it's interesting thoughts about acheron beeing a guide to distinguish ena's dream from reality (or non-ena's dream). However this does not explain a few things: why when we first met acheron she knows how to climb walls, but later, in the The Reverie (Dreamscape) she surpirsed that room is upside down. And what are those projection of future events and characters in the same location where we first time met acheron (like aventurine talks with ratio about 3 chips, sparkle and black swan talking about dance)

One could argue that Tingyun’s death was setup to make Robin and Firefly’s “death” more believable. Most HSR players navigated from Genshin and the most death that Genshin players have experienced were from characters who were either NPCs or were already dead (Focalors, Rukkhadevata, and Teppei). Having Tingyun die planted the idea in players minds that anyone could die, even playable characters. Unfortunate that Hoyo didn’t set it up well enough for her death to actually be meaningful. :/

I love tingyun, but i would prefer if they keep the only dead character on our side dead, especially since it set up a yukong story

After watching this I thought a bit and it kinda makes sense, it even gives Phantylia a valid motive for going after Tingyun specifically. Assuming Tingyun indeed does have some sort of borosin dna in her that piqued Ruan Mei's interest, then it's very likely that Phantylia knew about it too, probably through Danshin (forgot her name). If that were the case Phantylia targeted Tingyun not only because she would be a valuable way to sneak into the luofu, but being a foxian with borosin dna she could be useful for infiltrating the borosin as well. During the Trailblaze quest, it was mentioned that a foxian with nine tails appeared within the borosin and started corralling them into rescuing Hoolay. It was immediately agreed upon that the foxian is Phantylia. What if that form she used was Tingyun's form but in that moon rage state, or atleast some half between foxian and borosin that helped her gain the trust of the borosin? Since she's not only a heliobi but also an emanator, having the ability to copy not only Tingyun's normal form but her moon rage form may be within her powers.

ADDITIONAL NOTES (will add more if needed to address more questions): About Tingyun-disguised Phantylia. - If you go to see Fu Xuan at the Divination Commission after the 1.3 quest, she will tell you that the Tingyun the crew met since they arrived on the Luofu had always been Phantylia. She didn't know when the real Tingyun was replaced, where she could be right now, whether she was still alive--but she could say for certain that the one AE met had always been Phantylia. - Also, remember the Foxian Trailblaze continuance quest? There was a heliobi that took the form of Bailu, and then hung out with the real Bailu herself. So, yes, conjuring up an illusion of another living being is a thing that heliobis can do, too.

Your theory is very good overall, one thing you missed and it's so fundamental it makes me find it hard to believe your theory at large. Phantylia is a heliobus, a memetic lifeform that needs a living medium to realize its power. Yes Tingyun was a real, living, foxian in the luofu. Tingyun that met with the Express in the entirety of the luofu story was also the real Tingyun. Why? Because we (the players) see with our own eyes that Phantylia came out of Tingyun's body and that wasn't an illusion

The only way I could have accepted the false reality was if for example the explanation of the herta wasnt cancelling the simulated universe project the moment i heard that i went no way in heck would she ever even think that, Temporarily pausing it not To help penacony but to directly investigate the attempted resurrection of an Aeon and focusing the stimulated universe on penacony specifically Trying to simulate a world where that succeeded now that i can definitely see, but cancelling the simulated universe is something i can never see Herta doing and was the moment I went from this feels Sus to yep definitely sus

Several things I think they could've done with the story around Tingyun and the funeral. First and foremost, they should've had us meet her on another planet like, I don't know, Jarilo 6. Her ship's route was taking her pass that planet when the Stelleron also happened to affect her ship and she had to make an emergency landing there. At the same time, the Express also has to make the emergency stop because of the Stelleron and we meet up with her on our way to Belebog and just have that adventure with her. The cast and the player now got to know this character more and her funeral and doubts about her survival have more impact. And one thing I do gotta say. I am disappointed that Tingyun didn't survive on her own and come back with more power on her own or have the story with Yukong going out to find her to redeem her times in the war. No, it had to be the mary sue scientist who is gonna bring her back which kind of hurts character development for Tingyun and Yukong.

