Congrats on your 1k subs 😃 - I find the "local" charity shops (rather than BHF / Oxfam etc) have much better prices and don't always know what they are selling and you can get a good bargain with friendly customer service too

It's not re-sellers - charity shops used to be the little old lady who would say 'how about 10 pence dear' - now they are businesses with managers who are 20 somethings that are tech savvy and are employed to make maximum profit for the charity - they still have the volunteers but they are run by paid staff

They have ebay and vinted now to get their prices from.

Charity shops just do more research now. Not everyone who shops in a charity shop is a reseller.

I’m afraid to say they have ruined charity shops for ordinary folk. Charity shops are charging eBay prices because they think everyone is a reseller.

Hi, just came across your channel and subscribed straight away. Have you done a video on when you set up an ebay shop? And the pros and cons? Keep up the good work. I'm a part time seller but not sure if I should make the step and set up an Ebay shop.

Love watching these videos and learning new stuff - have sold media (records, CDs etc) on ebay for donkey's years but no doubt there is more to be made from expanding knowledge, so it's fascinating to see the stuff you buy. FWIW my better half knows a little about china and reckons the Royal Worcs Roanoke is a coffee pot (she says tea pots are far more circular/round) but it was a great buy and a possible £50 sale (don't quote me on that!). Oh and 'absolutely' pales into insignificance compared with 'but' - we are southern softies and love the way you say 'but'! Hope that doesn't sound patronising, it's meant to be the opposite and when you say "buuuuuuttt" it makes us both smile! Keep up the great content, look forward to the next one x

The lead crystal decanters are lovely. The markings you thought is 72 could be a 1 and 2. I’ve noticed that on some pieces that are old they write the number 1 with a slight downward mark at the top of the number so it looks like he number 7. I would like to see you do a video as you research the Chinese vase. hopefully it is one of the and expensive ones.

The brown decanter is from Spain. You hold it up and pour wine into your mouth! A challenge for you!

The green glass set is from Murano, Venice from the glass works there. They are tourist pieces but sell well. I have 2 pieces in red.

The pink vase is Maltese. It is pronounced Marfa. I know because I’m Maltese and I have loads of them. Good luck with your selling 😊

In all the charity shops I go in, they always put the price labels over the makers mark on the bottom of the bric-a-brac stuff. Always! Annoys me so much 😂 they also sellotape the price labels down (which were stuck fine on their own so I don’t get it) and they do it on everything so books, comics, games etc where it tears when you take it off. I swear they do it purely to piss off resellers 😂 I could rant about charity shops all day long! 😂

Lovely selection of glass etc. the brown one is a wine glass that is a tradition in Spain to try to pour wine into your mouth from arms length. Google or RUclips it and see. Hope the makes sense
