We have discussed lockers but we aren’t going into the diffs to only put lockers. The gladiator needs new gearing as well for the larger tires, but we don’t want to put 5.38 gears in the factory diffs either. So that is why it still doesn’t have lockers

The topper was purchased with the inner support structure in there from the factory. This topper is the ARE CX HD model. The way it is mounted on the inside appears it can be added after the fact. We get this kinds of stuff through American Topper & Accessories here in Iowa. You can always call and ask them, they are super nice and very knowledge 515-265-4467

How do you fix caster on a brand new stock Jeep with death wobble?

@DirtRockTeam replace the caster bushings with 3.5 degree positive bushings you can get the from Napa, check any front end parts first also tires and track bar bushings the positive camber will re-enter the steering wheel faster after turns also make the center axis of the front wheels more forward like they were before engineers ,you will then have to get the front end aligned changed them

@@tomking5822 this is the information I am going to give the next JL/JT owner who complains their brand new completely stock Jeep with less than 1,000 miles has death wobble and sen them your way to fix it.

That’s a great question. Sadly we haven’t done any “preventative” maintenance outside of using mobile 1 oil with K&N oil filters and doing the oil changes at 5,000. We have owned 3 vehicles with 6.4s, the challenger was sold 2 years ago and then we turned around and threw a 6.4 non MDS motor in the white wrangler. The problem is we didn’t know there was any steps one could take to help alleviate the infamous Hemi lifter tick util the Hemi swap was almost complete on the wrangler. When the tick comes about we will have to do the whole repair as well as upgrading the oil pumps. Melling makes an even higher pressure oil pump over the factory hellcat oil pump for the Hemis. The lack of overall oil pressure long term is what is the main issue causing the lifter failure. The power wagon has 50,990 miles on it and the 6.4 in the wrangler has 20,000 The best advice I heard was to not let the Hemis idle for too long. Anytime we are the trails and we are going to be sitting for longer than 5 minutes the vehicle gets shut off. Using a quality brand oil & oil filter like mobile 1. And not letting the intervals on the oil changes go to far past where it should be changed. Otherwise it is just a matter of time before it happens on every Hemi

Most of my problems with them probably is from the front axle I have. It’s a fusion 60/44 hybrid so everything from the inner Cs to the center section is actually a 60. Even the RCVs are custom for this axle. The inner Cs are 44 sized for the balljoints but are much thicker overall. We had a hard time getting the deletes installed because of how much thicker the inner Cs actually are

@@DirtRockTeam Was wondering about that. I see clearly that it's a Dana 60 housing, but the inner-Cs are different and you've got the control arm mounting point on top of the carrier. Most 1-Ton swaps I've seen use a truss for the control arms and they usually have to go with the outboard components from something that will fit the donor. I guess with the D44 inner-C and custom RCVs, you can keep your factory knuckles, bearings, brakes, etc. The Inner-C/Ball joint was the weak point for me. I don't do any crazy wheeling, but the rocks and rough trails out west wear stuff out fast. I got tired of replacing ball joints every 2 years - not to mention there are a finite number of times you can do that before the C's are done. Hope the swap back to ball joints works out!

Ahhh thanks!!! We keep going back & forth on which kind of pop up awning to go with now. Looked at gazelle’s portable gazebos but they spendy. Looked at some at bomgaars and sportsman. Either way we need a new one now 🤣

Yes, but we did mainly for the control arms to flex more over the factory ones.

There were a handful we wouldn’t have crossed if the other Jeep wasn’t with us. We didn’t know the lines or what the normal water levels were. And yes that’s part of the reason why we end up down there for Rendezvous in the Ozarks every October

Stop for gas more often lol. We have been coming out to this area for 4 years & kept tabs with way points on where fuel is available & what octane is at each station with OnX off road.

We keep telling him people like seeing him. That’s why he is in the thumbnails recently because he wanted to be 🥰

The power wagon isn’t doing any extreme obstacles. The park where this was shot doesn’t offer anything difficult enough for anything other than a side by side that would warrant the need for the hitch to be removed. If the power wagon ever makes it out to SMORR, Hot Springs, or back to Rush Springs Ranch then the hitch will not be on there
