Id never move back to Portsmouth, im proud to be Pompey but the parking situation is terrible and its not a good place to be walking around in after dark , lots of stabbings reported on the increase

Many shops have closed down and been boardered up in Portsmouth and it has seen better days. I went to Commercial Road after the lockdown and didn't even recognize it anymore. It was dead. You should go to Waterlooville nearby the shopping centre there is non existent these days. But years ago it was bustling with huge crowds the same as Commercial Road used to be. A lot of the department stores have been closed down too in Commercial Road and Palmerston Road and being turned into apartments. Even after all that it still has a lot going for it especially in Southsea.

Commercial road needs flattening and rebuilding portsmouth council seem to think that putting new seating and trees magically transforms it plus the cascades center is pitiful compared with other city's indoor shopping centers.