My interpretation of the Timeline, Unknown time before the express arrives in penacony, the dreamscape begins bleeding into reality and all of penacony begins falling apart, the dream master reacts to this by forming a plan to harness this dream and reality merging in a plan to revive the path of order as the power of harmony alone was never enough to make penacony Truely stable and the stelaron disaster that is penacony is becoming more and more unstable. Gopher wood adopts a pair of twins who fit his goals of taking control of the blending of dream and reality even if the bleed through is still minor and unnoticeable. One of the two is sent out to the world as a star to prepare her voice for the plan whilst the less suitable backup plan acts as one of the families heads and is presumably still given signing lessons and pretends to be indoctrinated into the orders followers, the reason they dont want someone aware of this when they're preforming the tainted charmony ritual is because if they're aware then they have the ability to control it as the leading voice. Sunday begins his plan to make everyday Sunday and make a world without eons even though he praises the order he doesn't wish to make the fallen aeon Alive again. Robin returns to penacony and notices the dissonance in the harmony. Somewhere round this time the express arrives by this point the blending is approaching a total collapse as dream and really completely merge Under the estimates of gopher wood the charmony festival is see to begin during this Perfect moment of collision with him planning to force Robin to sing as the dreams nature as a dream allows fallen paths to manifest through how they view the path, the penacony followers of order have a narrow viewpoint of order as absolute control and structure and as such that is all that manifests with all the order related things for example being making clockwork unusable as their emotions are locked into place. Phantylia is a Heliobus so I can't really imagine her wanting a fake, empty body with no benefits. She'd want the body's knowledge, memories and mannerisms for the infiltration and she might also want to feed on Tingyun's emotions like the rest of her kind. Meaning Tingyun should have been more useful to her alive for a while rather than leaving her corpse behind at a wreckage. She would at least need to spend time absorbing everything she needs from a living Tingyun before setting off to the Luofu. I also doubt the smoke would have posed a problem if Phantylia has such an iron grip on the body. If Tingyun's body was indeed left at the wreckage, then it might be possible that Phantylia left split embers of herself in it, which may be very relevant to Ruan Mei's interest(and will require containment). That said, you know who else seems to have an interest in the dead returning ? Sir Coffin Whisperer himself, Luocha who has a voiceline hinting that he's met Tingyun... but Tingyun(Phantylia) has a voiceline of her being confused that she doesn't have his records or remember such a businessman. Luocha like his other incarnation strikes me as a very 'rules-lawyer' kind of deception guy so if he says something it's probably at least right on a 'technically' level. I wouldn't be surprised if he has his fingers in even more events happening without him needing to get off his seat or people knowing he set it off.

The fact that the MC can see glimpse from the future, and at the end of the Penacony they hint that the MC and Acheron might know each other, and the Stellaron Hunters are the followers of Finality, it might be true that Elio saw the universe collapse and this is the timeline where they can prevent that to happen.

So if Black Swan joins the Express, Sunday will join the Hunters. Cute.

Ok but Kafka and Himeko are giving Marcelline and Princess Bubblegum vibes, very juicy similarity. Also gonna disagree, I think Firefly is actually March's counterpart, beside having similar design, March is a character that wants to know about her past, while Firefly looks forward to the future (literally and figuratively because she's part of elio's group)

