE for a while on extreme diets but we won't thrive in the long term, and it WILL shorten your overall lifespan. There's a reason why the world's longest lived populations are cultures which are omivorous with an emphasis on plants.

I broke out in a severe rash after about 5 months of carnivore it's so bad I stopped the diet I'm getting ready to finish up second prednisone round I was drinking one cup of coffee in the morning with cream then basically eating organic hamburger I was thinking the coffee needed to go so I stopped it as well it's been a nightmare the dermatologist will see me next year what's the point? I'm hurting now the rash is unbearable

You're missing something about the shipping cost data at Sweet Marias. There is the UPS Ground option at $8.99. That is not so high as the other choices. Also, customer needs to buy minimum $15 in merchandise for any shipment order at Sweet Marias. Best to buy at least 4 pounds of green coffee to have less impact of shipping cost upon what you buy.

One square foot works for tomatoes but you have to trim them. Give them an eighteen inch square or two foot square if you get a jungle every year like I do. 😊

I do something similar. I have a running 4' x 22' raised compost heap. I rake up a mound to fit under a 24" x 36" 2 by 4 frame with 1/4" hardware cloth on one side. I plant deer corn ($9 for 50 pounds) in the heap of compost and cover with the wire-covered frame & water in place. As the corn sprouts, I raise up the frame about an inch, resupporting the frame with compost, which lets the fresh greens poke through, while NOT letting the chickens scratch up the plot. As it plays out, I finally remove the frame to another location and replant giving me ongoing fresh greens for my ladies almost year round.

Purslane isnt a bad green/living mulch fornyour garden beds though. And it will stop all thebother weeds from growing in the empty spaces while provided the same benefits as mulch as well as aerating the soil.

Transitions from Keto to Carnivore about 2 months now. Gave up tea and coffee 20 days ago. Im having srange symptoms. RL S at night and an itchy rash on my arm. Could that possibly be oxalate dumping.

It helps to have a little vodka in the airlock or even stronger alcohol. To kill germs and kill fruit flies from getting into the mixture inside the bottle. You can also store the jug under the cabinet, so it doesn’t have to be in a special room. It’s more convenient for making adjustments also.
