back when the game was in beta i was getting 80-90 fps with a 3600 at 1440p low, so I'd assume the 5800x3d would at least get 100-120

I get an avarage of 100-110 with very bad 1% (around 40) and 0,1%(around 10-20) on Ryzen 5 3600. With x3d you should get an avarage of around 130-140 and much better lows. Atleast double the 1% and 0.1%s. 2070s is still a great card for this game. Around 20-60% usage with my 3600.

Large maps, a lot of processing needed, your cpu has to focus more on that than generating frames. That’s why.

@@NoXterium When attempting to start a machine with a new CPU, the machine will not run the boot cycle. After a check with ASUS support, they can confirm that the motherboard (GA G15DH) is not compatible with the CPU. There is no newer version of BIOS than v3.03 either. Since this motherboard is manufactured without a FlashBack module, we believe that an unofficial BIOS upgrade is too risky. The recommendation is to change the motherboard to, for example, the ASUS B450 series, which has support for the AMD AM5800 series CPU. So a new card it is :)

I just upgraded from a ryzen 3600 to a 5800x3d. My gpu is a 2070 super and I play on a 1440p 144hz g-sync monitor. You will see no improvements in Warzone 2. I thought I was going crazy because I went from 72 fps to 144 fps in Forza 7, as well as, 80 fps to 144 fps in High On Life. But I ran the MWII benchmark with the 3600 then with the 5800x3d with the same results. Both the avg fps and 1% lows were the same. I play with all settings at low and usually get around 115 fps in warzone. The 3600 was bottle-necked by a 2070 super in Warzone 2. If you play cpu intensive games, you can just about double you're fps, but Warzone is not one of those games. Also, if you play vr games, the 5800x3d made my vr experience much better. Very smooth frames.

@@gregorypaul7898 Are you sure? Looking back at my original comment I have no idea why I said I get the same frames... with 3900x and 2070S i only get 110 on WZ2. Do you mind checking what you get on WARZONE 2 1080p Lowest Settings? This guy is getting avg of 147 are you around the same avg for 1080p? I have the 5800x3d + 6750xt on the way from amazon but Im thinking of returning it if i can get 150 avg with 5800x3d 2070S on Lowest settings 1080p.

@@007Junior Just ran the benchmark @1080p low settings. 155fps avg. 105fps 1% low. The cpu is getting around 300fps, but the gpu is avg 155fps. You should be fine, the benchmark looked pretty smooth. Also, Warzone does not like it when I overclock my card. I always get a crash, even from just a small overclock. Other games are fine with a mild overclock, though. Now that I got the 5800x3d, I'll probably stay on this am4 platform for another 4 or 5 years and just upgrade my gpu when prices drop.

thats the point, higher gpu usage means your cpu is doing it's job.

Rust for whatever reason seems to love the extra L3 cache the 5800x3d has. The 13700k only has 30mb of L3 cache compared to the 96mb the 5800x3d has. The game is heavily cpu bound so your 4090 doesn’t do much for you as far as performance goes in 1080p and 1440p. The 7950x3d and 7900x3d that are coming out are gonna be insane for rust performance!
