Mama by Billy Corgan from "If All Goes Wrong DVD"
after that he became a passport bro
Minutes after her potential partner ignores her, they are all boasting about their travelling. The dad says that they had earned so much in Australia, that he could just be a rich tourist visiting all these exotic countries in luxury. Mary has actually properly worked (unlike any of them) on a Greek island, managing a bar, but they dismiss her as a "cocktail waitress". We have all been there. It was the saddest ending to a film I had ever seen and it stuck with me for months and months. Mike Leigh is brilliant at capturing these tiny tell-tale moments in life.
It's clear he wasn't financially good enough for her and his drinking problems, he could have tried to be better but he didn't had the inspiration. Dean was bad but sandy was selfish too
This was the most heartbreaking scene ever... it just rips your heart.
Hey! This is one of my favorite shots in cinema
Wow. Just WOW. What a devastating scene. I've read reviews of this movie, by professional critics and by regular joes, and some said that the couple played by Williams and Gosling aren't all that likable. Well, yes. I mean, they're not supposed to be all that likable; they're on the brink of divorce, after however many years of a shotgun marriage. What makes this movie so good is that, despite their characters not being all that likable, they still manage to break your heart.
Crazy I watched this movie back when I was 16 and now I’m 25 and I have 2 year old daughter and this scene kills me every time because this is how my relationship ended almost 2 years ago
De los mejores finales que vi en mi puta vida
Me rompe el corazon
Man… the daughter’s innocence, not knowing why her father is walking away, but knowing that something is wrong, begging him to stay. Dean walking away in silence as the fireworks go off, that joyful sound is now tainted. Cindy comforting her daughter as she says “I love him” knowing that she did too at one point. It’s all over. This shit is heart breaking. Two people who spent years trying to build a life together, but it all came crashing down. It leaves a bitter sweet taste in your mouth, it’s beautiful at first, and sad at the end, confusing in general.
This scene absolutely ripped me to shreds.
So powerful
Literally me
I don't usually sob with movies but this one...
Thanks please subscribe to my channel
I just can't get behind cindy's character at all her acting like she's living in h.e double hockey sticks for being with a run down husband and a kid who both love her, instead of lifting him up she makes it clear to him that she doesn't love him then she indulges her old flame and gets surprised when he snaps at her talking to the person that beat him up. A guy who wants a simple normal life would clearly go insane under those conditions she makes no effort to be there for the kid she is very selfish, but I don't blame her for the divorce after the hospital freak out
ああお胸がいたい。二度と見たくない、でも無ショアに見たくなる
I wonder if he kicked anyone's fireworks over while he was walking down the sidewalk?
I’ve lived this. Its sucks
This movie should be banned. Erased from the history of humankind. Cruel heartless and inhumane.
Do you think every movie should be all sunshine and butterflies?
@@alexbrettw maybe not. But this was worse than 100 days of sodom
Another career opportunity.
Dean is me and I am Dean.
Hang in there, brother.
With the equally wonderful Amy Ryan. ❤
Both these actors really delivered on this one of my favorites
One of the saddest endings ever. Idk if I've ever felt as bad for a character as I did Ryan's in this.
This movie came out the very year my parents divorced. As soon as the daughter starts crying when she sees her father walk away is when the waterworks just burst for me. I couldn’t even stop thinking of this film for quite a few days after watching it
Diyalogların gücü, müziğin kalitesi, flash back'ler vs.. kesinlikle en sevdiğim filmdir
nice work
That walk man, that god damn walk, i remember every step i took when this happened to me
It's a perfect ending-a heartbroken child desperately trying to keep her family together. It's not her job, it's not her responsibility, and yet still she tries. It exposes so well the selfishness of most divorces, the utter self-centerdness so many adults exhibit when they destroy their families and ruin their childrens' lives. Very raw, very real movie.
In this case, I think it was best for Frankie in the long run. It wouldn't be healthy to watch your parents hate each other for the next 18 years of life. It's not a good example, and it can cause the child a lot of mental troubles as they develop. It's a lesser of two evils. Also, if they stayed together, the mental health of the parents would just continue to deteriorate and would also negatively affect the upbringing of Frankie. She is definitely better off with her parents' split, based on this fictional but very real situation.
@@carloscruz2918You’re right. It’s not healthy for a child to be around parents who hate each other and spend most of their time arguing.
As someone who’s parents stayed in a loveless marriage until I went to college and they now can’t stand each other, I say it’s better for the kids for them to divorce sooner than later
MELANCHOLY 😥
If you like Alex Turner check out Ted Duchamp - Lazy Dog
пересмотрел концовку в сотый раз, мне физически больно смотреть на это расставание, потому что все рассказывается слишком правдоподобно, хоть и через одну сцену!
I feel so bad for all the real life deans. They love women who never deserved their love..
Daily reminder: There's absolutely not a single woman in the world respects a man who respect them Even if she likes him, the moment she realize this man cares about her, she'll lose interest.. Only scums and assholes can get women's love and respect
WRONG!
And this why you’re a lonely fucking loser. You’re wrong dude. You’re a miserable asshole with a bad attitude and that’s why people don’t like you. And it’s not just women believe me.
incel alert
Found the incel.
You are far from Truth. May your God show you the light 🙏
she is not a one person loving character..she shifts her from person to person..dean was her 25th or something sex partner
he should have left this bitch at first place ruining his life
They say it’s up for the viewer to decide whether Dean and Cindy divorce or not. Do you think they divorced?
I hope they worked things out and didn't get a divorce, I've been through a divorce it hurts
One other thing there was no emotion when he was walking away that says alot
My girl cried and hugged me after this scene. I felt as if I did something wrong even though I didn't and kept on apologizing, we both then cried... Amazing how a movie can make you feel
The ending is like Apocolypse Now ... but the war is in their hearts . 🖤
The best Actres of 2010 . Legendary
This movie is soo great. It teaches a great lesson. Sometimes loving is not enough. Love isn't everything. Sometimes two people may love each other to death but still can't stay happily together. Happiness matters. Whether it's being together or not.
he should have left her after she got pregnant. I can't feel bad for a fool.
What a beautiful scene/performance. Surely she got some award for this, right???
Mary, portreyed by Lesley Manville, is one of my favorite female characters in a history of Cinema.
I get the feeling that this was done infront of a live studio audience. Maybe it's the camera angles. It doesn't feel like two people in a room. Maybe it's the acoustics of the room. The sound sounds more open, like how it would sound on a film set, instead of a house.
It's still a knock out film ......and LIFE
am I the only one who sees a Jared Goff in dean? like dam they some twins or something.
Derek Cianfrance is a master storyteller. The fact he spent 10 years trying to get this film made and ultimately was not paid to make it makes him an absolute legend. It’s not 10 year marketing BS like other directors say. It was 10 hard years of trying to find financing and getting the actors.
It's definitely a better film than "Marriage Story"
@@LordGreystoke that’s exactly what I say when people say Marriage Story is a good movie…
What a beautiful movie (in the most heart-reaching of ways)
How in god's name did Lesley Manville NOT get an Oscar nomination? This scene alone is worthy of it..her final reactions! This is an acting legend at the top of her game..
Did he come back
Nope
