Even at this time, it's a very worthwhile experiment for gamers looking to buy low- to mid-range parts used.
Can you show the tutorial or tunning section about what setting did you do to your rx6600?
40% more power consumption than Series X even after undervolt.
the comparison that i need, im upgrading to a higher processor with rx5600xt, im thinking that maybe the ryzen 5 2600 is enough. then this video came, turns out the 2600 is enough for rz5600xt. i just wished there is red dead redemption 2 in here or genshin and god of war. thank for the vid
Hi its real power consumtion ???
@@IjanMahqina-g4e Yes. System was plugged in a kill a watt to measure power draw.
@@useyour_pc8246 Can you help me show if the min frequency is 700 and max 2700mhz with a voltage of 1100mv, is it undervolt and how much power consumption is reduced? sorry because I don't have measuring tools and I just tested and it is better than stock
дружище, у тебя в большинстве игр система упирается в видеокарту.. Как так можно снимать сравнение процессоров??
A lot of footage here is GPU bottlenecked, which is not ideal since we are comparing the performance of CPUs.
+1 Subscribe, i have a RX 6600 MSI armor and your uv settings work for me, 50w less is good enough for me
You're bottlenecked by your GPU unfortunately, I'm sorry but this test isn't really relevant, except to demonstrate what a bottleneck is.
Yes, it's gpu bottlenecked. But remember this test was done when the ryzen 5600 first dropped its price and newer gpus were very expensive due to shortage and gpu mining. There were a lot of ryzen 2600 users back then who are using previous gen/older gpus. This test shows if its worth upgrading to a 5600 from a 2600 even when using a weaker gpu. Not all users with low/midrange system specs are capable of pairing it with a 3090 to show the true gap between this cpus.
@@useyour_pc8246 do you think you could add this context in the title or the description? Because I'm sure it could confuse some beginners out there
@@a_d_z_y__ beginners have no use for gpu and cpu benchmarking. This is actually more useful to beginners.
@@CL-jq1xs as the CPU is bottlenecking the GPU, the benchmarks here serve no real purpose of comparison between 2 GPU (which is the whole point of a benchmark), as the result is inherently biased.
@@a_d_z_y__ people don't pair a r5 2600 with a rtx4090 in reality. People also don't make upgrade from a r5 2600 to r5 5600 with a rtx4090 as well. Why would that info be useful to most people who are never going to pair a CPU and GPU with such a difference in price category in the first place? This type of benchmark is more useful for people in general.
hello how are you, one question bro, for undervolt who is your setting i have min 2390 - max 2541, you have touch the VRAM ? i preset 1760 but i dont know if you touch something more, my hotspot is on fire, i hope the undervolt help me a little, thx
I didn't overclocked the vram. What's your hotspot temp? 90c is normal temp if your ambient temp is also high.
@@useyour_pc8246 Is this a normal temp for my rx 6600 xfx gpu? Gpu main temp 58 deg while the hot spot temp is 77-81 deg while playing ff7 remake.
Muy buen video, de los pocos y unicos canales que muestran el consumo real de energia. Me gusto mucho el video Gracias, like + sub
Научись делать тесты.Тестируешь процессор по названию,а по факту видеокарту.Бред полный.
amazing comparison!
This is a gpu benchmark bot a cpu, in most of the games gpu was on 99% so it was slowing down the cpu
CSGO is relevant tho. It's very heavy on the CPU and does not care much about the GPU.
this is a useful benchmark not a benchmark for unrealistic situations such as the pairing r5 2600 with rtx 4090 which is pointless info to almost every users
@@CL-jq1xs It is not about unrealistic situations, it is about comparing the performance of the two CPUs in question. It is a important information specially for longevity because you can see how much the CPU will be performing as the games get more demanding over time.
@@CL-jq1xsNo, this test with weak gpu card. Medium card like 3060 (6600) will be enough, and you can see real difference between these two proceccors in games, almost 100% fps) This test is not right, because first processor show all he can do, but another processor cant do it, because videocard can't show more fps
@@Tales541this test is unrealistic situation. First processor do its maximum, but another processor cant show all power because this videocard already dont allow it to arrive this power. And you think the difference is about 50%, when real difference is almost 100% if you ll take medium videocard like 3060
What setting and software are u using for rx6600 upload a video for that too Your video is looking smooth I was thinking that and has worst encoding but bow saw your video
Thanks for this. I'm planning to upgrade to an RX 6600 (from a GTX 1650) and was looking for videos that look into undervolting the RX 6600 (because it's gonna be a big jump in power draw compared to my old card). My PSU can handle it because I never skimp on PSUs, but electricity rates is ridiculously expensive in my country so I always try to reduce consumption where I can get away with it without sacrificing too much performance.
