I’ve played the first two chapters so far and I’m absolutely hooked. Without saying any spoilers, I think the characters are absolutely amazing, might already be my favourite of any LiS game, the powers work really well, the choices feel like they matter and the murder mystery story is incredible so far plus chapter 2 ended on a mind blowing cliffhanger and I can’t wait for the full release. I love Jack’s theory about the ending, and I thought the same thing could be possible too. Also I think Max is clearly the same character and she earnt her spot in this game, like she couldn’t be replaced by another person with the same story, they’ve made her character and past integral to the plot, and it’s great. That’s all I’ll say, can’t wait for your guys reactions to the game as it releases!

I liked the style of the previous game more, it felt more stylized ig? Also for the new one I wonder if using the power has consequences, like destabilizing one timeline versus the other especially when you bring one item over from the other. I wonder if not returning the item to its original timeline will have any effect as people will be affected by their counterparts in the opposite universe. Also if there is a counter part for everyone in the other universe or something similiar then where is OUR counterpart and what if that Max will be the one to trigger whatever side effects of our powers (or that Max is the one trying to kill the girl, or maybe we are a max from a different timeline and are able to go thru the timelines the previous Max created?). Idk Im excited!

Not a fan of the cannonized ending & letting Josh survive personally it means the choices of who to save becomes moot especially if the make a sequel & half the originals are unalived

Hello :) I’m excited to learn more about Max’s new power and how much it’ll develop throughout the game :) I don’t think it’s that similar to Tell Me Why though. Tell Me Why gave you a glimpse into alternate memories, and you had to choose which one you prefer; Double Exposure gives you a glimpse into alternate realities, but you can actually visit and influence them. Doesn’t sound that similar to me XD I bet it will be very fun to visit the two timelines! I will obviously disable the option to show the timeline I’m in, so I can get more immersed with the game. However, I do wonder how possible mistakes will be handled. Will it be just an “oh, oops” situation or will it actually affect anything? Obviously, I don’t expect a single mistake to completely change the narrative of the game, but I do hope it’s more than a change in dialogue. I really hope the ending choice will be more creative than “decide the timeline in which you want to live in” XD It could still work, I guess, depending on how appealing the two timelines are, but I can’t help but think it would be way too similar to Life is Strange. Honestly, I’d prefer an ending where the two timelines are merged and another ending choice has to be made :) Well, we’ll find out soon!

The idea of choosing a timeline would be an interesting one, accepting her death or staying with her for a while. However, it would kinda feel redundant if we get another similar ultimatum except this time, the town doesn't seem to be in danger (at least from the trailers). It's like hamburgers, some may look different but they usually have the same taste.

I do think they might do the same 2 choice ending like the LIS games, AndI forgot about this game tbh😭

I think the Mike Sole Survivor ending is pretty dark. Cuz when you think about it, he will confess to shooting Emily (if that’s how she dies) and there r implications that everyone’s death will be pinned on him. Including Hannah and Beth.

I disagree with Caleb a lot, I don't think he should be in this list. As stated, Abi is really really hard to keep alive. For Caleb to die you need Abi or Emma to live. Also, Emma can get infected in two different moments, either by Max or by Caleb. So if she is dead/infected, she's out of the picture. You also need to find the silver bullets on the ground in the basement. Laura does give Abi a silver bullet, but she can give it to Kaitlyn if Emma got bit by Max, and again, she is hard to keep alive. Theeen you still need to investigate to get the silver bullet and theeen you have to not miss the shot, and this one is not that easy of a shot. Also for pacifist players people can also just avoid getting the bullets just to avoid killing Caleb (although in a first gameplay you don't know who it is, but you could still avoid shooting random werewolves) by trying to survive another way (with the toy). It's also rare but you can get Kaitlyn infected by Caleb in the scrapyard and have him sniff her and just leave the lodge. Anyway, I like watching people play supermassive games and from my experience watching people, most people have Abi and Emma dead (or Emma infected) by the end. I would argue Constance is one of the hardest because most people hit the QTEs by instinct thinking they're protecting Laura and then she just get shot and dies

Andrew is a no-brainer. I didn’t even know he could die. I forgot about Dylan, but he deserves that second spot. Most people just shoot Caleb and rarely need to do the QTE in the crane car. I also agree that Sam deserves to be higher than the soldier boys. She has a 100% out on the lightswitch, and Jason and Salim's QTEs require multiple button presses and fast reactions. If you are not comfortable with an Xbox button layout or you have bad eyesight, then they probably die. Not moving is intuitive and easy. I'm fully on board for the entire list.

I think you kinda need 3 or 4 different lists for keeping characters alive 1. NPC only list 2. Characters with 5 or more plausable deaths 3. Characters with 4 or less plausable deaths

Well thankfully in the PC remake of until dawn he was given a new good ending (no spoilers) but it's actually a good ending

I've seen a few added scenes, like with Emily falling down into the "mass grave" section of the mine. The lighting for the "This is the safe room!" panic induced by Ashley was great. And the cinematic, over-the-shoulder angles are especially good in Ch 10 for that final confrontation with Wendigo Hannah. And in case Liam is wondering, Dr Hill is turning into a zombie because you picked the zombie option, slowly decaying and turning into "a haunting reminder of what awaits us in the grave" as Josh spirals further into madness. The remake/remaster was pretty good. The only thing I didn't approve of was the new "accessing totem visions" system.

Great play through! I enjoyed this remake even if it is worth $60.
