Flamingo dance Navi Mumbai
Lesser flamingos visit coastline of Mumbai mainly to exploit the food (algae) available in vast mudflats of creeks. During their stay between September to June, they frequent the exposed sea mudflats and during high tide they come to rest to in-land water bodies which are vanishing at a alarming rapid rate. Around March April they aquire breeding plumage and they display their dancing rituals. Here are some of the moments captured during their such display.

A short two days , in fact one and half day, tour to Ajmer Rajasthan with Nature India Tours Group yielded very fruitful sightings of grasslands birds, and the endangered "Lesser Florican". What gear you were using for this trip ?
Nikon D750+500 mm f4 lens
Did you do this solo or with a group?
I did solo visits to the sattal lake nearby streams in jungle (google location 29.352444795949612, 79.52634103609572)...and met a guide who took me to his bird hide near sattal ashram ..
@@rkbagul Thanks Ritesh. I was given a quote of Rs 24000 for a group bird watching tour. Not questioning thei intentions, but it's not worth it if we can cover so many bird species by hiring a local guide as you did🙂
@@9811023360 I accidentally met a guide, and guides do charge for their services...in peak season most of the guides are already booked.
@@rkbagul Noted 🙂🙂
