I acquired this 1983 Ford F350 6.9L IDI Diesel dump truck my my neighbor. But can I get it back on the road?
Yeah don't watch. The man was doing good the just painted a rusty trailer at the end.
The problem with the carriage bolts is that as the wood dries you constantly have to tighten the bolts
Pile of progress.
Fenders, rockers, cab corners, delete the reading bed, frame repair, and ??? I'm excited for the next video! New sub from Ohio here
Looks awesome, thanks for the video
There is rust inhibitive paints. He might have used that so painting over rust would prevent rust in the future.
Subscribed !
I with 3600 was cheap to me 😂 I drive sub 1000 dollar projects 😂
I love your profile picture 😊
I've seen cheaper but they run way worse. The 6.6 is no matter which way you turn them can be a win-win or a lose lose never a win-lose or lose when.

Those old ford wheels look really cool on it. Nice job
Living here in Indiana I’m all too familiar with rust.. definitely an experience chasing it down to fix. Great video
Good truck
Easy sub from me, you make great videos. I dig the fiber glass repair and the light bar, that thing cuts like a champ! Keep em’ coming 👍🏼
I’m a sucker for revival videos. New subscriber here. Enjoyed the video. Cant wait for the sequel. 😊
Can’t wait for pt 2
How many miles are on the truck?
332,000 miles and running strong!
You made me a new subscriber. Living in Minnesota I am unfortunately intimately familiar with rust.
Great work
I bought a LWN Colorado last year, this is good info for me to learn on maintenance, despite being a different engine and truck.
I really like the Chevy Colorados. The 2.8L Duramax powered ones are especially cool!
It was a lot of fun watching you work. Can’t wait to see part 2. From RI
Thank you for watching! In the second video this truck will be looking & driving even better!
An easy fix for those broken off clutch fins would be to drill them out for a bolt as large as you can make fit and tap it and locktight the bolt in so the head is even with the rest of the tops of the fin heads. It may not be perfectly balanced, but it's better than nothing.
Smart young man. Buy the old stuff which was quality built and fix it instead of buying new crap and going into debt
best mower ever made is a snapper rear engine rider
SANDBLAST!
I got three 445s. Love them
Hmmm…. Stumbled across this. Like the JD430 garden tractor. Really like seeing a young guy with skills and wanting to fix things.
Only thing I would've changed is using heat shrink instead of electrical tape, stops moisture from working its way in and corroding the wires from the inside.
The injector pump on those old 6.9's was a POS ! UNless you put a Turbo on that engine they wouldn't pull a sick hooker out of a Brothel fire !
Turned out fantastic. Great job
Ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Definitely new bolts.
Shorter bolt and a deep swivel socket
Some ratcheting wrenches would work well for those bolts
I have rebuilt a couple of in closed car hauler's call me crazy but it was a good time
What paint is thag
Been really looking forward to seeing your next video after seeing the diesel lawn tractor video. Great stuff!
Wet sleeve or dry sleeve engine? I have a 152 perkins in a mf20 industrial.
Great job 👍
Nice job 👍🏻
Is it okay to paint over surface rust ? I always thought it was bad period to paint over any rust at all. Just that when you did it, it looks really nice. Just wondering if that's okay.
Did you end up selling the gravely? I have the twin cylinder commercial version of that and need a few parts.
I thought DOT tape had to be 50% of length??
No sound is pissing me off
Looks Pretty good from here Pal..
Loser
Dude, that came out awesome!
Grandad had a 425 all wheel steer, he passed and i have his x475 all wheel steer, they are the best you can get
Just got a well used x495 myself, a few things here and there and I got it running, mine gad a busted left tail as well.... It is a pleasure to drive, as its a beast compared to my 600 hr d160, albeit even the latter was just was treated to a k66 trans upgrade and a 325 front axle with custom front kingpin/pindles allowing for 5x4.5 wheels rims up front to match the rear.....
I had a 92 420 I used winter and summer for 24 years mowing 4 acres and pushing snow. I replaced it in 2016 with a 1025R. The 420 &430 were a great tractor
