Is the time code data being log from the time of day on companion app. If I record with my ATEM is there a way I can get time code from it.. thanks… I’m lost on where the actual time code is being referenced from…

If you are using the same router consistantly with these devices, then use the 'DHCP address assignment' function in the router to maintain a consistent IP address for each device. It's basically matching a MAC address on the devices wifi radio with a specific IP address.

Question. Since it works with companion, will it work with vmix too? If I set the triggers correctly, it should be able to communicate right? I use vmix with my atem extreme iso. Vmix is my switcher and my atem as iso recording and streaming from the computer. I’d like it all to work together with this. I use companion and mixeffect to control everything.

This looks great. I might actually purchase this soon once i get paid for my next job. I was looking for something like this for my streaming jobs. Great video and explanation.

How did you get it to connect? I've been having issues upon issues getting it to try to recognize any IP address I feed it.

I got mine during the pandemic too and 3 black magic cameras. Shot a bunch but slowed down cause I realized it’s just like with music. I hate editing😂

How do the rotary knobs work if I only want to use the Stream Deck Studio with USB and the Elgato software? Are they supported?

When you say queue, do you mean "scene" similar to OBS? Are you able to intelligently step through slide/image shows by slide number?

If you don’t have WiFi or internet on a computer. How would you connect the stream deck to control two computers simultaneously? Network switch and router make your own LAN?

This leveled up my stream control and coding by discovering that once I installed companion on my streaming rig (Rig 1), installed satellite on my editing rig (rig 2) using Stream Deck Mobile, then unplugged the Stream deck from Rig 1 to Rig 2 and connected Stream Deck Mobile to Rig 1 - I could use stream deck mobile and companion via the physical Stream Deck to have two decks that control either computer. I use Companion running on the Stream Deck for scenes and stats and use Stream Deck Mobile for b-rolls, ads, effects, reacts. They both excel in their own fields and when you can put them both to their best use, you really open a lot of options. This expands my two system one set of I/O setup (using VoiceMeeter to route audio I/O between them and four monitors all shared between both plus a capture card).

What keyboard are you using?

I love this product. In production have an application to monitor different inputs on a Dante network, would be great to use these buttons to select inputs.

Great overview of the device, I getting one for app launching and opening common project files since it’s long like an App dock. I have 2 stream deck xl’s which will sit on top. One for frequent shortcuts and office automation control, the other is for shortcuts for what ever app I’m using. Yes my desk looks like a Xmas tree but I find it super productive.

Are you saying you need to lower the security of your Mac to get Buttons / Companion to work with two daisy chained SD Studio’s?

It's robust :) Tested Premiere Pro multicam in 4K : Faster than my MacBookPro M1 Pro, and so smooth :) Plus, totally silent and cool. Going to rack mount it despite it being thicker than 1 rack unit and the button below. Thanks again for your great work and videos!

Hearing the plan of acquiring the Mac Mini M4, I cannot wait to see the evolution. This stream is already great quality. But having that much CPU/GPU, is going to really smooth things out, extra reserve capacity.

Is it possible that the SD Studio consists of two “panels” each with a dial and 2x8 buttons (the second one installed up site done) - perhaps this is how “sections” are implemented?

Besides the NFC what additional hardware functions are available on SD Studio? (I find it difficult from Elgato descriptions to determine what is hardware and what is software / Companion modules)

How would I add a second computer to this? For example I have OBS, Facebook and Logic Pro one computer and I have showxpress and ProPresenter on another computer. I am wanting to add the showxpress and ProPresenter to my streamdeck running on the other computer. This will allow me to use one SD to control all the things on both computers…
