I wish more people knew this but Kenai is voiced by Joaquin Phoenix. Yes, the joker was also Kenai. He did Brother Bear not too long after he's older brother River Pheonix died of an OD in front of him. River had been sober for almost a year and out of LA too but the moment he came back he went to party at the Viper club and ended up using. He died on the sidewalk in front of the club with his 19 year little brother, Joaquin screaming at 911 for paramedics. I saw in an interview with the director that the first recording of Sitka's death was too much for a disney film and scrap that recording. I think about that whenever I think about this movie. You can actually find his 911 call on YT. Its heartbreaking

I was always amazed by Kenai & Koda's mum. She's a huge bear, and it's crazy that Kenai's first thought was to THROW A FREAKING STONE at her when his only weapon is a useless stick. These bears can even challenge men with shotguns 😮
