This is the Shadwick family 1978 Hallet 'Jet Sprint' Jet boat with original metalflake and Berkeley 12JG Jet unit. It has a 410 ci Big Block Chevy motor with an 8-71 Blower Shop Supercharger and our own SC500pb-hl enclosed carb 6-71 blower scoop manufactured by Als Blower Drives in New Zealand. No we don't want to hear your lame music choice. Wake up. We're here for the boat, not your musical choice. Its pathetic that people feel the need to add music to everything. No matter what music you choose a large percentage of the population will hate it so solve the problem by eliminating music entirely. You don't need it. And in the next video, IGNORE the camera. Its so cringey when people have to give the thumb's up and wave. You want the camera to be unobtrusive. To capture the moment in its uniqueness. The second someone acknowledges the camera everything is ruined.

This is a 19 ft Hallett Bubble Deck Jet Boat. I used 2 build them many yrs ago. 17 ft Hustler & 18 mini cruiser. All fabulous jet boats
It’s actually a 19’6” Hallett Sprint Deck, not a bubble deck. You’re right, they were the best of them all. Quality style and ride
@@sammendoza7168 I used 2 build the 19 ft "mini cruiser" & 17.6ft hustler both by Hallet . The mini cruiser is a sensational jet boat ... a few here in Australia were fitted out as V-drives . And the hustler spun on a dime & danced on top of the water . ❤'ed 'em both .

@@dieselpower5303 No it isn't, it is blower surge, a lumpy cam lopes. The cam is pretty mild. Stick with your diesel cam specs.

All Bark, No Bite! If this was a prop boat it would be fast, being it’s a jet boat , 500 wasted horse power! I could out run this boat with my Bullet Bass boat 225 mercury racing engine! Easily! That’s why when you see and here a jet boat it’s only doing 55 to 70 Mph! It sounds like it’s doing 85 to 110, but it’s not, people that know boats know this!

You are absolutely correct! BUT, I have built a big block for a jet boat and the customer knew full well that it's all sound and no pound! It was all about the awe effect and the raw sound and torque

He's on a volcanic crater lake. Max depth is 287ft. Long way to suck up rocks, besides which jet units have screens on the intake.
Just don't turn sharp, words to live by literally.
I rode in the same set up in the mid 90's on Lake Tapps Washington USA it was a thrilling experience.
