How to Drawing Pentagon with an Unscaled Ruler and Compass (Accurate Method 2)
Hey, everyone! In this tutorial, I'll guide you through the steps of drawing an Inscribed Regular Pentagon using just an unscaled ruler and a compass. Let's dive in:
Here's what you'll need:
- Unscaled ruler
- Compass
- Pencil
Step-by-step instructions:
1. Mark a point at any location, labeled as O.
2. With O as the center, use any radius to draw a circle.
3. Draw a straight line through O, intersecting the circle at points A and G.
4. With A and G as centers, draw circular arcs greater than AO in radius.
5. Connect the intersection points of the two arcs to create the line AG; this is the perpendicular bisector of AG.
6. Mark the two intersection points on circle O as F and H.
7. With H as the cente...

Hey, everyone! In this tutorial, I'll guide you through the steps of drawing an Inscribed Regular Pentagon using just an unscaled ruler and a compass. Let's dive in: Here's what you'll need: - Unscaled ruler - Compass - Pencil Note: This pentagon is a regular pentagon inscribed in the circle. According to this method, the theoretical angle for each of its 5 angles is ∠DEA = ∠EAB = ∠ABC = ∠BCD =...

When he does the thing where he's got lil arch's intersecting on opposite sides outside the circles perimeter in order to find the "Equator" - Does it matter what angle the compass it set at/the distance between the needle & pencil when making those initial marks to draw that centerline through? It seemed kind of arbitrary the way it was done. I'm running under the notion that the compass angle does not have to be anything super mathmatical. Assuming the compass is locked in at the same degrees for every mark & that the angle is wide enough to reach the outside of the circle - a range of angles set on the compass can be used to make those intersecting points which are used to draw the "Equator", Yeah? Anyone got the answer to that?
❤🎉
Thank you

I can't understand 😂
this is blatantly wrong. don't waste your time watching this. get a technical drawing text book instead
what u mean who will say lengths and how to cut waste
Many thanks for your efforts... Can you please explain why G and H are the trisecting points? In other words what is the theoretical knowledge behind it?
Great, now I counterfeit a loonie
If you wanna go the extra step, shade the nonagon in yellow and add a face with a BIG smile- Also… “CHAOS WILL UNFOLD IF NONAGON’S SMILE FADES”
Thank u so much

Ya ya ya!! Nice work!
Jaagup lööper
To do this I need now strength 3 reading glasses and a $25 bucks precision compass :-) I've always been in awe about Gauss' construction, which he did when he was just 19 or so. The original manuscript in the math library in Göttingen, Germany. At least it was there when I was a physics student there in a 1970-ties. It was written in Latin - of course! (🙂)
This is some supreme nerd shit
Measurements say pls🙏
Thank you
Idk how people find this helpful. There is no measurements given on the adjustment of the compass size. Crucial information.
Its really okay but no tutorials and is too fast
I’m crazy drawing this before watching this vid

Thanks! Very so much!
THANK YOU!!😊😊 My math project is all done because of you!!😉😉😉
For those wondering, this isn’t a true 11-gon, although it’s very close. Based on the construction, the side lengths would be 0.558… if the radius is 1, while a true 11-gon should have side lengths of sqrt(2*(1-cos(2pi/11))) = 0.563… Allegedly, it’s impossible to construct an 11-gon with just a ruler or straight edge. Something about Galois theory or something idk. However, its apparently constructible if you also use something called a “neusis”. Not too sure what that is tho. Here’s a video of that construction: m.ruclips.net/video/g3Fvvm4rmao/видео.html
