Very sad what has happened in LA however do remember LA is vast!! Pacific Palisades where the largest fires were were 25miles away from this Garland hotel!

Happy to help - We've done the St.Lucia resorts as well but still prefer Grenada. Probably a little more low key that by the main hotel at La Toc however the South Seas pool is usually lively where the beach pool is much quieter so depends what you're after!

Thank you! Totally agree, Dublin is great but so much more to Ireland to see in the country. Kinsale is even so different to Cork yet only a short distance away!

We were quoted $390 for just 2 of us however we got another couple to join us so they agreed to $300 per couple 👍

Lovely hotel if looking for hotel based break with a great spa, though looking to stay somewhere more central next time to enjoy the city's dining and nightlife. We visited in 1st week of March. The weather was bright but chilly but went for a swim both early in the morning and late at night (in separate video links that I shared). The pool was comfortably warm, just the getting out after was the issue! - however there was a sauna at the end of the pool deck.

Thanks Josephine! I used the pool first thing in the morning (usually opens at 8am) but did get busier later into the morning. It was also quieter last thing at night before closing. I also stayed mid week as suspect will be busier at weekend with more leisure travelers. Hope this helps!!

@@daleydepartures I was aware of that. Before I make a reservation and complete the payment on the website, I always check the breakfast options to decide whether to include them. In fact, I have been interested in the Spa at Manon Les Suites - Guldsmeden Hotel for several months, but I revisited my search today and came across your RUclips video titled "Hotel Review (not just the pool!)" which provided me with much clearer information :)

Unfortunate necessity now I'm afraid and every Christmas markets I've visited in the UK provisions in place, such as barriers to prevent vehicle entry. Given just after your comment, we saw the incident in the German Christmas markets - I would take the heightened security measures every time!

Well a Christmas market in a medieval city is a pretty great and unique combination!

Belfast is such an underrated city and has changed so much, it’s is so worth a visit. We spent a long weekend there and used it to also base to explore the Causeway Coast, Titanic Quarter and even all the Game of Thrones attractions / edits so follow our Belfast series to see even more!

Wow - how much change you must have seen from pure industry to urban redevelopment! Carlsberg Byen is a great district that many visitors do not visit, so hopefully the new Carlsberg experience will change that!

Thank you - glad you’ve watched the full series! So the Hideaway village pool you reference is not exclusive to those rooms. However as are so many similar pools all around the South Seas Village, it is rare for anyone else to use them. Hope this helps!

Good question and appreciate the feedback. The pool is heated and have read somewhere to 32’ C, though varies due to outside temperature. However was perfectly comfortable and certainly more pleasant than the cold bucket on the roof!!!

We visited in our previous Copenhagen video which you can we the entrance in the arches at timestamp 07.50 when we visited historic Carlsberg Byen. I did contact them however like most spas they do not permit filming. We stayed in a Lovers Lagoon Hideaway Junior Suite with Balcony Tranquility Soaking Tub ( code LJS ) I would definitely choose these over the walkout version as they are very dark inside as enter through the front patio doors. Balcony version has a separate entrance on opposite side to the balcony and additional windows / skylight in bathroom. Plus feels more spacious due to vaulted ceiling! Hope this helps and have a fab time!!

Hope you enjoyed the video! I booked last minute on Booking.com and found a rate nearly half what it would usually be. It was a quiet midweek night and often hold another chain hotel on a flexible rate to cancel in case a deal like this comes available!

We've done Sandals Royal Barbados the trip prior (before we started filming) which is even more dangerous as has a Cafe de Paris and the donut shop!! Love both resorts but each has a very different vibe. If you go back to Grenada look out for Rachel in CDP - she is amazing!!

Hopefully you’ll have more time to enjoy it than I did but make sure you try the spa and rooftop. Plus the waterfront will be amazing this time of year 😎

Hi Brandon All the 2nd level balcony rooms in the Lovers Lagoon area are accessed by a exterior stairs (see 02:45 in video). I was not aware or saw an elevated footpath to any of the rooms (perhaps the ones furthest from us by main path). I suspect the only rooms with balcony that may have a path access could be the waterfall rooms. Check out our resort tour video (08:05 - 08:31) where you can see a path leading to the rear of the rooms by the signpost (just before the gym path) I would contact the resort direct for a definitive answer to guarantee. Good luck!

Was such a short trip but am already planning to be back later in the year to stay at the Sommerro and visit the Viking Musuem for next video. @@daleydepartures I hate to tell you, but unfortunately the Viking museum is closed until 2027 because of reconstruction and extensions. There are many other museums worth visiting in the same area (Bygdøy) tho. If you are into Polar expeditions the Fram museum is a must. The Kon-Tiki museum is much smaller, but if you are familiar with Thor Heyerdahl it is worth a visiting. And of course the large open-air museum Norsk Folkemuseum which showcase Norwegian cultural history. Whatever you choose to do, I am looking forward to more interesting videos.

I was aware of the other museums and the Fram / Contiki were on my list, though knew trying to fit them and the Viking museum in a single day might be too adventurous - so looks like I will be doing those in the meantime! Scandinavia is not cheap for sure, however like anywhere you can always target some more affordable options. In part 2 we found a Michelin Star restaurant but a fraction of the cost of the likes of Noma!
