Zach Hadel plagiarizing compilation (OneyPlays)
Просмотров 361 тыс.8 месяцев назад
zach hadel is a notorious thief and plagiarizer, he even has the gumption (ˈɡəm(p)SH(ə)n/ - shrewd or spirited initiative and resourcefulness) to steal from his best friends milliseconds after they've spoken sorry this is kind of a tiny comp, it's very specific and couldn't find a ton of examples of this but it's always tickled me (metaphorically) also DO NOT notice the massive flixier watermar...
Zach's hypothetical includes the fattest guy ever

If this were to actually happen, your only reasonably option would be to take him to a hospital at that point, because you have no way of knowing if someone saw you take him or if you were caught on camera at the gas station. Because even if he wanted to kill you, he's defenseless and no longer a threat in the moment, which means you can't legally kill him, and you don't know if his disappearance will be traced to you because you kidnapped him.

One of the funniest parts is you don't even know if this person is the same person who wants to kill you. I'm sure the computer gives you a picture of what he looks like, but what if this person just looks like him.

I'll try to actually answer the question that I think Chris was trying to ask: The main idea of the scenario appears to be that your actions would normally be considered immoral (killing a random person for seemingly no reason) but there is some piece of information you have access to which could justify your actions. (The knowledge that said stranger would definitely kill you if they saw you). The issues come in when your action alters the outcome of the scenario. Zach offered the idea of saving your potential murderer because once they've become unconscious, they're drowning. Your action would cause them to be saved, which we would normally consider to be good. However, our extra bit of info completely changes the context. If Chris's idea of your actions CAUSING the murderer's death is the scenario, then what would normally be considered an evil action could become justifiable with the extra information. The main idea that Chris was trying to express is that contextual information can completely change the expected outcome of a situation and could force you to approach a seemingly simple situation completely differently.

If i had a nickle for every time Chris proposed a morality-based hypothetical that ended up devolving into madness because he structured it poorly, and he then came back in another episode and devolved *that* into madness with a revised framing of the hypothetical, purely because he didn't get the answers he wanted because Chris is really bad at starting a hypothetical from an assumption or desired outcome and working backwards from there, I'd have two nickles. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it's happened twice, right?

How about the hypothetical is simplified to the supercomputer (that you have absolute trust in) presents you with the names and live feed of all the people who intend/want to kill you, then it presents you with a big red button that if pressed will kill them all. Since it's a supercomputer, it sends a T-1000 Terminator after them. Do you press the button? If you want it harder, the people who show up on the feed aren't people who want to kill you but are just people that the supercomputer has algorithmically determined have extremely high likelihoods (lets say above 90% chance) of killing you. For example, it found people who live in your area that often drive blind drunk around the time you go for a walk.
