I just reached 2001 lichess rapid yesterday and my coach gave me a new goal to reach 2100 so today I got to 2007. Btw, Sam Shankland is my favorite player since I came back to chess watching his 2016 US championship victory. The games were live at 8 pm in Europe, so I could watch entire live streams.

Hey girl, I was about to say that your "ELO RATING" of 2,100 on the internet WILL TRANSLATE DIFFERENTLY IN REAL LIFE if you face an expert Chess Player who plays real life chess and is a member of FIDE or any chess club with an actual chess rating of 2,000 to 2,200. If you are 2,100 on the internet then in real life you will not have the playing strength of a chess player who is actually rated at 2,100. BUT YOU JOINED TOURNAMENTS and knew that it is not the case in real life even if you are 2,100 on the internet. Way to go if you want to be a Candidate Woman Master or let me say WFM Woman FIDE Master! The harder the opponents will be if you want to get this real rating of 2,100+. I suggest you meditate, a kind of meditationg to have a better piece of mind, FULL CONCENTRATION and to be more creative! This will help you a lot on your chess journey. This is really nice. Congrats! Im 31 years old and just picked up chess 3,5 years ago. Started at a chess club almost a year ago and started competitions as well. Now i have a 1660 OTB rating. It will fall a bit since ive had a really bad tournament this month. But anyways, hoping to hit 1800 in a year or 2. I think in addition to your tips, besides doing puzzles, going to a club and starting classical chess has been the biggest change for me to improve. I improved my online rating from 1300 to 1700 in a year at the club, and got my official rating as well. Also gothamchess has some great courses, really recommend as well.

I'm so glad we have all these chess youtubers today. It makes learning so much more fun. Hikaru should be on that list as well :)

2100 in 2 years is crazy. I myself have played for one year, my rating is 1700 online and 1516 otb. Just a little reminder, otb rating doesn't translate to online. It's usually a couple hundreds in difference, but good luck with your OTB journey
