BETTER Ant LED's ⚡ Chaser Light Strip Pattern ⚡ WS2812b Arduino Nano FastLED
I made the Ant LED chaser lights better! The WS2812b FastLED light strip pattern can now move forwards and backwards down the light strip with a button press. The Arduino Nano code is more adaptable as well, allowing asymmetric patterns and many different colors of chaser ant caterpillar choo choo train lights with just a few easy changes.

    Got a 2022 gaming laptop Medion eraser. If I reset the CMOs, it ends up working again until I press shut down. Once I shut the laptop down the laptop no longer turns back on. If I again re-connect the CMOs the laptop decides to boot up again and work fine. You reckon replacing or even getting rid of the CMOs would resolve the issue?

    Hi, I may be a few years too late but I'm dealing with something similar. My lower end custom gaming pc has been having the problem of not turning on the next day. The pc tower would turn on fine but my mouse, keyboard, and tv wouldn't power on. Has happened twice as of now. It did it again today and I didn't touch anything else but the cmos. I pulled it out and put it back in after 10-15 min and it came back on. I haven't changed the battery out yet as I'm unsure what is fully going on. Any advice? I can't keep 'bandaid'ing my problem. I need to figure out what's going on. I'm typing this on said PC after doing that haha.

      You already replaced the CMOS battery with a new one? There’s a long list of things that could cause that if it’s not the battery, but the next things I’d try is reseating RAM and graphics and then try a new power supply. If you are able to test the power supply, I’d check the 5V output.

      FastLED doesn’t play well with other libraries on the same device. If I were trying to do something like that, I would dedicate a board just to run FastLED and run everything else on a separate board, then set them up to communicate with each other as simply as possible - even just using simple I/O if I can get away with it instead of actual communication like I2C or UART.

    I know that it only takes 12voltw for abcar battery to start. My car battery is 14.2 volts, all the jump starter packs that ive found online are 12 volts, the difference between them is the amperage. Would the 1200A be the same as the 4000A since its the same voltage? Would those jump starters be good enough for my car battery in the first place?

    • @LifeMeetLightning
      @LifeMeetLightning 8 месяцев назад

      The short answer is no, they are not suitable to replace your car battery. Those high numbers you are seeing on those jumper packs are peak amperage. Peak amperage is unregulated and says nothing about how long those packs can sustain that current or at what temperature range it was tested like normal car batteries are rated. It's kind of a dubious marketing ploy.

    • @LifeMeetLightning
      @LifeMeetLightning 8 месяцев назад

      If your car battery was 14.2 volts, you probably measured either while it was running - alternator voltage - or right after it had been charged or driven for awhile - surface charge. You can get rid of surface charge for an accurate reading by turning your headlights on briefly or otherwise applying a significant load to it. Normal charged battery voltage is around 12.5 to 12.8 volts. You might be surprised to know that most Li-ion jumper packs are around 16 to 17 volts open circuit (they still market them as 12V because car batteries are 12V). The voltage drops a bit when loaded i.e. hooked up to a car battery.

    • @LifeMeetLightning
      @LifeMeetLightning 8 месяцев назад

      And yes, for a normal car, 1200A or 4000A, doesn't really matter. The 4000A would most likely give you a few extra jumpstarts before being completely depleted, and might work a little better on larger vehicles like trucks that have a higher current draw when starting.

  • @twhite19782012
    @twhite19782012 8 месяцев назад