Where I think this theory video stalls, even if the hypothesis (VA is a SH because he is Welt parallel, important to Elio and has a goal in mind that could be used by Elio as leverage) is taken as-is, at the most basic part: What does Void Archives provide to Elio as a strategic benefit that would necessitate him to be part of the Stellaron Hunters? Now since I so rudely poked a hole in the theory, allow me to patch it up in the same breath. But first, we need to visit the Xianzhou for a little bit, I promise this is going somewhere. The Matrix of Prescience Ultima (stay with me here) is an incredibly complex divination machine. Importantly, it uses information to CALCULATE the future based on: 📌information it is fed (space, time, cause&effect) + 📌the input of the diviner + 📌accounting for the fact that a calculation is happening. This results in accuracy to such an extent that it has convinced *Master Diviner Fu Xuan* that the future is INHERENTLY PREDETERMINED. Notice the pins I've slapped in there, we'll get back to them. Let's talk about the Stellaron Hunters as an organization. Their stated goal is to create a future where everything is the same, hopefully, except Nanook is the one who gets skill issue'd as a result of the great final battle. Taking into account what we know for sure the Stellaron Hunters do, factually, to ensure this future comes to be it becomes increasingly clear why Elio needs who he needs. - Elio needs Kafka to control variables subtly be it via mind control or assassination, so as to keep some factions quiet and out of the way. - Elio needs Blade because he is an IMMORTAL asset, something he can use as a nearly guaranteed Get-Out-of-Jail-Free Card, a key that unlocks any door. - Elio needs SAM/Firefly because of her sheer destructive power. If there is a mountain that needs moving to ensure a script goes right, SAM is sent in to burn it to a quarry. - Elio needs Silver Wolf not just to have a good PC built and an older sister to beat all the bosses for him, but also to hack in enough money and Aether Edit things into their favor, a trump card strategy when there's no other choice, like in HSS during the game's intro. Kafka alone couldn't finish the job, and brute-forcing anything on HSS risks compromising the future of the Trailblazer making it to the Astral Express. Silver Wolf has subtle and niche capabilities to solve issues none of the others can. And that "can solve issues none of the others can't" applies broadly to all of them. Blade can't mind control a pack of Borisin to go away, Firefly can't keep coming back from death to break Silver Wolf out of her IPC gay baby jail following a heated invasion of their server room because her accounts got binned, Silver Wolf... Well she's not really gonna be able to fight off a locust of Lesser Sting on her own like Firefly or Blade can. So we know their uses, the Stellaron Hunter Operatives are all Elio's "keys to power", individuals who receive "scripts", laundry lists of instructions (or in Firefly's case, singular directives) that Elio needs to be followed to the T in order to insure a positive outcome or favorable future. Let me briefly establish Elio here before I move on to my theory about VA. Elio is described to have "the ability/curse to foresee future possibilities." Elio, through some means, can see into the posible futures that may befall the universe. That however begs the question: How or why does Elio know that Nanook will win, and why is he even operating the SH if he knows the chances are miniscule? I'm making an educated speculation here, but: Put blatantly, Elio is using the SH Operatives to manipulate causality. He does this because his power isn't simply foresight of potential futures, I believe that Elio is the sole Emanator of Finality, and his power is based on PROBABILITY CALCULATION. He uses the Operatives to set up favorable cause & effect, manipulating chaos theory towards a better outcome that he can foresee thanks to the power provided by Terminus directly. The reason why I believe this is the power of Terminus (or maybe even just Nous, but Terminus makes more sense) helping is because Acheron, ACHERON OF ALL PEOPLE, is missing from his script. Acheron is directly stated to be immune to the influence and power of the Archons, and we even see this when she helps Welt sneak into Dewlight Pavillion, taking Sunday completely off guard having hidden them from the Harmony and also probably also Gopher Wood's mindful, everpresent Order. So, if Elio has all the means to manipulate cause & effect as is, why does he need VA in his roster? Let's look back at the Matrix of Prescience Ultima's conditions for accurate foresight: information related to the divination is fed in combined with the insight of the diviner and an extra instance of the calculation takes itself into account. This produces nearly 1:1 predictions, and concerns some diviners because they believe the act of observing the future so closely "locks fate" into that outcome. I believe Elio is lacking something the Matrix of Prescience Ultima has and desperately needs it for his plan, that being an "input". Think about it this way: The MoPU uses Time/Space/C&E to divine the future based on the diviner operating it, but add a third party and you get information extraction. I think VA isn't a Stellaron Hunter *right now* (2.4), but will BECOME one in the near future, and his role? He will be a source of information about Honkai energy and a new data source/pivot allowing Elio to narrow down potential futures and make more detailed scripts. Because remember, Void Archives IS an archive. In fact, tying back to HI3rd, (spoilers for A Post-Honkai Odyssey) it is outright a shard of Prometheus, a "Super AI" meant to store info about and predict oncoming Honkai assaults. This kind of data, even if potentially incomplete, is invaluable to Elio if my blind guess at the reality of VA's interest in this universe is right. I think Stellarons and their radiation are a form of Honkai, a shard of power stolen from the Finality. Potentially *HI3rd's Finality.* This gives VA reason to stick to the Stellaron Hunters like glue, because they're doing the same thing he's HARD CODED to do: Eliminate Honkai, at all costs. Even human costs. In summary: My hypothesis is that Elio is an emanator of Finality, his power works similar to the Matrix of Prescience Ultima by calculating variables through presently available data and collapsing chaos theory to reach broad strokes predictions for potential futures depending on how events in the universe pan out in the NEAR future. He sends out Operatives to influence current events and remove ALL stellarons in the interest of a future where Nanook is taken out. Known or unknown to the Stellaron Hunters (and possibly the HSR universe as a whole), the Stellarons are actually a manifestation of Honkai and Void Archives is programmed to despise them and seek their erasure from existence at all costs, lining up with how Elio and the Stellaron Hunters operate (see The Jepella Rebellion - Scene 47). VA agrees with their methods, and serves as a vital source of data about Stellarons, their behavior potentials and possible targets for Elio's data-based predictions. Hence, eventually VA *becomes* a Stellaron Hunter, just not an on-field operative. Bonus theories: - Elio isn't actually a cat, the cat is a puppet present for important missions as an emergency course correction apparatus. Elio needs data for how things went wrong in the moment to make them right again, so the cat is his "sensory proxy". - VA got kicked off the Astral Express because he wanted to destroy a Stellaron by *ramming the Astral Express* into it, almost succeeding and traumatizing everyone in it. He promptly gets chewed to shreds by Himeko and Pom-Pom and dips because "everyone here is a loser virgin anyway, see you around Joachim". - There's a good chance Luocha and VA have met, and my wild speculation is that Luocha used some aspect of VA's knowledge to manufacture the situation with the Ambrosial Arbour/Jingliu and that interrogation in the Shackling Prison. - The Trailblazer's limited choice in responses in universe can be described as Elio's meddling, or perhaps even that of Terminus, collapsing all the various possible dialogue choices a player might make into a handful of responses that all follow broad strokes of what the Trailblazer would potentially say in that moment, providing the player with the highest net variety of choice while constraining to the script. You. The player. Are following the script. *- At all times.*
