Poor pooch, i havent ever seen a dog handled ao roughly while havibg its anal glads done and if it makes you feel that ill then ask a vet, or see if your vet does nurse clinics, to do it they are very used to doing them and they dont make a fuss about them (also think yourself lucky, they smell a thousand times worse when a abscess forms on them or they get a infection, was one of the worse smells i encountered as a vet nurse)