I THINK GTX 1650 CONSUMES MORE THAN RX 6600
@@athenaluna3351 I have both now and have done a lot of comparison, using a wattmeter and what msi afterburner gives. And yeah. I agree. On idle, the GTX 1650 consumes more. Because the RX 6600 turns off its fans on idle and drops its consumption to something like 3w. The GTX 1650's fans will still run (albeit at a slower rate) on idle and the power consumption is somewhere around 5W. But when going full load/pushed, there's no contest. The GTX 1650 can't pull in more than 75W (and doesn't even pull that much most of the time. Whereas the RX 6600 can exceed 100W easy. Although the increased power consumption is more than justified with the amount of performance it can get per watt compared to the GTX 1650. But bear in mind that my GTX 1650 is the DDR5 version that does not require external power connectors, so it's really limited to the max 75W that the PCIE slot can provide. I have no idea what the power consumption is on the GTX 1650 GDDR6 version that requires external power.
Radeon Adrenalin Settings Underclock: Max Clock - 2541 Voltage - 1100 mV Power Limit - Default Overclock: Max Clock - 2801 Voltage - 1150 mV Power Limit - +20 **Disclaimer - These settings are stable for my setup. Results may vary depending on your setup and GPU binning.
did you increase power limit using morepowertools too? or just in adrenaline
No, just in adrenalin.
What's the min freq? 100- below the max or just at default?@@useyour_pc8246
did you change the minimum clock?
No, I left it at default. But I tried changing it to -100 mhz lower than max and saw no change in performance and power consumption on idle.
with this drivers and gpu, you can enable RSR?
I'm looking for that answer too but I didn't find anything yet
Its not accurate to test GPUs at settings that are beyond their VRAM limits or it becomes a VRAM limit exhibition, not a test. We all know what happens to any GPU if you exceed the buffer.
A $400 2060 Super vs a $280 5600XT not bad for the price. Your Cyber Punk fps seemed low for the 5600XT, it averages 57 fps on 1080p high in most test. I remember that because it beat the RX 6600 in that game every time.
Looks like you're at the max arbitrary 1.76 GHz limit that's on RX 5600 XT VBIOSes. A "jailbreak" VBIOS mod is required for more than 1.76 GHz GPU core OC. For Radeon RX 5600 XT: These crave more core speed, but arbitrary core frequency limit in the VBIOS. VRAM OC doesn't seem to have as much of gains, and is more likely to cause WHEA "Cache Hierarchy Error" crashes. For GeForce GTX 16 series: Low watt limit in VBIOS, so it's normal to see Afterburner report "PWR" pretty much everywhere. The Ti, is suspected of having a lower watt limit than the Super, which only goes to 135W, so core OC gains are limited. OTOH, the GTX 16 series gains the most from VRAM OC'ing, especially the Super!
Ayo, Nice work bro! I was wondering if you are looking for a partner. We could work together. I don't have the graphic cards but I have great experience in editing and video production.
Ryzen 5600 is bottleneck with rx 5600 xt. Maybe,it is need rx 6700 xt.
Yes, that's the point of this comparison. If there is a big gap on games when the system is gpu bound.
The test doesn’t work if the GPU is the bottleneck. You aren’t maximizing either CPU if the GPU is the weak link.
no, 2600 is bottleneck to this gpu not 5600 hahahah did u watch the video, 2600 cant boost gpu to 99%, for 5600 its easy
@@murkinsquish6467 the test work because this is a common pairing of the CPU and GPU. CPU and GPU benchmark such as pairing the r5 2600 with a rtx 4090 is pointless to most people.

Hello, what % are your gpu rx 5600 xt fans are working on?
It is set on default.
nice job
Thank you! Cheers!
Performance improved in NVIDIA GPU.
So nimez drivers are worth only in in halo infinite
UPDATE: RX 5600XT low gpu usage and performance was due to using custom resolution via CRU 1.5 app. Switching to adrenalin custom resolution fixed the issue. Using a high refresh rate monitor can make your mem clock stucked at max freq, making a custom resolution fixes this bug on some AMD gpus like this navi.
just what i was looking for
how is it possible to get lower temp on higher cpu series? :D iam thinking to change my 2600 to 5600 too
The 2600 uses the stock cooler, that's why temp is higher.
