If you leave out a 5 minute test drive on tarmac....

It was my first ride with them, nothing special. Sand is soft and lots of zigzag sand ruts. That tire combo amazed me, very good traction. Can't go over 50km/h due to suspension packing up / bottoming.
One hour adventures... doooh!

Where is the 660?😢
@@Mopedwerk XT is great bike but I needed more offroad oriented bike. Getting better suspension for XT would had cost me 2000€ atleast. It would still be heavy and lack power.

Hi, good evening. I got some questions that i would like to ask you regarding the Xt660R, as i'm looking up to buy one: I noticed that you had change the exhaust config, to a singular exhasut. Did you find real diference in off-road /enduro, on the weight and performance wise? And wich changes did you make in that bike? Because she is looking pretty good!! Keep the awsome videos, as the awsome rinding!
Hello! 2-1 Dominator exhaust. Gives about 6cm extra ground clearence and is 7kg lighter if I remember correctly. I installed GPS holder which I removed for this race. Rear hyperpro spring and thats it. For offroad ground clearence is a must have. Massive difference.
@ I saw in other videos the GPS holder! Very nice man! Keep up!

those big heavy tanks are just road bikes with knobby tyres
@@thelonewolf666 Its like calling all FWD SUVs as cars. Yes they don't have 4x4 but that doesnt make them worse for most people who simply need bigger tires and ground clearence. Those tanks are very capable for everything. Yes they are not as fast and easy to drive as enduro bikes. But enduro bikes are boring as hell in those conditions. I drove 110kg 2 strokers for 6 years. I have more fun and more fun exploring around than I had with 2T
Какая резина марка, модель?)
How would you compare the XT with T7s in such terrain? Does the single cylinder and lower weight help? The power surely isn’t an issue in such clay/mud. Could you give your opinion? I’m seriously considering getting an XT660R for such rides
Hey! Didn't notice the notification before. It all comes to the price. XT is about 3k €. T7 is 9-12k €. For that money you will get new style, better suspension and more power. For slow offroad XT is much better and easier to ride. T7 has too much power. In this video XT has tire advantage but when we had same tires, XT was easier. XT main problem is rear shock that limits fast riding. And front needs some tuning aswell. Mine is stock except for rear spring(it helps but Im going to spend 550€ for rear Hyperpro shock and front springs). If you do not have a bike yet Id reccomend the CFmoto 450MT. It has better adjustable suspension. Better usable rev range(With XT you need to change gears a lot more compared to twin cylinder). Also 450mt costs ~6k. XT+suspension mods=4-5k. XT has more feelable punch but overall they both accelerate the same. I already have XT and there is no point to change for 450MT. ALso CFmoto has almost 0 vibrations.
Adventure? 😮
вот это драйв!
No aga kirjuta siis ka, kuidas tundus? See liivane rada metsas on Pärnu lähedal kust Tet ka läbi läheb? Tundus tuttav koht.
:D Varuosad on odavad. Plastikud odavad(ostmiseks). Kogu pill oli täiesti nö solid. Ei nagise, ei olnud lahtiseid plastikuid. Kõik oli väga hästi kokku pandud. Kiidan! Kas ma ise vahetan välja selle vastu... Selle üle pean mõtlema. Positiivset on palju, kuid kas oma ratta müügiga saan nii ligidale, et ei peaks nii palju juurde maksma.
I test drove one recently but not off-road. Did you like it? Compared to the xt 660?
@@georgiosphilos2146 It has great engine. It doesnt have that "punch" like XT has but it accelerates quick. Suspension is better than XT but not as good as I expected(stock settings). Also my test was too short to give any real feedback. It 100% is better than XT because USD, settings adjustable. Better suspension=riding faster but that means you attack bumps at faster speed and the suspension still feels bad. :D Everything feels great, it has good quality. Rev range makes it better to ride without constanly changing gears like I must do on XT. No vibrations. XT is like a 2 stroke.
@@mudaamoob Regarding the low end power, I immediately realized that during my short test drive. However the engine is super smooth as being a 2 cylinder engine. Also, it feels much lighter than the xt. It might be that the seat is very low compared to the xt. Anyways, I had thoughts to buy one and sell the xt but i am not sure if the Mt is really an upgrade, especially regarding reliability. I mean these bikes are fairly new and we can't judge the quality. The xt is bulletproof.
@@georgiosphilos2146 It was really smooth indeed. They give 3 year warranty without distance limit here. Im 184cm and the seat is too short for me. I would need taller seat(even XT seat could be bit higher). Im not sure either. Its somewhat upgrade but is it really worth it over XT if I have to put about 2-3k € more into purchase price

How is the t7 compared to the xt 660 R?
Well..Ive only ridden it once. It for sure is better at most aspects but also bad in some. Too much power for snotty terrain. It revs up fast and looses traction fast. So it must have better offroad tires compared to XT low grunt. XT is much easier to ride in technical terrain because low end power. T7 has less vibration, better suspension out of the box. You can get XT suspenion better but Im not going to do that. I see no point in it. I find it fast enough for my riding style and going faster = much more chance to crash and brake your bike and yourself. Im riding 50-70km/h in the woods. If its bumpy then the suspension is bad, it can't take multiple hits without packing down. I find the rear shock as the culprit. Its too bad and with luggage it bottoms out. ~400-700€ investment will make it really great. Mines stock except for rear spring that I changed for progressive(hyperpro). T7 has more power. If you do alot of tarmac riding and driving 120-130km/h stretches then T7 is better. 2 person riding= t7 better. But XT costs about 3k while tenere is 9-12k€. I do not find T7 so much better for me to waste extra 6k €.
Thanks mate for the answer. I also didn't have the chance yet to drive a T7, however I once gave my xt 660 R to a friend who owns a T7. He tried out it in dirt and liked it a lot. I have modified quite a lot of stuff. Suspension wise, I use ohlins springs in front and 15w oil and preload adjustment. In the rear I have fitted a YSS shock. It transforms the bike.
I've been watching your videos a lot recently... made me sell my bike today and tomorrow I am going to buy my first xt660r to spice up my motovlog. Keep up the good work!

Aliexpress DB killer sounds very good. I would also appreciate a link to the product.
I do not know the exact product because I got the aliexpress one with the bike. I bought the dominator DB killer. But id say its a generic one that they sell there.
Have you modified the suspension? Very good ride.
Only changed the rear spring for Hyperpro one. Have to adapt to the weight and ride the bike different compared to lighter/better suspension bikes.
Thanks for the quick reply. is the current xt660r your only motorcycle? Are you planning to switch to Yamaha T700?
@Motoadvenduro my only one indeed. No time and money to ride both. I do not plan to change for many years. XT offers more fun for the money. We can ride only for average 7 months per year, I do not see it reasonable to pay over 10k eur for a motorcycle. XT is better at technical offroad sections.
I'm in the same situation. thanks again for the answer, I subscribed. Your driving is very good to watch. Don't stop [fire] I'm waiting for more. Regards .
