When you say you'd love to try other builds - you'll eventually have that chance to re-spec. Unless I missed something in your playthrough, I am not sure if you can do it quite yet. That golden halberd you got from the Tree Sentinel, I have an entire Faith playthrough going where I not only use his weapon, I'm dressed in his armor too. It can be a fun weapon, especially on horseback, it has some nice reach to it. The Tree Sentinel may be an ass, but he for sure looks cool.

Hi Kelsey! I don't know if you know it, but spirit summons are upgradable. Do you remember the red hood girl, Roderika at Stormhill Shack? You told you like her.. Wrll, now she should be at the Roundtable Hold, and after you did all the talks with her, and the blacksmith (..about each other), then she can upgrade the spirits for you 10 times per spirit ash. You need "grave glovewort" plants for this. You can usually find them down in catacombs, Ainsel River, etc.

A tip for Merchants: when looking at cookbooks in a merchant's inventory, you can switch the middle display pane to show what crafting the cookbook teaches before you buy it.

As for the Carian Study Hall's other mysterious thing, I also tried to target the "button" on the underside of that central structure with various ranged attacks, to no avail. Kind of frustrating. (But I did get back there later.) And Well Done setting up the Wondrous Physick and finding the Parkour option to Solve the Riddle! Good times. Take care!

Good job finding the hidden path into Liurnia without going through Stormveil! You are doing great. Just one non-spoiler quality of life hint, you can upgrade your weapons and shields, and do more damage in fights. Other than that....you could honestly beat the game with that weapon and shield combo you're using now. Lots of people love that weapon (I kinda do, too)

You're doing well, but I have never seen a RUclips Player so incurious about all the items they pick up. Check your inventory, fer gawd's sake! This game is (deliberately) confusing but you are doing yourself no favours by failing to read and trying to understand the item descriptions. Yes, play the game goes you want to, but why handicap yourself?

now that i'm watching the rest of the video, maybe you should watch VaatiVidya's Beginner's guide to Elden Ring, it shows that maybe having two of the same weapon can also be interesting (or at least 2 of the same type of weapon) and things like the two-handling you've seen 🤣

You're doing well, Kelsey! Rolie Polie Olie would be great at Elden Ring...for melee characters, dodging TOWARD danger is advisable because dodging away from it takes you out of melee range. Yes, you can look through old information cards and maps you have previously found! More specific answers to your questions: Yes, you need a crafting kit. Talisman slots are in the Equipment menu, below your weapons and armor. The golden confetti increases your rune acquisition; it happens naturally sometimes, but you can also eat a gold-pickled fowl foot to make it happen. You can mix a flask of wondrous physick at sites of grace. You two-hand your right/left weapon like this: △ + R1/L1.

Thank you, Kelsey, that was so much good exploring and a lot of fun! Two quick suggestions: For this magic tower especially, go to your Equipment Page and put a special Talisman (you know, the Blue one that's useful vs Magic Damage) in the empty spot right below the place for Helmets. The same way you'd Equip "Pants" you can also Equip Talismans. The other thing is Item Crafting, using a Crafting Kit and the Item Crafting option on the Main Menu. For fighting Godrick's Fire attack, there's an item you can make yourself IF you have Rowa Fruit, Beast Liver [if you don't mind killing some Sheep], and Smoldering Butterfly. Also stuff for Healing Poison, and other things. And I'm glad you found the (square) button for Item Descriptions, useful for so many things! ("The Beast Eye Quivers": your reaction was priceless!) you should upgrade your sword

Don't take it as an order but, quick tip about the weapons because I almost had a heart attack watching you selling them: don't sell the weapon when you have only 1 of it. You'll not find that anchor you sold for 200 runes in this playthrough again, that weapon was unique 😭. It's better to store the item at the grace if you want to free your inventory. This tip also works for your clothes/armor. But it's ok to sell if you have a lot, you probably got them by killing a lot of the same enemy Besides that, it has been very fun to watch your Elden Ring playthrough \o/

😂 Unfortunately if you dont get rid of the heavy loot or armour they could contribute to your being overencumbered and contribute to your fat rolling fast enough. On the other hand if you do get rid of the lower levelled shields and other boots youve got in there, you could safely equip a helmet.

Remember to say hello to the spirits for the little 'un of the shack down below stormhill whom ppl came far and wide to help but ended up getting their limbs, heads ripped and grafted. Instead of staying at the stormveil castle since you are at an impasse, you can go explore other areas of the lands between. Maybe you could try to get blaidd down now😂 Another thing you'll come to learn if you haven't noticed already is, in these games if you focus on levelling up faster instead of dying, You'll be quite overpowered for most daunting boss fights to come. Gives me so much joy watching someone experience Elden Ring for the first time! Here is a few tips and tricks that i hope is helpful and spoilerfree 1) ash of war is your weapons special attack. I think the keybind is F. You can check your keybinds to make sure tho 2) often you can combo your ash of war doing a heavy attack right after 3) you can change the ash of war on your weapon by talking to the smith at roundtable hold 4) Weapons that require somber smithing stone to upgrade cant change ash of war 5) Upgrading your weapon when you have sufficient smithing stone is just as important(if not more) as leveling. 6) If you want; Two-handing your weapon instead of shield gives a strength bonus and is often preferred over using a shield in many peoples playthrough. 7) if you still wanna use shield; You will always use the shield's ash of war instead of your weapon's. Unless the shield doesnt have any ash of war. Hope this helps!
