Can E. coli grow on nutrient agar?
From where we collect mixed bacteria culture? That you have inserted the inoculation loop into the mixed culture of bacteria.
You can take soil samples
@@rbrlifescience thank you
@@rbrlifescience sir if possible make video on both quantitative and qualitative estimation of carbohydrates, protein and lipid. Your animated videos are very interesting to watch. Thank you again ❤️
@cultureandtourism253 thank you and I will definitely make video on this.

Why 1grm of soil in 50ml water?. Is dis jt an assumption or it's from an SOP?
Generally soil contains organic materials so it will have large number of bacteria. To get isolated colonies it is better to take 1 gm of soil. It's an assumption. It's not as per SOP
Thank you sir
Thanks Sarita 😀
thankyou sir
Welcome Sneha
dirty punjabi
Is it necessary for antibacterial activity
if 13gram is for 1000mL , why you only added 500mL ??
I have taken 1.5 grams of Nutrient broth powder in a 500 ml capacity flask and in this 500 ml capacity flask I have added 100 ml distilled water. Always make media in Higher capacity flask. For example If you are making 100 ml NB then prepare it in 500 ml capacity flask. It will also leave head space during autoclave and space for oxygen if bacteria are inoculated directly in flask.
@@rbrlifescience Thankyou sir. i am new to microbiology so a little knowledge. can u help me in one question..suppose i have to do graim staining for that i need a sample of bacteria to be fixed on glass.. Where will i get this bacteria from ? i dont have any cultured bacteria
Tq sir
Welcome
well explained
Thank you So much and Stay Tuned
Is this method according to iso? I lately worked in a lab wich they consider an inoculum of 0.1 ml from dilution 1/10 as a1/100 dilution on Petri dish Is that right? I could not understand it because they only spread the inoculum & not diluting it. Please I want an answer.
Yes it is but you have to do literature survey
@@rbrlifescience Thank you for replying. But your yes belongs to which part of my question? Is spreading 0.1 ml of dilution 1/10 on a solid culture medium becomes 1/100? Would you please briefly explain it? Or give me a link or any reference?

@@rbrlifescience Thank you so much.
Wow
Welcome 🙂
Casi no entendí pero las imágenes ayudaron mucho para comprender y me siento mas seguro para hacer mi examen de esto
English please
Plz remove subtitle
Yes I agree bro but you can remove it from settings
Thank you. It was very educative. One question. Why would we need to find out the number of cells? In what research do we need it?
To see the growth pattern of bacteria in culture we need to count cells.
ii only get a mass of colonies in the first sector whenever i try these lol
With practice you will get isolated colonies
After preparing the Agar solution, can i use it to culture bacteria within 48 hrs without putting it in d refrigerator?
Yes you can use plates after 24 hrs of incubation
Nice
Most welcome
Thank you very much sir for this great explanation ❤
Most welcome
But why we use autoclaving or incubator
We use autoclave to setrilize and dissolve the media. After sterilization we pour the media in petri plate and after agar in plate solidifies we need to keep plates in incubator for drying for 24 hrs -48 hrs. This incubation is also check any contamination while pouring.
How do we know that we need 4.6gm of NA in 200ml of H2O
On NA bottle, it is mentioned that for making 1000 ml of NA you need to take 28 grams of NA powder from bottle and suspend it in 1000 ml distilled water. It's just calculation 28 g for 1000ml 2.8g for 100 ml 4.6g for 200 ml Have a great day 😊
Thank you sir very nice class🙏🙏
Welcome 🤗
very helpful:))
