What a fantastic video. I would have thought that that much lightning would sent the camera's exposure system crazy but it didn't. Did you use a manual exposure. This is, without doubt, the best thunderstorm video I have seen. Well done

Its a summer thunderstorm. They are always very electrical like that too. Cuz of all the summer heat and humidity in the atmosphere fueling them during the day and especially on hot summer nights too.

Brilliant capture. I have only ever seen a storm with lightning like that once in my life in the uk, and I am 63 years old. Climate change will no doubt produce more and more violent weather.

I can almost smell the rain, listening to the thunder grumble as the storm approaches. I grew up in Minnesota, so this brings back memories.

I hate electical storms we get them a lot here in Florida

One extraordinary thunderstorm I experienced was October 15, 2022 in AZ. There was a small tornado that formed, followed by insane rain, hail, and strong winds and bright lightning. I also experienced a series of 3 destructive thunderstorms that ripped through AZ in July 10-12 of 2021. They ripped down all of my trees in my backyard, and brought torrential downpours of rain that flooded everything.

WOW! Tom is the guy who got me into weather which is why I’m a meteorologist now! I was never lucky enough to work in the same market as him, but we’ve meet many times! Can’t believe it’s already been a month, he is truly missed!

Wow, natures fireworks at their finest. That storm sure was electrified, that lightning was continous. I'm surprised that it didn't have a tornado in it.

Its very scary actually when u think about it as birds and other animals outside go quiet and hide in thier trees and take cover from an approaching storm as they know when one is coming before we humans do. Something about the quietness is just unnerving to me :O

No wonder Brits moan about the weather. Compared to the US, our weather is SHEEITE (no Muslim Jokes please!). `in all my life, I've only ever seen 2 storms with mad, continuous lightning. IT AIN'T ENOUGH, GOD,,, IF you believe.

What's the difference between Florida,the lightning capital? In the other states the lightning storms can be also even severe.In some states like West Virginia I follow a storm chaser on you tube who drives in the storms but he's also carefully.The lightning barrages and the thunderclaps are very extreem some times.Someone who knowns more over West Virginia? I don't live in the states but I like to see a lot of this videos.❤

This may sound strange to some, but I really miss these types of storms!! I/we grew up in Wisconsin and watched thunderstorms like this all night...lighting up the sky over corn fields as far a you could see.

Man. I miss really really miss this kind of weather in Tunisia. We get these thunderstorms in Tunisia during late summer and fall (Especially September and October ). The smell of rain, cool air, sound of thunder and non-stop lightning!. But sometimes they go out of control and cause Floods and destructive lightning! But from 2021 we rarely get good thunderstorms except May and June of this year. This fall we never even saw low clouds!

I very fun to see Lighning strikes on camera but it better to see it in person. I heard that camera doesn't do it justice you have to be in the area or near the area where the storm is to experience the lighning show!
