Considering I don’t want or need the light meter in this camera, I’d prefer the Canon P for the lower weight. The selectable frame lines on the 7 are nice, but not enough to overcome the nicer profile of the P imo.

Looking at getting one of these 7S's. Just wondering if you are using a straight 1.5v or 1.55v battery? Or if you are using some kind of adapter, like a MR-9 adapter to enable a modern battery being used in the 7S, that was made for mercury batteries? Like to hear from VanRenzler or anybody who are using the light meter in this camera.

The first thing is no u have to give up ur personal information copy of bills an a copy of ur bank statement witch I wasn't willing to do 😮idk if that was jus something they did over the weekend idk an they asked me for a picture of me holding the drivers license to top it off they loss the copys of my bills wow 😮then to top that off they asked me to make a new email 🤔 now when I first created the account it uploaded my information an thought I was already approved after that o but no I was not 🤔 but then I was gifted a gift card from a copy that shouldn't allowed them to buy the card when I wasn't a customer remember I wasn't never approved 🤔 but no turo went on an took there money an with the email they see there no account approved for the customer to book cars but no they went on an sold the card 💳 hmm 🤔 then they said u will be approved in jus a few hours well its been 4days hmm 🤔 no approval yet 🤔 OK refund the person money for the gift card #turo this is fraud u should of handled ur business but o the stuff is about to hit the fan cuz if the money is not returned asap like 6days I will be seeking legal opinions. It's always red tape..on weekends due to them using over sea workers an that's #turo problem an they are going to have to own this one an I also recorded an took pics an I'm over 30 so no I'm not a kids trying to rent a car ..I don't recommend them no .....glad u got a good experience 😊

The vehicle I rented for 3 days in ATL through Turo was $43.67 a day. Standard insurance was $17.47 a day. The Trip fee was $7.65 a day. Sales Tax was $11.93 total. All together, I was charged $218.28 for the entire rental. Owner was organized and fantastic. Right before that some hours before, I rented from a different owner who after waiting for the rental time to come up for hours finally messaged me that the car was in Las Vegas and would be unavailable for rental. I had to wait until he cancelled refunded me on his end. Once it was cleared, the app allowed me to select a different car.

I'm looking to rent a car, and I ended in Turo's website. First I thought this could be a scam website, thanks for showing me how it works.

I see host and guest with dad experiences on TURO. Owners with cars badly damaged by customers who mistreat them and TURO sending unjustified invoices to customers who have taken care of the cars. I consider that TURO is not doing a good job to guarantee everyone that they have a good experience. This makes me think that the commitment of these companies, owners and clients, is very little and that the benefits obtained from one and the other are very great.

It looks like if it was just a smidge larger, they'd hit the sweet spot for being a small bag and able to take a DSLR as well as mirrorless. Then they wouldn't have to deal with people returning everything wondering why it's too small or too large.

I wish there was a review where someone actually tried to put a mirrorless camera in here. I keep seeing people complaining that DSLRs don't fit and that its' small, but none that actually use the bag as it was intended.

Hey there! I want to order this sling for EDC without a camera. Im curious whether the top zip, which looks like it follows the perimeter of the rectangle, will work well when the compression straps are squishing the bag? I would want to wear the bag squished for a lower profile. Phone, wallet, keys, earphones, knife, gum...a purse.

The biggest drawback on the lenses for the Canon 7 series is that they only focus to 1 meter. You can focus down to .8 meter with newer voigtlander cosina lenses. Light meters on these cameras rarely work and I would suggest getting a new light meter or use your cell phone light meter.

Nice clean copy, i wouldn't say "beginner" btw ,that's one of the best rangefinders made.And that specific version is even better,and i have both a leica and the regular Canon 7 not the 7s .

Question: can you put a nikon d3400 dslr with nikkor 35mm into this bag? Would it fit?

If you're having a whole lot of trouble with focusing, the problem may just be that the camera's rangefinder needs to be re-callibrated. It doesn't seem likely that it has anything to do with the lens. It could also just be user-error with getting used to the rangefinder system, which certainly is a thing. But you might even try focusing on some things and physically measuring the distance and comparing it to the camera and see if it seems a little off (though I think you should just be able to focus on something at infinity and make sure that lines up correctly).

What exactly makes this a best beginner camera? An SLR makes much more sense...as your experience clearly shows Of course if you decide you like to have a range finder type camera for whatever reason go for it.

The front opaque window is not a flash. It is a window that allows light to illuminate the projected frame lines inside of the viewfinder. With regards to your missed focus images, you can focus with the central rangefinder patch inside the viewfinder. Match the double image inside the focusing patch and this is the sure way to know if you're in focus or not. Your rangefinder patch might need adjustment or worse case scenario, it is faded or dim and needs internal cleaning or repair. These cameras are easy to focus with if the patch is still clear and usable. The lenses that this camera can take are only Leica Thread Mount lenses or aka LTM screw mount lenses. It will not work with the newer Leica M-mount lenses which is a bayonet mount.
